Lavender gite Le Cosquer St Connec

The Lavender Gite is at right angle to the farmhouse, and part of a beautifully renovated stone barn with exposed timbers throughout. It has 3 bedrooms over 2 floors and can sleep 5 people.

The ground floor is open plan with a lounge and dining area, with a leather suite and dining table and chairs. The corner kitchen has just been refitted and has a electric cooker and gashob, a fridge and a microwave oven.

Up the oak spiral staircase there are three bedrooms: on the first floor a double-bedded room, a single bedroom and the shower room with wash hand basin and toilet. Up the next set of stairs is a beamed twin bedded bedroom.
This is a great area for cyclists. Mur de Bretagne has hosted a stage end for the tour de france. We have hosted cyclist who have tackled the finish and provided a bed, breakfast and evening meal. Please contact for details.

Potentially such a lovely spot- the gites were clean, but there are some inaccuracies in the description- mainly that each gite comes with a washer/dryer- they do not. When we asked the host we were told that we could use his machine on one day only if we provided our own detergent and only used the short, cold wash setting- he said any other would be too expensive for him to allow us to use. In addition, although there were some utensils and kitchen equipment, we had to scrape around to be able to prepare food for our group of nine. Finally, the bed mattresses were old and very uncomfortable. When our bedding and mattresses were soaked by a heavy storm and leaking windows, the host told us to flip the mattresses but would not offer dry bedding so one group slept with no bedding for one night while the bedding was drying in the games barn. Not the most helpful.

Thanks for your review. However, the descriptions of the gites do not say there is a washing in each gite. You had access to the washing machine and was shown how to use the rapid wash. You left the window open when there was a heavy storm, the window was not leaking. All your bedding was replaced.. I do not understand why you think it is ok to write false statements in your review I would also like to add the moan about the kitchen utensils is also untrue. You had 2 gites both fully equipped and when you asked for a bigger pot to cook pasta for all nine people you were provided with one.

Le logement est sympa et la localisation est agréable. Le propriétaire est gentil et bien présent. Par contre, bcp de poussière et des toiles d’araignées ! De plus, il faut prévoir les essentiels de la cuisine ( sel, sucre, huile… ) et le savon pour le lave-main. La literie est propre et confortable. Rapport qualité prix moyen.
