NO HURRICANE DAMAGE at this Sweet Island Retreat! All of the tranquility and luxury you desire will be found here. All new, inside and out! Sugar Reef is a duplex so it both units may be rented for a larger group. See Listing # 684977 for SUGAR REEF "A". Each unit can accommodate 4 guests. With vaulted ceilings and an open floor plan the unit has an open, beachy vibe.

You will enjoy the convenience of walking just two short blocks for direct access to the Gulf Of Mexico! You will also have quick access to the bay, waterfront park, kayak launch and children's playground.

Sugar Reef is located centrally on Anna Maria Island, between Manatee Avenue and Cortez Road for easy access on and off the island. You can easily hop on the FREE trolley to ride the full length of the island. A short 20 minutes drive by car to St. Armands Circle. Located within walking distance to historical Bridge Street and many restaurants and shops.

Great beach location!

3-minutes' walk to a beautiful beach. Multiple restaurants and bars within about a mile. Unit had every amenity we needed, including a stocked kitchen, beach towels and chairs, screened porches, and A/C. Would rent again!

Sweet little gem

It was perfect for my girls and my fiancé! He proposed on Holmes Beach (the short one block walk to the beach) during the AMAZING sunset the second night. The girls and I have a tradition of going to the "same beach every night for the sunset" and this duplex was absolutely perfect.Screened in porch was a win by all of us and it was the perfect location for our first family vacation. The duplex neighbors were so friendly and inviting as well, spoke highly of the owner. Very happy and I hope to book again next year!

Perfect spot on the island

We could not have picked a more perfect place for our first time on AMI. Just a short walk to beach or bay. Place was super clean and well supplied. Definitely one of the best Vrbo rentals we have ever stayed in. Being 12 hours away dont know if we will ever make it back that way but if we are fortunate to get to come back to AMI we would definitely rent here again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great location, nice place

The condo is in a great location and well furnished. The kitchen is nice and the living room was comfortable. We appreciated the laundry in the unit. The only drawback for us was the screen porch only being accessible by going outside of the unit, and pretty dark being underneath.

A good, clean place near the beach.

We enjoyed our stay. It's a clean, convenient place and an easy walk to the beach. One night, a chirping smoke detector kept us awake. The manager responded well by sending someone over the next day to fix it and the owner agreed to our requested partial refund as a courtesy.

Great Location!

We were so happy we stayed here because it was so close to the beach without being on the main street, which made it quieter. Sugar Reef is a great home base on the Island. It is quick to get anywhere you want to go. It was clean and had everything you need. The internet didn’t work well our first couple of days but Laura was quick to respond and installed an updated system which worked very well. We would stay here again!

Relaxing at Bradenton Beach

House was exactly as shown . Block and a half to the beach. Plenty of beach chairs in storage shed. Weather could have been better. Temperatures during day were anywhere from 58 degrees to 70 degrees. Weather at home in Delaware was in the teens so we were content. We only had one issue and that was with the television losing signal. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything as advertised and then some. Nice kitchen and amenities (there were coffee filters there which was very nice); we did not make dinner but plenty of utensils to do so. Beds were very comfortable, and we loved the outside covered porch below the unit. In terms of the beach, it's a super easy walk! The beach amenities were awesome as well. If with kids, there is a small park with a basketball court a block away. Communication was solid throughout though there was absolutely nothing wrong with this place so we never really needed to reach out. This place is more than a hidden gem - we are already looking at the next time we can get down there!!

Great little place close to beach and bay

Perfect location for our girls trip celebrating our moms turning 70! Very short walk to the beach, the bay, and the trolley stop. Circle k is around the corner for a quick convience store and the publix grocery is a mile away. We loved hanging out on Bridge Street, live music everywhere, and the beautiful sandy beaches. The island offers many options for free or donation based transportation including the trolley, the monkey bus, and golf cart taxis. Uber is a bit sketchy so give yourself plenty of time if you plan to use as most of the drivers live off of the island. Our driver was 20 minutes late for our ride to the airport but luckily we made the flight. The place was comfortable, affordable, clean, and was in a great location. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and a wagon were provided so all you need is your clothes a swim suit and some sunscreen. We will definitely be back!

Great location!!

We enjoyed our stay, the location was amazing and it was nice to have all the beach stuff available to use! The only thing I will say is, the bathtub drain was clogged when we got there and the water pressure is actually insane; it’s so strong that it’s hard not to get water everywhere and it kind of hurts. I know some people might enjoy this and usually I do too but this was a bit much. Also the light situation in the bedrooms was very weird, the remotes controlled both rooms so when you turned on the lights in one they also turned on in the other and they would randomly turn on in the middle of the night. This could also just be user error! But overall it was good for the couple of days that we used it and I feel like it would be good for families!

Perfect Girls Weekend

We rented both sides of Sugar Reef for a long girl’s weekend. The location is great, just a block away from the beach and 2 blocks from the bay. There is also a nice park close by on the bay side. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We have never stayed on the south end of the Island but we loved it. It's very close to Publix, Walgreens and other shopping. We only have two small critiques; 1- there was no iron or ironing board. I know we're supposed to be on island time but sometimes we just need to iron our clothes. :) 2- The water pressure in the shower is intense. There is a very nice rain shower head but it’s like showering under Niagara Falls and it stings a little. These were minor issues and in the grand scheme of things did not have an impact our vacation at all. We would definitely stay at Sugar Reef again.

The place needed a few things fixed which should have been working before guests arrived.1) The toilet needed to be fixed , as you had to hold the flusher down for about 20 seconds until it completely flushes. If you didn't, the toilet wouldn't flush at all.2) The light and ceiling fan didn't work at all in the bedroom with the twin beds. There was only a small lamp in this room that was poorly lit.The ceiling fan in the master bedroom needed to be fixed also as this too did not work.If these items I mentioned was working, the stay would have been more comfortable. Hopefully when I voiced my concerns about these non-working items , they got them fixed before the next guest arrived.With that said, all the other things were good at this Vrbo home. The beach was excellent and was only a quick 3 minutes walk.
