Biennale perfect.

Perfect location to visit the Biennale. Clean and quiet with great views over Canal St Pietro. Pictures are accurate, so you will notice there are no comfortable chairs in the living room, but extra beds.

Perfect place to stay. Giampiero and Sonia are great, and their place is beautiful. Lovely peaceful neighbourhood. Hosts couldn’t have been more helpful, collecting us from vaporetto and everything.

Lovely view and neighbourhood.

Gracious hosts were helpful and met us at the water taxi. Very large space with air conditioning. There was a good view of the canal. We appreciated it was in a neighbourhood a bit away from the tourist chaos at San Marco.

Old Venice is fabulous!

Very convenient location close to the water and water taxi stations. Its located in a quiet part of the city which provides much needed reprieve. The apartment is well equipped with a washer dryer and air conditioning which was very much needed in the heat and humidity. The couple hosting us were absolute sweethearts and responded promptly. Would definitely be coming back for a second visit.

The entire stay was absolutely terrific. No major issues short of the bathroom shower, which for seniors is slightly troublesome. The hot water is an “on-demand” system with hot water availability limited. Other than that it was homey and comfortable. Thank you to both Sonia & Giampiero for their courtesy and aid.

I felt like a Venetian!

This is a light and airy large apartment with all the necessary amenities, except soap. Although I was travelling alone, this spacious apartment could easily sleep 6 people. Safety and security was also not an issue. I felt very safe walking around the neighborhood. It was nice to come "home" to a calm and quiet part of the city. Everything you need is within close walking distance on Garibaldi - restaurants, groceries, pharmacy, bank, shops, etc. The water bus is a 5 minute walk away. Staying in this apartment, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, allowed me to feel as if I was a Venetian, not just a visitor. I loved it!

A perfect place to visit the Biennale d'Arte

The apartment is wel located in the quiet quarter Castello. Splendid view on San Pietro, marvelous light with 4 windows above the canal. Small supermarket around the corner, bakery at the corner and the typical real Venetian ristorante Alle Nuova Speranzza at walking distance on Campo Ruga. Situated between Arsenale and Giardini, it's the ideal location to visit the Biennale. Ten minutes walk to Vaporetto stops Arsenale (boat from/to airport) and Giardini makes it also easy to connect with the rest of Venice. Also a few blocks away from the lively Via Garibaldi where you can also have a late drink at Refolo! Friendly and easy welcome. Good communication and reliable financial arrangement.

It was a great stay! The location is very convenient, shops and affordable restaurants nearby. The owners are a very friendly couple that are ready to help where needed. As we came in the hottest summer of the decade, airconditioning would have been great, but unfortunately there are only ceilingfans. The general state of the house is good.

Gemütliche Ferienwohnung abseits des Touristenzentrums mit guter Lage

Die Ferienwohnung entsprach all unseren Anforderugen. Die Vermieter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir waren voranging nur zum Schlafen und Essen in der Wohnung. Es war sauber und die Heizung lässt sich mittels zentraler Steuerung anpassen. Es gibt 2 Supermärkte in der Nähe. Einer befindet sich in einer Parallelstraße, der andere auf dem Weg zum Markusplatz. Der Markusplatz ist einen entspannten 15 bis 20 minütigen Spaziergang entfernt. Die zentralen Nahverkehrslinien 4.1, 4.2 und 1 fahren in der Nähe ab. Wir würden diese Unterkunft wieder nutzen.

The apartment was just ok. We had no hot water for most of our day.

The apartment is sparsely furnished. No hot water for most of our stay, no resolution offered. Only one roll of toilet paper provided, for four adults for two days. No soap, shampoo, paper towels or napkins provided. We stayed in 5 places during this visit to Italy and this was by far the worst place we stayed. The owners were very plesant, but spoke very little English and were unwilling or unable to resolve any issues with the property.

If you're looking for a rental overlooking a canal don't be fooled by the picture.

There is a small canal off to the side that was blocked off where we could not even access it & could only be viewed from 2 of the bedroom small windows. No living room or sitting area other than dining/kitchen area. You cannot get water taxi close. Very nice people.

Quiet neighbourhood, beautiful views

We were very pleased with this apartment. The location is perfect if you want to be away from tourist crowds, as we do, but still in walking distance of the main sites. The apartment opens onto a fairly wide canal, so there are fresh breezes (nice in summer) and lovely views. The rooms look exactly as in the photographs -- everything is very clean. Sonia and Giampiero are gracious and attentive hosts. Giampiero met us at the water bus stop when we arrived to show us the way to the apartment. We enjoyed being in a residential neighbourhood. There are grocery stores nearby and restaurants that locals go to. And if you are attending the Biennale the location is excellent.

Optimal für einen tollen Venedigtrip

Die Wohnung ist optimal gelegen, in einer absolut ruhigen, ansprechenden Gegend, in der man viele nette Platzerl entdecken kann. Die Wohnung ist für mehrere Personen (es sind drei getrennte Schlafzimmer) bestens geeignet. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Es gibt ein gut ausgestattetes kleines Geschäft ums Eck. Die Vaporetto-Station ist ca. 8 min. zu Fuß entfernt. Es gibt einen sehr schönen ruhigen Park gleich dort. Wir waren mit drei Kindern unterschiedlichen Alters und es und es hat allen sehr gefallen. Gerne wieder in dieser Wohnung!

Quartier tranquille

Accueil sympathique. Appartement simple, confort modeste. Beau dégagement sur un canal. Nous avons regretté l'absence de coin séjour, aucun canapé. Le dernier jour, les propriétaires ont refusé que nous entreposions nos bagages chez eux. Fort dommage, car la consigne de la gare nous a fait perdre une bonne heure d'attente.
