Large character cottage of 160 m surface, relaxing, with private garden, fenced and furnished with games for different ages all in a green setting. Located in the province of Namur in Belgium., close to means of transport and Charleroi airport. Close to various shopping centers, the Eau d'Heure dams with all water sports and games for children, museums, abbeys, Dinant with museums, citadel, fly boats. Impossible to describe the range of activities and discoveries, not to mention the delicious local products. You have discount cards at the gîte for your various excursions. The cottage has the label of Wallonia and that of baby tenderness.
The quiet village surrounded by woods is at the center of the Napoleonic markets. At a painter's house.
Examination / visit of places on arrival which must be left after use as a "good father". A deposit of 300 € (in cash) to cover any damage you may have caused during your stay is required before occupying the premises. This deposit, minus the costs incurred (see above), will be returned to you when you leave the premises after a joint visit by them to assess the inventory.
The strict maximum occupancy of the cottage is set at 7 people (adults or children) ... No derogation will be accepted for reasons of local legislation.

Very cosy and interesting house, caring hosts, like visiting relatives

We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful house, full of warm history and everything you need for a family holiday. We stayed here for several days, each day we went to visit different cities (Brussels, Bruges, Leuven, Ostend) and the beautiful resort lake with a dam. It was very pleasant to return to this house in the evening. We hope to visit it and the kind family of the owners again one day.

Tranquil setting within easy distance of many interesting towns, castles and abbeys

The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The gite has everything needed, and is well furnished, with a well-equipped kitchen leading onto a secluded, peaceful garden, which is great for dining outside and catches the sun for much of the day. Lots of children's activities in the garden, swing, slide and sandpit, as well as bikes provided, table tennis table, table football and even an outdoor pool (unheated, so only really suitable for very hot days, unless very brave!) The local area is quiet, with little English spoken, so some French would be very useful. Nearby are many different towns to visit, as well as castles and abbeys, caves and steam trains, eg pretty Dinant and the Chateau de Veves. There is one restaurant in the village, with more in nearby Florennes, as well as quite a few supermarkets to choose from in the surrounding areas. Be aware that quite a few places don't take Visa or Mastercard, so carry cash. Definitely recommended for a peaceful get-away.

Points positifs : Gite spacieux, cuisine bien équipée, literie bonne, jardin bien clos.Propriétaires très à l'écoute, très disponibles. 30 min de Dinant, 35 min de Namur.Points négatifs :Parquet qui grince un peu à l'étage. Pour les jeux enfants, c'était limite pour mes 4 et 6 ans.. Aucun livres enfants contrairement à l'annonce. Certains endroits type grottes de Han ou Châteaux Bouillon et Sedan, sont à 1h de route.Info que je trouve importante :Les draps ne sont pas fournis. Je pense qu'il y a erreur sur l'annonce ou pas mise à jour .Notez que la Propriétaire nous a très gentiment dépannée des draps de ce fait, et même d'un grille pain.

Der Aufenthalt war Supper . Ruhige Lage zum Relexen ,Gastgeber Feundlich , Hifsbereit , Zurückhaltend . Einkaufsmöglichkeiten : Le Mache, Lidel, Aldi alles gut zu Ereichen. Anbindungen an Schnellstrasen sowie Autobahnen in der Näche. Rundrum alles Supper.

L'annonce indique que les draps de bains et draps de lit sont fournis ainsi que gel douche et shampoing. Après vérification, il m'a été demandé de les emmener, sauf les serviettes de bain qui seraient fournies ainsi que les savons. J'aurais dû apporter les miennes. Elles sentent très mauvais. Il n'y a pas d'eau chaude uns fois sur deux dans la douche. Quant à la baignoire, impossible d'enlever le bouchon d'évacuation...Et le tuyau de douche fuit, ce qui éclabousse tout. Il n'y a pas d'indication sur les boutons de la gazinière. On en sait donc pas si on chauffe au maximum ou au minimum. En cas de pluie, il pleut dans les chambres, et l'eau rentre dans la cuisine par la porte vitrée. Au rez-de-chaussée, la chasse d'eau coule sur le sol, qui fut inondé tel un pédiluve en deux utilisations. Nous avons arrêté de l'utiliser. La salle de sport correspond à un vélo électrique sale dans un car-port. Et le baby-foot est tellement encombré qu'il est inaccessible.

Ruhiger und entspannter Urlaub

Die Kommunikation und sowohl Check-in als auch Check-out verliefen reibungslos. Sehr nette Vermieter, die stets ansprechbar waren. Das Haus ist sehr schön und urig eingerichtet. Die alten Möbel verströmen einen besondere Atmosphäre und der Garten lädt zum Entspannen ein. Unsere Tochter (11 Monate) hatte viele Möglichkeiten im Garten zu spielen (Schaukel, Sandkasten, Dreirad/Bobbycar) und die Hunde fühlten sich ebenfalls wohl. Für weitere Aktivitäten muss man immer das Auto bemühen, was uns aber durchaus bewusst war.

