Great garden in a beautiful environment.

The house is beautiful. Also the garden is beautiful and big. You can play football with the whole family. The environment is also beautiful with mountains, lakes and woods for walking and swimming. We enjoyed our stay very much.

If you are looking for a place with a big screen TV, a spa bathroom and gourmet kitchen, this is not for you. If you are looking for a spacious historic home on a lovely property overlooking snow-capped mountains, an hour's drive or so from Milan and Lakes Orta, Maggiore and Como, you are there. The rooms have been lovingly painted in trompe l'oeil, and while a little faded, the effect is magical. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooms are large. Yes, there are soccer nets and a ping-pong table. Even after a hot day in the city, the house is designed and situated so that you always have a cool breeze. Terzilla and Marco are very helpful, but have Google Translate on your phone if your Italian is limited. The town of Invorio is small enough that everything is within walking distance, although if you are accustomed to North American hours, you will need to adjust your shopping style. Walking around, you can see the remains of the 1000-year old stone walls and gates of this formerly walled city and the "trademark" shape of a serpent devouring a man, the sign of the Visconti family, the Milan powerhouse than ruled for over 200 years. We discovered new sites every day. The Monday market in Invorio has good fresh food. We enjoyed sitting outside the cafes in town relaxing with a coffee or a glass of wine and a snack. We spent hours at the markets in nearby Arona and Stresa buying Italian linens and leather goods. We loved the Maggiore Express, a ferry ride from Arona to Lucarno, Switerland, returning on the train the same day. The views are stunning. Our group of five adults loved this house and felt that all of our expectations were met and exceeded. Thanks to Luca and family for letting us share this wonderful place.

Ich habe mich sofort in das Haus verliebt und wäre am liebsten noch eine Ewigkeit dort geblieben. Der Charme vergangener Epochen durchströmt das ganze Gebäude und den wundervollen Park. Meine Mitreisenden haben zwar die Enge des Duschbades bemängelt, ich hingegen habe mich gefreut, dass wir zwei Bäder hatten! Deswegen schreibe ich auch gar nichts über Vorzüge oder Nachteile, weil das jeder anders bewertet. Mein Fazit: Wer ein individuelles "Zuhause auf Zeit" sucht und nicht extrem anspruchsvoll ist, wird hier sehr glücklich sein. Ich für meinen Teil war es! Danke Luca, dass wir deine Gäste sein durften!

So schön!!!

Wir haben 10 tolle Tage in Lucas wunderschönem alten Herrenhaus verbracht und uns täglich aufs neue in die vielen alten Schmuckstücke verliebt. Die Möbel, die Decken, die Lampen, die Böden, die Töpfe..etc...charmante bezaubernde Antiquitäten. Der Garten ist schon eher ein Park mit schönem, alten Baumbestand und perfekt für Fussball oder Verstecki-Spielen.Wir wurden herzlichst von Armando empfangen, der uns alles gezeigt hat und auch mit Luca, dem Besitzer, war der Kontakt äußerst freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit.Wir waren mit 6 Personen, 3 Generationen, in dem tollen Haus, wir wollen alle wiederkommen!!!

Prachtige historische villa

Wij verbleven hier een week in september. De villa is prachtig met authentieke details. De tuin erom heen is gigantisch en je hebt echt het gevoel op een landgoed te verblijven. De inrichting en aankleding vonden wij niet helemaal passen bij de sfeer van de villa. Vanuit de omgeving hadden wij wel wat last van rumoer zoals bijv. autoverkeer en blaffende honden. Het plaatsje Invorio vonden wij niet zo gezellig aandoen. In de buurt kun je echter naar bijv. Orta en Arona dat wat sfeervollere plaatsjes zijn. We hebben ook Isola Bella bezocht met de boot. Dit is zeer de moeite waard.

Tolles altes Anwesen mit Charme

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in einer über 200 Jahre alten beeindruckenden Villa, welche den Charme der alten Zeit behalten hat. Das riesige Anwesen mit den alten Bäumen rundet den Aufenthalt ab. Bei der recht schmalen Einfahrt bleibt zu beachten, dass tiefe Fahrzeuge Gefahr laufen, aufzusetzen. Weiter ist zu empfehlen, ausreichend Anti-Moskitospray etc. mitzunehmen. In der Region Piemont sind die Moskitos sehr stark vertreten und auch sehr aggressiv. Der Vermieter sowie die Menschen, welche helfen sich um das Anwesen zu kümmern, sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wer Filterkaffee mag, sollte sich Kaffeefilter mitbringen. Wir konnten zumindest kein Geschäft finden, welche solche anbot. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen das Haus gerne weiter.

