Away from everything, but that’s the point, right? Well water has strong iron smell so I would suggest bringing water to drink or cook with if you are sensitive. Overall, very pleasant stay (especially for a romantic getaway).
Cannot wait to return! We booked the Settler cabin and it was perfect for what we wanted. Secluded cabin in the woods, quiet, quaint, cozy. Our hot tub pump broke but the very hard working maintenance man Charlie was on it and fixed it, he even came back the next morning to check on its status. You will love it!
The property was breathtaking. We went in the fall and the leaves were *giving*. The hot tub was already warm upon arrival. Full kitchen stocked with salt & pepper lol. My ONLY complaint would be that they did not disclose about the smell after you run the hot water. It smells like sulfur, which smells like rotten eggs. Its not the end of the world, i just would've liked a heads up.
Came to hike the park. Perfect location and setting to enjoy SO many things in the area. And the pet friendly cabin and hot tub were just perfect for our stay. Hope to be back!
This cabin was cozy, clean and comfortable. We appreciated such a nice cabin that was pet friendly. We would have appreciated an earlier check-in tim3 than 4:00 but other than that it was perfect.
The cabin was beautiful and well stocked. The furniture was bery comfortable and the view! Beautiful sunsets! Very close to all the caves and other trails. Best part was our dogs could be on vacation with us
I was so excited to find a nice place to stay with my dogs! however, I was not pleased that the cabin is right up on the road. it was a bit nerve-racking. The cabin was very clean and comfortable.
We loved everything about this place. Charming decor, peaceful and beautiful setting, and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. We will be back to stay at this lovely property. Very close to everything we needed yet remote and quiet enough that we really got to experience the relaxing weekend we were hoping for. I would recommend this place to anyone!
We stayed at the Settler cabin for 2 nights. The cabin is lovely and cozy and well equipped. I do find it insulting to have an envelope to “tip the maids” when we are already charged an expensive “cleaning fee”. We only used one bedroom, and didn’t shower. I think the tip envelope is offensive
The property was a cute, cozy cabin away from neighbors with a great view from the back deck. Just a short drive away from to all the great trails of Hocking Hills and to dining and stores. My family enjoyed our three night stay.
Over all okay. Kitchen table very wobbly, coffee let spilling.
I would not rent this particular cabin again. But I loved the location, view and management. Poor screen doors would not lock. Old and beaten up, bed was extremely squeaky with any movement at all waking up each other. Strange energy around us inside cabin? Dogs travel with us always and was the first time they were not comfortable??? Just very strange? But cabin was clean and ready. Poor grill outside for grilling.
It was an overall good experience, some of the furniture is outdated and the hottub over looks the road, which is deceiving in the photos, but it was a nice getaway and private enough.
We were looking for a quiet cabin in the woods for our 2nd family christmas escape. Dog friendly, yes. Quiet, yes. Even with the road literally right at the front door (the hot tub is on the front porch -- we could splash the cars from the hot tub). I wish there were instructions if the trails behind the cabin were chalet property or private property (we did not go on them) The fireplace was nice. The beds were serviceable...could have had better mattresses. The toilet flushed after much convincing...every single time!!! So minor inconviences, but we did enjoy our stay overall. Close to the local trails and convienient to other area attractions.
