Please note that hurricane Ian has destroyed our pool cage and a patio overhang roof.

This beautiful 1600 Sq. Ft single family home is located on Lake Shamrock, in the quiet neighborhood of Venice Gardens, only 8-10 minutes drive to beaches, just 10 miles south of Sarasota, and two hours from Disney World in Orlando.

Tranquil, inviting home for a holiday stay.

We stayed at this home for two months in the Fall of 2016. We were impressed as soon as we arrived. The home is situated at the end of a cul de sac in a quiet neighborhood and just a short drive to restaurants, stores & beaches. It is furnished with everything a family will need for a longer stay. The neighborhood is pleasant. The outdoor pool on a tranquil inlet creates a great holiday atmosphere. The home was immaculate and well stocked when we arrived. We were also very impressed with the management company and owner who followed up with us periodically throughout our stay to make sure that everything was satisfactory. This is our first experience with VRBO and we will definitely consider it again for future holidays. The home is exactly as pictured in the photos. The friendly aquatic birds roam the lake throughout the day giving the environment a nature preserve vibe.

Perfect.

This was the perfect place for us staying close by while visiting family. Very clean and quiet, yet very close to shopping and amenities. House had everything we needed and more. Would definitely stay again.

Ideal Property

We stayed for 2 weeks in this property. Jan the owner was very helpful and responded very promptly to communications from the start of the booking process right through until we left. The house has everything you could require, there was nothing that we needed that wasn't available, a very well stocked property. Sitting at the pool with the lovely view of the lake is amazing. Lots of nice places to eat and drink all within 5 minutes of the house, and the location is very quiet and in a safe neighbourhood. We had a fantastic break here.

Lovely vacation spot

The house presented exactly as the on line photos. Everything was well maintained and very clean and inviting. From the moment we arrived we totally relaxed just looking out to the lake and watching the passing birds and ducks. The pool was warm and inviting and we spent hours swimming. The sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make our meals and we enjoyed the grill. In fact, there was a Julia Child's cookbook and we even followed a few of her recipes. So much more fun cooking when you have time and can enjoy being in the kitchen. This home was in a very quiet neighborhood and only a quick ride to US 41. Jan kept us informed that the washing machine was under repair but we were still able to do our laundry. There were lots of assorted beach chairs and we headed to the Drum Circle up on Nokomis Beach one night. I highly recommend Jan's home. We hope to come again soon and would be very comfortable coming back to this home.
