Fantastic Location! Beach, Restaurants, Surf Shop, All Minutes Away....

You can't beat the location! Apartamentos Veranera is less than two blocks away from beautiful Playa Grande beach, you can hear the ocean from your private patio! We are also walking distance to the local bars, restaurants and shops.

We have 4 compact apartments, 2 two bedroom apartments located on the ground floor and 2 one bedroom apartments on the top floor. 4 people Max in 2 bedroom Apt, 2 people max in 1 bedroom Apt. All rental over a month pay electricity.
Each apartment has its own kitchen, bathroom and private porch.
Each bedroom has queen size bed, build in closet, A/C, ceiling fan and security safe. The apartment has its own electric water heater, telephone and there is wireless internet. Kitchen has fridge with freezer, electric 4 burner stove with oven, coffee maker, blender and all you need for cooking.

There is off street parking and a once a week maid service available for our guests. We have also recently installed security cameras on the property and monitored alarm systems in each apartment for our guests added security and safety.
So come enjoy the beauty of Playa Grande, home of the Las Baulas National Park, where you can enjoy your days on the beach sunbathing, swimming, surfing or experience the beauty of the giant leatherback turtles on one of the night tours that takes place on the beach right in front of the apartment building.
Or book one of our daily trips to close by volcanoes - Arenal or Rincon de la Vieja, where you can go for hike, canopy tour, enjoy hot springs or visit hummingbird garden.

Playa Grande is 1 hour away from Liberia International airport and 20 minutes away from Tamarindo airport.

Great location and comfortable apartment

Our family spent a week in the 2 bedroom apartment and loved it. Comfortable beds,hot water with good pressure and so easy to get everywhere. We had a car, but you dont need one if you are staying put in Playa Grande.A great home base.

Apartamento veranero

Great apartment for two people. Location to the beach and a couple restaurants is good A car is needed to enjoy the area. Not great for swimming in the ocean but the surfers like it.

Perfect location

The apartment is in a convenient location close to restaurants, local market and a short walk to an amazing beach. We enjoyed every morning on the balcony watching and listening to the day begin in Playa Grande. The property manager, Victor, made sure we were settled in and made himself available for anything we might need. Enjoyed our stay.

Simple accommodation close to the beach

Exactly as billed. The apartment is in a perfect location just steps from a 5 km long beach. Excellent food in nearby restaurants within walking distance. Excellent communication with property manager who was there to meet us as arranged. Apartment is simple but has all the necessities. Great value.

Location is great (75m walk to the beach). The apartment is a bit tight in space, so four people is more than enough. But the terrace and garden in front make it perfect for sitting outside with your breakfast or wine. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. No pool if you have kids...

Great location if you are there for the beach. Overall we had a great time. One glitch - upon arrival we couldn't get in. It turned out the manager's contacts were in an email sent 2 months prior when we made the booking and somehow missed, assuming incorrectly that as with all our many other VRBOs the keys would simply be in the apt. VRBO sent us an email just before we left titled "Here are the keys to your ...trip" which included Arrival Information saying the property manager would check us in (no contact info), and as we had given the host our arrival time we thought we were good to go. Apparently the manager called our phone but we did not have int'l calling on, as we intended to just use the internet. So, it was nobody's fault. Once past that hurdle, we enjoyed our stay very much.

alles Lüge, ein dreck Stall, fürchterliches Haus, drecckige Dusche voller Kalk, dreckkiges Waschbecken genauso die Spühle und der Geschirrablage, halb vergammeltes Besteck ein einziger Teelöffel, es hat an Besteck und Geschirr gefehlt kaputter Kühlschrank,-lief Tag und Nacht-Lebensmittel sind darin erfroren da man diesen nicht eistellen konnte ,Ablagen kaputt-Glasablage im Kühlschrank fehlte nur zwei Teller, kein Zahnputzbecher, keine Gläser zum trinken, verrostetes Terrassengeländer-welches als Wäscheleine dienen sollte- auf unsere Frage gibt es keine Wäschelein-Antwort gehe in Supermarkt kauf dir eine und täglich massenhaft Hundertfüßler (kleine raupenartige Würmer, mieserabeles Bett, kein Schrank und eine dreckige Antwort darauf es ist eben so in Costa Rica Landestypisch. nie mehr Costa Rica. Das Auto geknackt und alle Elektrogeräte geraubt. Anzeige bei Kripo in Nicoja gemacht. So einen Mistladen haben wir noch nie gesehen. Die Sicht zum Strand-ein Witz -kein Strand in Sicht, dafür abnormale staubiger Weg vor dem Grundstück, daß Auto mußten wir freifegen wie im Winter bei uns den Schnee.

