Gilmour Lake is a low key setting offering a lot of sport activities and relaxation. Outdoors, just to name a few things to do on the grounds, are tennis, badminton, pickleball,basketball, hot tub, three hammocks, horseshoes, campfire, swimming, diving, kayaking, paddle boat, row boat, canoe, or paddle board. Indoors you can choose from ping pong, billiard, darts, 70"satellite TV, karaoke, boardgames, sauna, or read a good book. There are 2+1 bedrooms. Master bedroom can sleep four, the family room can be private and has a pull-out queen bed. The lower level also has a queen pull-out. The kitchen is fully equipped, excellent potable water including an ice machine, wine fridge and two BBQs outside. A second fridge is on the lower level. Wifi can be used down on the dock, beside the tennis court, in the hammocks, beside the fire place or not at all.

Beautiful lakeside sport retreat

We had a blissful time with friends and family enjoying many sports on property (tennis pickleball etc) and lovely cottage with ample space for gatherings. Well be back !

Awesome Retreat

Rex & Shelley hospitality was beyond amazing! The house was gorgeous and was set up very nicely with guests in mind! We enjoyed playing Tennis and swimming in the Lake. We highly recommend this VRBO house!!

Better than expected

This place is stunning. A real treat to stay in. I appreciated the attention to detail and the amount of activities to participate in without leaving the property. We stayed here with four adults and two kids between 5 and 7. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great place for outdoor and indoor activities…or just relax!

The drive to the cottage created a sense of getting award. Once there, this spectacular cottage was amazing with all its offerings and facilities. The host was very informative - easy to deal with and helpful.

Fantastic Spot

This cottage is truly a dream come true! It has everything you could possibly ever need to have a good time. The lake is stunning and we had so much fun playing lots of sports + lawn games. HIGHLY recommend.

Unique Rental with Excellent Amenities

From check-in to check-out, the pride in ownership and attention to detail really stood out. Between tennis, basketball, paddle sports and relaxing in the hot tub or sanua, our young family had a memorable experience. We would certainly love to return to this rental.

Beautiful little piece of heaven!

This is a gorgeous cottage! Thanks to the hosts who have thought of absolutely everything! Tons of activities to enjoy. Peaceful quiet gorgeous lake. Perfect for active, fun, relaxing vacation! Luxury in the Wilderness!

The home has every amenity. Host was excellent communicator and very helpful. Nice grocery at the end of the road. All possible sports equipment provided. We would love to return and stay again. Peaceful, beautiful water view.

Excellent location and facilities

We stayed for about 10 days, and the house was a great base for exploring the whole Ottawa area. Driving into the city is very straightforward. And for those days where you want to chill out, the house has numerous activities to keep you amused. We enjoyed pool, tennis and table tennis. The wildlife is also fabulous. Lots of birds, numerous chipmunks and squirrels, and even a small furry groundhog! Rex was a friendly and welcoming host.

Such a beautiful setting and so peaceful. Incredibly well equipped. Our family spent one of the nicest Christmases here. A winter wonderland. Rex was great to work with and very responsive. Can't recommend enough. We will be back!

Perfect winter getaway

Our group of six friends loved our weekend at Rex and Shelley's cottage. It's both spacious and cozy and we made great use of the hot tub, sauna, and fire place. The kitchen is a cook's dream and very well equipped. We loved the thoughtful touches like the hooks on the tree near the hot tub, and the variety of games and activities that would appeal to people of all ages. We're already talking about our next visit, and can't thank Rex and Shelley enough for sharing their wonderful space!

Bachelorette Celebration

Spotless and fabulous

Fantastic property and the cleanest place any of us (five friends) have ever stayed. Turned out it was the coldest weekend in 27 years, so we loved the fireplace, the sauna and even the hot tub. Very cosy for a large place. Comfy beds. Host made sure the laneway, ample parking and walkways were cleared before we arrived. Although I am sure this property is stunning in the summer, it was a great winter getaway -and less than an hour from Ottawa. We had a great time. Thanks, Rex and Shelley, for sharing your wonderful space :)

New year with a lakeview

It was a great little spot!!! The host was welcoming and accommodating. The location was close enough to super markets and SAQ that even new years eve festivities went off without a hitch. My friends and I would be intrigued to experience this location in the summer sun.
