About this property

Superbly Appointed 2nd floor Apartment in the Heart of the Carre D'Or

This superbly renovated 2nd floor apartment is equipped and furnished to an extremely high standard in a contemporary style with high ceilings. All appliances are new.
The apartment has two bedrooms, the master is a large room with a king size bed, en suite bathroom which has a large walk in shower newly installed in 2022 with a rainhead shower and wc. The second bedroom is a twin, with a built in wardrobe, and en suite bathroom with a large shower and wc. The apartment has air conditioning throughout and all windows are double glazed.
We have installed an open plan kitchen/dining area with a dining table that can seat 6. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who want to cook, and there is a fridge/freezer, induction hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There is also an iron and ironing board.
There is a balcony to the front of the apartment which has a table and two chairs, perfect for croissant in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening whilst taking in the view of the sea.
The comfortable living area has a TV, DVD player, Bose IPod dock system, Amazon Fire tv stick and Wi-Fi. This part of Nice has 4G, and we are hoping for fibre optic broadband to be installed into the building shortly.
The apartment is perfectly located in the heart of the Carre D'Or, which has most of the designer shopping in a pedestrian zone, plus a huge number of cafes, bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
It is just a few minutes of a walk to the Promenade des Anglais and the beach. The old town and the central railway station are very close and within easy walking distance.
Beach mats are provided but you may wish to bring your own beach towels and inflatables.
This apartment is perfect for a family, and a baby monitor, high chair and travel cot are available, but you would be required to bring bed linen for the cot. An apartment for 4 persons with both bedrooms being en suite is a rare gem, but this makes it absolutely perfect for two couples as well as for a family.

Fabulous apartment in the Carre D’or

We enjoyed our week in this lovely apartment which is in walking distance of the sea front and all local transport. Everything you need is close by but the apartment is very well equipped if you want to cook. Communication with the owners and Nona was easy with all questions answered. We would love to stay again.

Lovely stay in Nice

We had a lovely stay in this apartment. Communication with the owners and apartment manager Nona was excellent. It is as described and presented in photos and close to the beach and all attractions of Nice. We hope to return in the future .

Fantastic apartment in great locations

The property was light and airy with every convenience you could possibly need. The location was great for the tram and the railway station and lots of good places to eat and drink. If going to go to Nice again would certainly book again.

Nice apartment with good location

Really nice apartment which worked perfectly for a family of four. Location wise really good with a 5 minute walk to the beach and 15-20 minute walk to to the old town. Hosts really easy to get a hold of and gave good tips on things to do.

The apartment was great! It was clean and well stocked. Many restaurants nearby and the beautiful Mediterranean Sea was only a few blocks away (you could see it from the cute Juliet balcony in the living room).

Perfect apartment for family of four

This apartment suited our family to a tee - with two teenagers requiring separate beds and their own bathroom. It is well located with the Promenade/beach and supermarket very close by and old town, shopping precinct, fresh food market and train station all within 15-20 minute walking distance. Great communication with property manager who resolved a couple of minor issues very promptly and check in was a breeze.

Great apartment in Nice

We are a family traveling from Canada. We have been to many accommodations while traveling in Europe. This accommodation is located in a perfect spot, close to a market, good restaurants, beach and plenty of boutiques. The accommodation was clean, they provided us with everything we needed and the communication with the host was easy. Nona was a good host and great at welcoming us. We highly recommend this place.

Great location and well appointed

We were very happy with our stay here! Communication with the host was excellent throughout the process and check in was easy. The apartment is freshly remodeled and very well appointed. It’s an easy walk to local grocery stores (Carrefour and Fran Prix), a pharmacy, restaurants, a very good boulangerie (Les Petits Pains de Mediterranee) and Fromagerie (Nerys), not mention in sight of the beach! We had been in France for weeks staying in hotels, and it was so nice to be in an apartment with a kitchen! Could finally cook using all the fresh ingredients from the markets! Highly recommend!!

Phenomenal Place!!

We can’t rave about this location enough. The location is about 3 blocks from the water. Restaurants are everywhere, we highly recommend the Italian pizza on the corner - it is insane! Nona was great, giving us several suggestions. She was so kind and helpful. The place was spacious and clean. The balcony made the place epic. We will definitely be back. Thank you for letting us stay in your gorgeous place.

Overall great.

My wife and I spent four nights with my sister joining for two. Having two bathrooms was the main reason for choosing this spot. I found bakeries nearby easily and the walk to dining, beach, and transportation was super easy. My only suggestion for future renters is bring nighttime eye masks if you like a dark room for sleep as there are bright street lights on both sides of the apartment and the curtains are mostly decorative. For a place in the city it was surprisingly and mostly quiet with only an issue with dance music filtering in one night from an adjacent apartment. My wife and I agreed we would rent again if we returned to Nice.

Be a temporary local!

We really enjoyed this apartment. Having both bedrooms with en suite bathrooms is extremely convenient. The location is a short 10-minute walk to the train station. There is a tram line and a bus line that gets us to the other side of town if we want to take buses to Villefranche-sur-mer, Eze Village, Monaco or Menton. Overall a very good home base to explore the entire French Riviera. We received email instructions one week before our check in date. The property manager Nona met us at the apartment and provided detailed instructions and answered all our questions. Gave great recommendations on restaurants. The chilled bottle of wine in the refrigerator was a very nice touch! The only thing is that it rained a couple of times during our stay and we were not able to enjoy the balcony! But the air conditioning worked great on those days that were sunny and hot. Overall we had a great experience and will consider staying in the same apartment again if we come back to Nice.

Der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Die Ausstattung war super auch bereits an vorhandenen Gewürzen o.ä. zum Kochen.Die Lage ist topp- Nähe zum Strand und den Supermärkten und ebenso zum Bahnhof. Die Wohnung ist auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen!

We are a Scottish family who have travelled a lot, but always had a love of France and particularly Nice.
So when the opportunity arose to have our own place in the Carre D'Or, and be able to renovate it to a high standard it was ideal. We hope those who stay in our apartment can share in the beautiful experiences that Nice has to offer.

Why they chose this property

Our apartment, in the heart of the Carre D'Or, is in a perfect location, whether for arriving, departing and everything in between. From the airport the nearest tram station to our apartment is Alsace Lorraine and the central railway station is only a few minutes walk. This gives you access to the Cote D'Azur hassle free and cheaply. If coming by car, parking is not too difficult as there are many parking spaces, underground car parks and our apartment has a quiet street behind it where it is often possible to park.
The apartment has been completely renovated and fully equipped and furnished to an extremely high standard in a contemporary style with high ceilings throughout. We have installed new super quiet air conditioning and there is double glazing in all rooms. The balcony is especially nice for morning coffee and croissants, and you are able to see the sea.
The apartment is perfect for a young family, as there is a high chair, baby monitor and travel cot available, and the layout is suitable for different sleeping times. The fact that the apartment has two bathrooms is great too, with a large walk in rainhead shower in the master which has been upgraded in 2022 and a large rainhead shower in the twin bathroom it gives people super facilities. The master bedroom has a king size bed, with the twin having two standard singles that can be pushed together if required.

What makes this property unique

We have renovated this apartment to a very high standard and everything is new, hopefully giving trouble free living in the most exclusive part of the city of Nice, the Carre D'Or!