Comfortable stay

Apartment was clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable and kitchen was furnished with appliances and cookware. The apartment is small but worked out well for us (party of 2). The location is great with short walk to the beach and restaurants. Would stay here again.

Steps from the best beach in Costa Rica

We love Playa Grande and are planning to move here permanently. The Apartments Veranera are very clean, comfortable and convenient to all things Playa Grande, especially the spectacular beach, 600 feet. Steve and Victor are very professional, friendly and helpful in making sure your visit is as enjoyable as possible. We will definitely be staying there every time we are in Playa Grande.

No pool, out of the way.

Time of year so we felt we overpaid but this was what was available. We are not surfers so we did not appreciate it as surfers would. You need a car if you stay here.

needs some attention to detail and to their paying customers

The unit (2 bdrm) is VERY MUCH SMALLER than the photos show. Be prepared! If sharing this unit be sure to grab the 'quiet' bed. One makes so much noise (wood creaking) it will scare the other room mates. Security is great to have in Costa Rica, we had 3 different keys for each time we left or came back to the unit. But we had to ask for another set because we would have had to leave and come back at the same time in order to get back onto the property. Other guests while there felt the same way. More sets of keys are a definite need. Our unit had an overflow pipe for hot water under our sink that we were not made aware of. The pail overflowed several times which flooded the cupboard and the kitchen floor. Not a chore we were happy to deal with the whole 26 nites. We were told it would get looked after but that did not happen. The unit smelled when the doors were closed up for the day. The laundry had a terrible smell, towels and bedding. The smell that comes from leaving laundry in the machine overnite and longer. We had the same comment from others staying there. We and others were not advised what to do with our garbage, a few people upon leaving from their stay would leave their garbage outside the door and in the morning the remaining tenants would wake up to garbage thrown all over the area from animals in the nite. Sometimes it would get cleaned up, but that depended on whether someone was working that day. The groundskeeper, when there, was very helpful and friendly. If you have no phone plan while visiting be sure you get an email address of the owner for correspondence. We were told to use the phone in the unit but there are no phones! The location is great. The patio is a welcome space after the small area inside the unit. The price is what you have to pay for staying in quiet Playa Grande where the people are friendly, the beach is forever and never crowded. Our return trip next year will need further investigation. We would not return to this unit.

Great location!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days in a one bedroom unit upstairs on our first time visiting Playa Grande. The apartments are modern and nice. The property is very lush and green. The beach is literally down the street. Restaurants are within walking distance. There are no pantry items in this apartment for cooking or coffee. There's a little (I mean little) stand you can get some grocery items; like coffee and bananas. the nearest market is miles away and we did not have a rental car. I recommend getting groceries on the way to Playa Grande. We didn't have wifi as advertised which resulted in us buying international data on our phones. The apartment building ran out of water on the last day we were there which affected other residents. The apartment only has minimal supplies...4 towels, 2 pillows, 2 small bars of soap. No extras and no blankets, just a set of sheets on the bed. Also, there really is no sofa to sit on. There is a bench with a cushion in the living area which made it hard to relax and watch tv after a long day at the beach.

Wonderful!

My husband and I stayed a month at Apartmento Veranara and really enjoyed ourselves. After a bit of moving around the first week we settled in to enjoy ourselves. The condo was clean and organized and just perfect for the two of us. We were close enough to the beach to hear the waves at night and to walk to during the day. Sunsets from the beach were spectacular!! Maryannali was the perfect hostess and provided us with excellent information and hints and tips about the culture and areas of Costa Rica. She was quick to respond to any enquiries or problems. The maintenance man, Randy was very helpful and very efficient with clearing drains, fixing phones and water problems. A really great character and always had a minute to talk. We were close to bike rentals at You Are Costa Rica, we also got to know the owners, Marianna and Marcos, a really wonderful couple, they also did tours and surf lessons;, restaurants, even a small mini-mart for basic food staples were nearby. Wilmart was a short bike ride away, 2.5 kms, but a long walk in the heat. Playa Grande is very quiet and restful, the beaches are not crowded and you can walk for many miles just following one beach after another. The only drawback was the fact that the air conditioner was in the bedroom and did not cool the kitchen/living room for the evenings. I would perhaps suggest to Steven the owner that a/c in the main area would have been great! Other than that, we would definitely go back! A very memorable first trip to Costa Rica!!
