Dear Bill, first of all I apologize for the inconvenients you went trough. overbooking is something we put our effort to avoid but sometime ( lukily quite rarely) it can happen. Our policy is to offer an alternative accommodation equivalent in size, n of room and features. The apartment we gave t you had was in the same building and has identical n of rooms and facility (also same list price). This overbooking policy is the same we are required to take also with other on line tour operators and travel agency we work with , even the most famous one ( by the way, none of them come to verify anithink and none can guarantee there will never be malfunctions ). The toilet ( sink and shower where working fine) has been fixed right after your departure. It took 4 working days. Ther was no way I could do it before your arrival since we found the problem just the evening before. However I apologize again and I hope you had the opportunity to enjoy Cortona and the surrounding hoping you will came again in this area sometime because it's beautiful and deserve a little longer exploration time, like many of my costumer discovered returning again and again during year after year
