Designer Furnished Lakefront Home In Briarwood Development
Our home was built and furnished for our family and is now offered as a rental. We are now sharing our love of this home with others. As a Master Gardener, I lovingly chose the beautiful and mature lush landscaping that surrounds our home. Since we have a home in the North, we wanted our Briarwood home to reflect Old World Florida style so we chose yellow for the stucco exterior with white trim.
The interior of our home offers a vaulted ceiling in the livingroom. There is a separate formal diningroom, completely equipped open kitchen with granite counters and eat in breakfast area. The Master bedroom has a new King sized bed, walk in closet and warm hardwood floors. There is an attached bathroom that has a walk in shower, soaking tub and double vanities.
Guest bedrooms are located on the opposite side of the house and have their own access to the pool area. The second bedroom has a Queen sized four poster bed and large closet. An elegant bathroom with tub and shower separate the guest bedrooms. The third bedroom has Twin sized beds and hardwood floors. The third bedroom overlooks the pool and extended patio.
Because of our love of Chinoiserie influence you will see it in many of the rooms. The livingroom has a beautiful Chinoiserie breakfront. The diningroom furniture is rosewood and also has a Chinoiserie style. The guest bathroom has a custom made shower curtain and matching wallpaper that reflects the same influence.
The third bedroom reflects a tropical feel with the wallpaper, matching valences and rattan/wicker twin beds.
Our large private pool is heated with solar or electric power. We chose the building site we did as the pool faces much desired Southern exposure which means it is in the sun all day. We enlarged the pool area which accommodates 4 chaise lounges and several seating areas. The pool also faces a large lake and nature preserve which provides total privacy. You can watch the birds enjoying the tranquility of the lake or fish for their food. The lanai is our favorite area for entertaining particularly since the glass sliding doors in the livingroom pocket back and expose the room to the pool area. The entire lanai is screened. There is a gas grill on the patio as well.
Our private gated community of Briarwood has a clubhouse, community pool, children's play area and tennis courts.
Pets are welcome with prior owner approval. If approved, all pets must be on monthly flea preventative. There is maximum of two pets allowed with prior owner approval. There is a nonrefundable pet fee which is shown when you acknowledge you are bringing pets on the application. Briarwood does have restrictions on several breeds (not our decision).
Our home and lanai are non-smoking.
There is a tourist tax, departure cleaning fee, a refundable security deposit if no damage is done. A maximum of two pets is allowed with prior approval of owner. There is a nonrefundable fee of $150 for pets. Briarwood does restrict certain dog breeds. The Briarwood Property Owners Association requires an application and a fee to process. The fee is $100 if requested information is submitted at least 30 days in advance of occupancy and $150 if submitted two weeks in advance or $200 if submitted a week prior to occupancy. Renters are able to obtain one decal for their car to enter the guard gate as an 'owner' without stopping as a 'visitor'. Electric pool heat in Winter is charged per week when used.
We have a minimum of 7 night stay. During December, January, February and March which are high season months in Naples, rentals are a minimum of 14 days rather than 7 days.
We would encourage renters to inquire about renter's insurance which is available through AAA or many private companies. It is not expensive but well worth it in event of unexpected illness.

My husband is a retired physician and I am a retired clinical social worker. We both grew up in the Pittsburgh area and fell in love with Naples when we rented a home there for a month. We discovered Briarwood as we were looking for places to build our home. The location of the development could not have been better. They say 'location, location, location' is important and we believed that we had found the perfect place.
Briarwood is a private, gated community located on Livingston and Radio Roads. It is minutes to Old Naples,beaches, shopping and restaurants as well as Interstate 75. Only 25 minutes from Southwest International Airport (Ft. Myers).
