Sunplace is located within Indian Shores, a charming, laid back, family-friendly community located on a pristine beach. Walk to one of the nearby restaurants, rent beach cruisers to go exploring, hop on the trolly to one of the neighboring beach towns, or take a short ride into St. Pete and go shopping on Beach Drive. We are centrally located between St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Tampa. Universal, Disney World, Epcot, Hard Rock Casino, and Bush Gardens are just a short drive away.

The rental includes everything you need for a great vacation, including towels, linens, beach gear…even sand toys for the kids. Come relax, reflect, and recharge! We will take care of the rest.

Breathtaking views!

This place is worth it for the balcony views alone! Perfect location with 2 parking spots is a rare find. Spacious interior that is well stocked with all you need. The beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys in the storage closet were a nice bonus! The owners were incredibly helpful and communicative. Would highly recommend!The only thing to note is that the 3rd bedroom loft is not fully closed off, it has blinds over the opening for privacy but not a solid wall. Not a big deal but we did not realize in the pictures (description does say loft though).

Perfect Beachside House

Amazing location right on the sand. The balconies are fantastic, it feels like you’re right on the beach even when sat on the property. The view morning and night is remarkable. Very much recommended.

A perfect view, easy walk out to a pristine and quiet beach, a beach cottage feel with great upgrades, and very close to other fun activities (great restaurants and coolest putt-putt ever). Can't wait to come back again soon!!

Really enjoyed this property. Nice upgrades in older building. Having sunset right outside on our balcony every night was heaven. Used the hot tub a few times too! Owners responsive via text. Gave good recommendations for restaurants. Salk Rock Grill & Guppy’s were our favorites!

Amazing!

This is our 2nd year staying in this building. Last year we stayed in a two bedroom. The location is perfect. About 15 miles from the airport, Clearwater or St. Pete. We prefer the less busy beaches and Indian Shores is a hidden gem we've fallen in love with. We had two teens on spring break who stayed upstairs. They loved it and had their own rooftop patio to lay out on. The spiral stairs were not easy to get a 50lb suitcase up but they did it. Also, you will climb a few flights of stairs getting to the unit with those heavy suitcases but it is so worth it! The condo is beautifully updated and had everything we needed from dishwasher tabs, trash bags, beach towels, beach bag, cooler, awesome beach chairs, umbrellas and more. This was a nice bonus since we flew. They had board games and binoculars. A very informative book on places to eat and anything you need to know. Everyone had plenty of space and the beds were comfortable. It was very clean and I loved the decor. This truly felt like home away from home. The sunsets are breathtaking and you can watch right from 3 balconies or steps away on the beach. The owner even brought us more beach towels on our last day. I really can't express how much you'll love staying here. We can't wait to return and are already missing that beautiful view. Thanks so much for sharing your little slice of heaven.

Definitely Recommend

From right when we booked to checking out Sean was very helpful! Sean made himself very available through texting directly, calling or email. The place is very immaculate and well kept. It is a hidden Gem for sure! The views of course are great! The hot tub on roof is a nice touch. Having the Beach chairs/umbrellas was extremely helpful! The area has many things to offer! The seclusion is the BEST as the Beach wasn't overly populated!

We'll be back!

Our family had a wonderful week at Sol-Mate and can't wait to return. This property has been completely renovated on the inside and they did a beautiful job! Outside of the building needs some TLC. Unit is well stocked with beach towels, beach chairs etc. We enjoyed July 4th fireworks from the rooftop, what an experience! Even Hurricane Elsa couldn't put a damper on our week. Stephanie (owner) was very caring and checked in on us prior to and after the storm. Luckily Elsa only brought a night and morning of rain and winds then all was well! We look forward to returning in the future!

Overall, this is a nice condo that is right on the beach. The owners are easy to communicate with as your rental approaches and once you are there. It may be in the listing and I may have missed it, There are a lot of steps (32 to be exact) and no elevator. So if you have accessibility needs, you should look elsewhere. A few other items: there is not a door between the master bedroom and the master bathroom, and only a sheet separating the commode from the sink area, there are two steps down to the 2nd bedroom that are at the base of the door; could easily be missed, the master bed mattress is soft – comfortable as long as you like a soft mattress. Also, If this is your first time to Indian Shores or Indian Rock Beach, it takes a while to drive up and down the strip. Pros: Nicely decorated Easy access with door keypads On the beach Great sunset views New beach chairs Nice washer and dryer Quiet Plenty of board games Flat-screen TVs Good Wifi Covered parking for one car Cons: Remodeling is nice but not completely finished (trim is missing in several areas, etc. (Looks like done by owner) Hot tub has mold on the built-in rubber headrests Top-level deck chairs need cleaning Kitchen corner cabinet is very hard to open Some old appliance duplicates that should be thrown out

Perfect! Already booked for next year!