Great house

The house is very spacious and nice, everything you need is there. Betty is very nice and helpful with tips. The area is very quit with lots of wood in the area for a nice walk with our dogs. The garden is enclosed which is good. We can definitely recommend staying at this house.

geen fijne ervaring

op de site stond dat er handdoeken en beddengoed aanwezig waren, ik kreeg echter een bericht van de eigenaresse dat i.v.m. covid wij deze zelf mee moesten nemen. Bij aankomst bleek dat we deze wel konden huren. Toen wij vroegen hoe dat zat gaf de eigenaresse aan dat we dit moesten accepteren of vertrekken. Het huis stond vol met meubels die voor een groot gedeelte kapot waren, van de tennistafel, stoelen tot aan het servies. De eerste keer dat ik een slechte ervaring heb met huren via deze site!

Erholsamer Aufenthalt in einem schicken Ferienhaus

Die Buchung und Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin lief reibungslos. Wir sind mit Freunden verreist und waren insgesamt sieben Personen, 4 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder. Der erste Eindruck von dem Ferienhaus war sehr positiv. Wir sind herzlich empfangen worden, haben sogar ein kleines Begrüßungsgeschenk bekommen. Mme Bethy hat uns alle Räume gezeigt und die wichtigsten Dinge erklärt. Wir haben uns in dem Haus direkt wohlgefühlt. Die antiken Möbel fanden wir sehr bewundernswert. Die Schlafzimmer waren mit dem nötigsten ausgestattet, die Ausstattung der Küche war ebenfalls in Ordnung. Wir hatten das Wichtigste parat. Für die Kinder gab es einen großen Pool, den wir leider wetterbedingt nicht nutzen konnten. Die Kids hatten noch andere Spielmöglichkeiten wie Badminton, Tischtennis, allerdings nicht so stabil, Rutsche und Schaukel, ebenfalls in die Jahre gekommen, da muss auf jeden Fall Hand angelegt werden. Fahrräder gab es auch aber leider waren alle Reifen platt und es gab keine passende Pumpe dafür. Aktivitäten in der Umgebung gab es zwar einige, jedoch waren einige wegen Corona nicht umsetzbar. Wir haben viel Spaß miteinander gehabt und das Beste draus gemacht. Wir waren trotz der Umstände viel unterwegs die Umgebung erkunden, wandern, schwimmen und haben einfach die Ruhe genossen. Wir würden das Ferienhaus definitiv weiterempfehlen, da wir im großen und ganzen zufrieden waren.

Heerlijk rustig plekje vanwaar je in de omgeving hele mooie uitjes kunt maken. Huisje is prima voorzien en heeft meerdere zitplekken wat met 6 mensen heel fijn is. Eigenaren zijn behulpzaam en adviseren goed. De mars van Napoleon hebben we door hen gelukkig niet gemist!

een fijn huis zeker ook in wintertijd

Een huis waar je zeker in de winter heerlijk kan verblijven met 6 personen, waar je door de vele zithoeken je even heerlijk kan terugtrekken met een goed boek en anderzijds een fijne keuken en eethoek voor de gezamenlijke momenten. De extra ruimte in de schuur met tafeltennis werd erg gewaardeerd!

Een goed, met alle benodigdheden en veel (oude) spullen gevuld huis, fijne tuin.

Vrijstaand huis. De vriendelijke eigenaars wonen ervoor aan de weg. Een ruim huis, donker en koel (prettig als het buiten erg warm is), maar iets te vol gestouwd met een grote hoeveelheid oude en antieke meubelen, schilderijen en talloze snuisterijen. Dat maakt het minder geschikt voor kinderen, voor wie in de grote tuin van de eigenaar wel een klein rond zwembad staat. Achter het huis zelf is een fijne eigen tuin met veel schaduwplekken. Ernaast een grote schuur met divers speeltuig. De sanitaire voorzieningen zijn voldoende, maar wel toe aan een opknapbeurt. De douchedeur op de eerste etage veroorzaakt telkens een waterballet en die badkamer hebben we dus maar niet verder gebruikt. Een aantal pannen in de overigens prima keuken is dringend aan vervanging toe – vooral die om in te bakken. In de directe omgeving is niet veel te beleven. Men moet minstens een half uur rijden om een zwembad of een interessante stad te vinden. Meer een plek om uit te rusten en veel te lezen dus. Grand gîte indépendant, tout le confort, un jardin idéal pour les enfants en bas âge,beaucoup des jeux disponible pour les enfants mais aussi pour les adultes:des jeux de société a l’intérieure et (ping-pong, baby-foot, balançoire, toboggan,vélos, etc …) à l’extérieur. Accueil chaleureux, les propriétaires sont gentils, à l'écoute, disponible et de bons conseils. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.
