Beautiful cabin so nicely done. Surrounding scenery is amazing! Close enough to Estes Park for convenience but still have that “away from it all” feeling. Highly recommend! Gary and Sally, Kansas City
We had a cold week in Estes Park but this cabin kept us nice and cozy. Great king size bed and the view off the big deck is worth staring at for hours. Best part is being so close town but feeling like we were out in the middle of nowhere!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. The VIEWS, the LOCATION! We both said "this is a do over!" We decided several evenings to do take out just so we could see the sunset. We saw turkeys, rabbits, chipmunks and elk!
The cabin is at least as good as the pictures show. We stayed a few days, drove and hiked the park, toured the Stanley, and had the best vacation I can remember.
I actually didn’t stay there, I booked the cabin for my daughter and son-in-law. But they said it was great!! They saw wildlife nearby, the views were stunning and town was close by. They really enjoyed their stay!!
Counting Stars Cabin was absolutely perfect for us! This sweet little cabin was secluded, yet close to everything. It had everything we needed for a three night stay. Cozy and inviting, the bed was so comfortable, just the right amount of space for two people, lovely deck with a grill and propane fire pit, and so quiet and serene. Whether star-gazing at night, or waking up to see a family of deer eating on the property, we can't say enough about how wonderful this place was to celebrate our milestone. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Fantastic little cabin! It is super close to downtown Estes Park but it feels like you’re very secluded. There were Amazing views of the mountains and we saw elk right out front multiple times. The cabin itself was very well stocked with anything we could have needed. It was also extremely clean! We would definitely stay here again.
We really enjoyed this quiet cabin stay, and were thrilled to find it at the end of a private drive with an amazing view. Close access to Rocky Mountain National Park, where we saw bighorn rams, moose, elk and more! We also visited the MacGregor Ranch (just 5 minutes away) and did the homestead tour there. The cabin was a cozy space to rest, relax, cook some meals and we even did some star gazing on the deck! Worth getting up early to catch the sunrise. Definitely recommend and plan to return.
We have stayed in many rental homes in the Estes Park area over the years. For my wife and I, this was by far the best.
Counting Stars cabin was perfect for two. It was comfortable, clean and complete. But the location was outstanding! Terrific views off the deck to the north and east. Secluded, isolated and quiet--we were a 3 minute drive from the SuperValue/downtown yet the cabin is located such that you wouldn't know there was a town within 10 miles. Only one other small cabin is visible from the property. Wildlife was abundant.
When we travel as a couple only, this will be our preferred place to stay in Estes Park.
We loved this place!
What a great cabin. The cabin has fabulous views and is nicely done inside and out. The neighborhood is super quiet and we didn't have any issues with surrounding properties. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed for our stay. We didn't have any issues during our stay, so we never contacted the property manager, but the phone numbers we posted in a couple of places, just in case. The bed was super comfy and we had plenty of linens. The closet is large and also has a dresser for clothing. All the appliances were in good working order. There is a small window unit in the bedroom, but we didn't need it even in late July. We just used the ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room. I would definitely recommend this cabin for a single or couple. It is close to town for easy access, but far enough away to be out of the hustle of downtown.
Counting Stars was a perfect choice for our Estes Park stay. At the rear of the neighborhood, it was very private with beautiful views of the mountains. We saw several elk, deer and turkey from the deck! The house was very clean and comfortable with a great bed. The proximity to the park entrance, shops and restaurants can’t be beat!
Awesome secluded cabin with easy acess to national park
We stayed here to visit the national park and everythjng was great. Property was easy to find and nice and srcluded with an amazing view. We even had turkey come up to the cabin the first night. At night everything was pitch black and perfect to star-gaze. Will be back.
Can't say enough about D'Rae and Michelle. They are the best hosts and the property was very well kept with impeccable views. I had an issue with my personal vehicle and the hosts accommodated us with an extension of our stay. They are simply the BEST.
Clean and cozy place for the two of us. Great dark sky for watching the stars. Coffee on the deck in the morning watching the deer graze. Easy drive to restaurants and national park. Stanley Hotel for drinks and then catch "The Shining" movie at the theater in Estes. Awesome stay!

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Disappointed with host communication
First and foremost
I contacted host via VRBO asking possible early check in I was informed to text when in town to see if cabin was ready. I contacted host and NEVER received a response. I needed to get WIFI to check on hometown where a major hurricane was coming.
Pros: location is great for absolutely quiet sleep and star watching. Bed is super comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. Cabin was spotless. Couch and recliner are very comfortable.
Cons: bathroom is not in bedroom, must walk through living area to get to bathroom. Front door needs fixing as the deadbolt lock doesn’t work properly because door being uneven. It’s a weird feeling being out there with no deadbolt on. Shower is super small. It listed supplies provided by host included shampoo, there was none. Dishwashing sponge was not new, Ive never had a wet used sponge to use as a guest. I was ok with the previously used body liquid soap. This is my absolute honest opinion and I hope it helps others and host.
Awesome location and views. Very private. We heard elk bugling and coyotes howling.

Why they chose this property
We have always known we wanted to be in Estes Park. It was just a matter of finding the perfect place. We looked for years and years and never found anything. The second we drove up to 811 we fell in love with it and knew it was "The One". We bought this property because it is a secluded little piece of paradise and only one mile from downtown. Most cabins in Estes have neighbors really close, so you don't really have total privacy. If you do have some privacy you are usually a little ways outside of town, but not here! Once you get to the cabin you don't have anyone else around, and have your own spectacular view to enjoy. If there is a big festival going on in town and there's trouble parking then you could actually walk. 811 just had everything we were looking for and so much more in a dream place.