I can’t say enough great things about Sol-Mate. The condo is exactly as it appears in the photos. When we arrived, I couldn’t believe how clean it was. I’m quite fussy/picky too. The layout it great. It only took a day for us to feel like we were settled in. There seemed to be a place for all the things we bought so we didn’t feel we were living out of suitcases or tripping over things we brought. The triple sliding doors to the main balcony open all the way so you get some 12 feet of wide open fresh air overlooking the Gulf. Beautiful. I love to cook and I found the kitchen very well stocked pots, pans, grater, juicer, serving pieces, etc. . Also, the essentials to get you started (soap, dish soap, trash bag,s, TP, etc) was a nice touch. The condo is in a great location, close to the busier areas like St. Pete’s Beach and Clearwater Beach, yet far less traffic and noise. Biking is very easy and fun. You can bike to grocery store (2.5 miles,) Pickleball courts (3 miles) etc. . Was a great way to get around. The area is also very walkable. We never needed to turn on the AC as the breeze was all we needed. Sean and Jennifer are amazing hosts. The condo is decorated very tastefully. Really, we can’t say enough great things about our stay, the condo, location. Check out Dunedin to the north and Pass-a-grille, to the south. Both are great spots for a visit.. Also, check out Stans Tapas for dinner. Down the street a few miles.. Food was wonderful. We also bought fresh fish from Nachmans Seasfood Market (a few miles away) which was phenomenal and we bought ingredients to make a few dinners from Mazzaro’s Italian Market. They have wonderful fresh pastas, pizza, meats, sausages, bakery, cheeses, etc. A very fun visit. Note, doggos aren’t allowed on the beach. But, you can go to North Beach in Clearwater if your doggo wants to play on the beach and in water.

Beautiful sunsets!

We loved our stay at Soul-mate. The weather cooperated for February! We were there for a week and only lost one day on the beach as it got chilly. Beautiful beach to take long walks and lounge. The chairs, umbrellas and cooler were great for the beach. The condo was super comfy. Loved and made use of all the deck areas and hot tub. Wine & beer tasting across the street if you run out of drinking supplies. Also a pizza place which we took advantage of the first nite we were there as we got in late. We did not have a car and Ubered which was fine. But I would recommend a car as not much too close by. I couldn’t figure out the trolley system. We ate at Salt Rock Restaurant about 1/2 mile down road. Amazing food and happy hour. Check out their menu specials and make reservations!! We rented bikes and a boat from Indian shores Bike and marine about 1 1/2 mile away. The guys there are great and the boat fantastic! Caddy’s is right next door so after boating went there for a fun time. Indian shores coffee within walking distance. Odd little place but just try it. Delic muffins. On our one chilly day we hiked down to the Seashore Bird Sanctuary. Worth checking out. After we went to Friendly Bar for lunch. Should have tried sooner as would have liked to try their dinner specials. Must go to Waffle House!! Amazing everything. There is mini golf a short walk away, a fun way to pass the evening. We used Walmart grocery to deliver our food, drink and supplies. Was great and their produce the best! Just be aware there a lot of steps. We were fine with that but if you have disability or have heavy luggage could be a problem. It is technically 3 flights! The sunsets are the best. Almost every night was perfect. Plenty of dolphins swimming by and saw some bat rays a few times. Would definitely return!

