Simple Pleasures boasts beautiful water frontage in the heart of Mount Desert Island. Breathtaking views of Somes Sound and surrounding mountains of Acadia National Park. Watch local lobsterman, sailboats, and wild life go by while you enjoy a blissful getaway at this rustic Maine private cottage, complete with dock and plenty of outdoor space. Simple Pleasures has 2 bedrooms, and 1 bath. Both bedrooms have Queen size beds and views of the Sound. The cottage has a full kitchen, gas grill and a cozy fireplace and outdoor fire pit. This property is a Saturday thru Saturday rental period

Great Location

This cabin checked everything off our wish list, close to all our favorite spots on MDI. Easy access to trails, restaurants and small seaside towns. The private pier provided hours of fun fishing with plenty of marine activity to watch on the sound.

We loved the cabin, and especially since it was isolated and on the water. Would have liked a ladder on the dock to make swimming easier. But that is small compared with the sense of being alone in Maine. We will be back.

Perfect place for solitude !

My three daughters, dog and I stayed over the 4th of July. Was just the place we needed - had everything to make us comfortable. Nice and quiet. Didn’t hear any fireworks ! So close to the park so we could go in and out throughout the day. We loved watching the tide go in and out each day and even saw a jellyfish from the pier! Hosts super responsive when we had a small issue. Book today !!

Relaxing & Beautiful, The name on the Cottage "Simple Pleasures" reflects everything about this Vacation spot we would like to call our second home. Michael the Host was so easy to deal with and a very nice person it made our first stay here on the Sound that much better. We both Recommend this Cottage "Simple Pleasures" to everyone !!!
