If you want to stay somewhere great then this apartment is it. Smack bang in the middle of everything on the mile. Immaculate and spotlessly clean. The beds were comfy, kitchen decked out and a washing machine which was a bonus for us. Spacious rooms too which we found really good for our baggage etc. Cat is really easy to deal with also.
The flat was perfect. Clean, welcoming and an amazing location. Cat was very responsive to any questions. Edinburgh is a beautiful city and we had wonderful stay!
Wow! We had a wonderful stay at this charming apartment:) it overlooks the royal mile and it was so fun watching the action from the living room when we got back from exploring. It’s super easy to walk to dinner, shopping, tours and the castle
We loved our stay here and it was perfect for us as 3 adults. It was very central and easy to walk almost anywhere from this location and we loved sitting in the flat overlooking all the activity on the Royal Mile below. The host was very responsive to questions. As others have said, there is a 2 story spiral staircase but once your luggage is in the flat, it was easy. However, we wouldn't recommend it to anyone where stairs are a challenge.
Wonderful, extremely clean flat in perfect location. Beds were very comfortable. Stairs are challenging for carrying luggage but once luggage is up, is a total nonissue. At times was a bit loud at night being on the Royal Mile but was absolutely worth the location and price. Would definitely stay here again.
Place was wonderful for anyone looking to explore Edinburgh. The living room was nice for a game or two with our group after long days of sightseeing. Kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable but the location right on the Royal Mile can't be beat. Would stay again!
This apartment was so cute! Great Location! and very comfortable! I was visiting with my two adult children, and we enjoyed this very much! Just plan to walk about spiral staircase with your luggage, which was fine! But if don't have the strength to carry, you will for sure need help! We would definitely return! Host was very responsive as well!
This location was so central and convenient and the apartment had a great view of all the excitement of High Street. Very responsive property manager. Would highly recommend!
We had a great time in Edinburgh! The flat was absolutely lovely and conveniently located in the heart of the Royal Mile. So much to see and do...castles, museums, Christmas Market, shopping, tours, and dining....all around us! We will be back! Thank you for your sweet hospitality.
This apartment was in the most central location in Edinburgh that you could hope for....right overlooking the Royal Mile. We stayed the weekend for our daughter's wedding and we only had to walk across the street to the City Chambers - absolutely perfect. The beds were comfortable and the showers good, plenty of space for all of us and very private.

Thank you for your review. I hope you had a wonderful time at the wedding. Glad you enjoyed our apartment. We hope to welcome you back.
Great stay.. was a little warm in the apartment not all the heaters would turn down and the central thermometer didn't work but overall had a great stay. Lots of loud people out late at night but that's what you get when staying right on the like I think. Overall great stay.
Terrific location, very nice and large apartment. As long as you don’t mind stairs, it is an ideal spot in the center of Edinburgh. Host was very responsive and communicative.
We spent 3 days here in October. It is a great apartment in an amazing location, with everything within easy walking distance.
The only thing to be aware of is that as the property is right on the Royal Mile there is some street noise from early morning to late at night, so if you are a light sleeper make sure you pack earplugs.
We fully enjoyed our father-daughter trip at this location. Lots of private and community space to laugh, play cards and enjoy the sights & sounds of Old Town. Our dads who are both in their late 70s were able to navigate the 55 steps of the circular staircase! Thank you Cat!!

About the host
Hosted by Cat Macdonald
Cat and David live close to Edinburgh and own Wedderburn Castle and Barns, a wedding and events venue in the Scottish Borders, and a collection of holiday rentals in the south of Scotland. David bought the Royal Mile flat when he lived in Edinburgh and knows what a great place it is to stay! Before marrying David, Cat was a journalist who travelled extensively as part of her job – often staying in inspiring places. They now hope to offer the best of Edinburgh to guests at the Royal Mile apartment.
Why they chose this property
Everything you need to enjoy a relaxed stay in the heart of the beautiful and historic city of Edinburgh. The Royal Mile is Edinburgh's most historic street and the only place to stay to soak up the atmosphere of the city.
Despite being a historic property the rooms are bright and spacious. The flat has been renovated in a way that his sympathetic to its past but also feels fresh and contemporary.
What makes this property unique
There are few flats in Edinburgh that are more central. The views down onto the street below are enhanced by street performers during summertime so you can have your very own personal cabaret just out the window.