Romantisch Italiaans landhuis nabij Lago Maggiore

Het huis heeft veel karakter. Het is bijzonder ruim en heeft veel sfeer. De klassieke inrichting met prachtig beschilderde hoge plafonds straalt romantiek uit. In het hele huis ervaar je de lange geschiedenis ervan. De bedden zijn comfortabel. Het uitzicht vanuit de masters bedroom is fenomenaal. De enorme ommuurde tuin om het huis met 200 jaar oude bomen is eigenlijk een privépark, inclusief een veldje om te voetballen. De tafeltennistafel is heel plezierig. Het huis ligt op loopafstand van een supermarkt. In ruim een uur ben je in Milaan. Het Lago Maggiore bereik je in een kwartier. Het andere nabijgelegen meer, Lago d´Orta is ook snel en gemakkelijk te bereiken. De verhuurder is gastvrij en behulpzaam. De communicatie verliep erg goed. Zoek je een karaktervolle plek om te verblijven, even buiten de drukte aan de meren zelf, dan is dit huis een aanrader.

Charmantes Haus mit riesigen Garten

Das Haus ist 200 Jahre alt und hat sehr viel Charme. Die großen auch in der Hitze kühlen Räume sind angenehm. Die Kinder haben sehr gerne viel Tischtennis gespielt.Wir waren sehr oft in den kleinen, niedlichen Orten am Ortasee und die Kinder sind auch einmal einen Klettersteig am Lago Maggiore hochgeklettert, was mit einer grandiosen Aussicht belohnt wurde. Alle Einkäufe haben wir in dem gut sortierten und fußläufig erreichbaren Supermarkt erledigen können.

Urlaub an einem verzauberten Ort

Wir haben einen wunderbaren Urlaub in diesem atmosphärischen, behutsam renovierten Haus mit herrlichem Grundstück verbracht. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war zuverlässig und freundlich. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen. Die Bäder sind für ältere Menschen etwas unbequem, weil sie sich auf Zwischenetagen befinden.

Das Ambiente des 200 Jahre alten sehr schönen Hauses ist etwas ganz Besonderes. Die Weite des riesigen, parkähnlichen Grundstückes war ein Erholungswert für sich. Ebenso der Charme der hohen und sehr großen liebevoll eingerichteten Zimmer. Einzig das untere Bettsofa war etwas unbequem, hier wäre ein weicher Topper wünschenswert. Wenn etwas fehlte oder Fragen bestanden, war der nette Verwalter schnell zur Stelle. Die Kommunikation zum Besitzer verlief äußerst freundlich und umfangreich Wem die einfachen Bäder ausreichen, ist das Haus mit einer Gruppe sehr zu empfehlen.

Merveilleuse maison d’un charme fou

Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances dans cette fantastique propriété familiale entre le fabuleux lac majeur et l’extraordinaire lac d’Orta. La maison est ancienne, les vitres en verre ancien et la literie un peu passée. A part ces petits bémols, tout est parfait ! Les chambres sont grandes, les pièces spacieuses et agréables, le parc ni plus ni moins fantastique. Les enfants faisaient du vélo, du foot, des jeux de balles, du ping-pong, le tout dans le très grand et magnifique parc privé ! Comme la maison est ancienne nous n’avons pas souffert de la chaleur. Luca parle un français parfait et ses filles (Belges) et sa compagne (Française) sont très gentilles et agréables. La situation du lieu est parfaite pour visiter les lacs d’Orta (perle cachée à ne pas manquer) et Majeur, et seulement à 1h de Milan. Le village d’Invorio est sympathique. Une excellente adresse ! Merci

Endroit magnifique - tranquillité et détente

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cette magnifique propriété du 19ème siècle conservée dans son état originel. Pour qui aime les vieilles pierres et la tranquillité dans un endroit parfaitement arboré. L'accueil de Lucas le propriétaire présent lors de notre séjour a été un vrai plus car Lucas parle français et est très accueillant toujours prêt à conseiller les bonnes adresses et nous renseigner sur les endroits à visiter. Nous serons heureux de revenir à nouveau pour apprécier des vacances ressourçantes grâce à la proximité du lac d'Orta. Merci chaleureusement !

Einfach traumhaft!

Was soll ich sagen - es war rundum wundervoll! Das Haus ist außergewöhnlich schön, der Garten (eher ein Park) ist riesig mit uraltem Baumbestand. Für die Kinder war alles da was das Herz begehrt (von Tischtennisplatte über alle Arten von Bällen bis hin zu Brettspielen). Das Haus ist sauber, wunderschön authentisch eingerichtet und an Charme nicht zu übertreffen. In der Küche gibt es alles was man benötigt. Waschmaschine etc. gibt es auch. Der Kontakt zu Luca bzw. Armando war unkompliziert und sehr sehr freundlich. Wir waren mit einer befreundeten Familie dort und werden sicher wiederkommen.