Beautiful Condo With Room For Improvement

I am very conflicted about writing this review because there were so many things right, but also a lot of things wrong with the property. The first thing that was bothersome was no response to my communication inquiring about early check in. Just no response at all 3 weeks prior to check in. A reply explaining their check in policy would have been nice. THE STAIRS!! There is absolutely NO mention, in the condo description of the 3 flights of stairs that you must walk every time you leave and return to the condo. My husband has a leg injury and I have lung disease, so knowing that we'd have to walk those 3 flights of stairs would have been a deal breaker for us. Disclosing those stairs should have been a MUST. The towels in the unit were horrible. Very cheap and small. Bath sheets would have been nice. For the price we paid per night, a higher quality towel would have been appropriate. Being a beach condo, a handheld shower should be a must to get all the sand out of all the body crevices. The water pressure and the showerhead in the master bath was not sufficient at all and we'd wake up with sand all over the sheets. Speaking of sheets.. There was only 1 set of sheets per bed. No change of sheets was to be found anywhere in the unit. The kitchen was sparsely stocked with the cheapest pots and pans you can buy. The handles on the pans were lose and rusted. We actually had to go to Target to purchase nonstick pans to prepare bacon and eggs for our group. There was no pizza cutter, and the knives were dull and did not work. Some plastic glasses would have been nice to bring drinks down to the beach as well. Red solo cups don't cut it. Also, the closet with all of the beach gear was gross. Everything was musty and stank like mold. Our jacuzzi was green and smelly upon arrival and was unusable for 3 days. ( However was fixed promptly upon notifying them of the issue ) The thing that irritated us the most was the check in instructions to not have the air conditioner on colder than 78 degrees. How ridiculous is that? It's summer, in Florida and you threaten to charge a "service call fee" if the unit freezes if we turn the air colder than 78 degrees. I'm sorry but there is NO way I'm going to live for 10 days in Florida at 78 degrees. That should be disclosed in your listing and not sprung on us 3 days before check in. I've stayed in many rentals in Florida and for the money we spent, I doubt we'd return to this one.

This is a great rental unit and meets the promises shown on the internet. The owner is super responsive and any questions we had were addressed immediately and satisfactorily.The unit itself has anything you’ll need and view is terrific.Remember this is a rental and not your house so judge accordingly. You’ll find it’s all you need and more.A note of caution. There is no elevator and about 30 steps up to the entry on the second floor. The stairs are interrupted by a landing between ground a floor 1 and another between 1st and 2nd floor.People with average abilities will have no problems.VRBO rental process was easy and as efficient as I’ve always experienced.

A great week

This property was identical to the photos and description. Everything we needed was in the home including towels, plenty of sheets and bedding, dishes, coffee pot, and even laundry hampers! Sunning on the roof is a nice experience and the sunsets on the gulf are absolutely breathtaking. The property owner is very responsive and reached out to make sure things were going okay the day we arrived. There is just nothing like being right on the beach! I would definitely book again!

Indiana Shores - Beautiful Beach / Great Location

The condo was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The balcony overlooked the ocean and the beach being right out your backdoor was perfect. We were traveling with a small child so a couple of things to be cautious of are: lots of stairs to walk up to get to the unit so loading and unloading luggage was a challenge and single stairs and spiral stairs in the condo were a challenge with an 18 month old. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend this condo to friends and family. Property management were accessible and responsive.

A conflicting review

I have never written a negative review, so let me start with the positives. The location is great, views are amazing, and kitchen and bathrooms are updated. Now, onto the negatives, the furnishings both inside and on the decks were not up to par. Quite frankly, I didn’t even want to sit on the living room furniture. The mattresses were really bad. Lastly, everyone should know that there are 32 steps to climb to enter the unit.

Wonderful stay with the best view

Such a relaxing trip and so needed for our family! We got away for the Thanksgiving holiday as we lost our home in Hurricane Helene, and this property was the perfect place to destress and enjoy family time. With all the balconies and the gorgeous views, we could keep an eye on the kids while they played down by the water. House was clean and comfortable. A beautiful well equipped condo!

We originally booked the condo mainly because of the hot tub on the roof top. We had a 1 year old with us so the idea was that we could chill in the spa once he was asleep. Sadly due to the storm and new rulings the hot tub was removed. I only realised this when I was showing a family member the Condo. We checked if we could cancel and book something else with a pool/tub but we couldn’t. The proprietors did give us a $50 dollar voucher. Checking in was confusing as the specific number of the condo was not specified on the information. The condo is in a beautiful location on Indian shores and is very well equipped with beach chairs, games etc. It is also a good location to visit other areas. We was lucky enough to spot a few dolphins from the balcony and the beach. We visited just recently after the 2 hurricanes so a lot of work was being completed on the beach which was great to see. I would recommend this condo to families/groups it’s spacious and has lovely decor. Thank you for a lovely stay.

My wife is from California and I am from Michigan. We met on a random road down the Pacific Coast Highway and the rest they say is history. We live in Tampa (just a short drive away) and are the proud parents of Finn who keeps us pretty busy.

Why they chose this property

My wife and I have always felt connected to the water and after Finn was born we found ourselves the beach constantly. I had been coming to Indian Shores since I moved down in 1998 and fell in love with the laid back family atmosphere it had to offer. So after searching for nearly two years...we found Sunplace. We fell in love instantly and knew this is where we wanted to make our family memories together. Since our schedules never let us use it as much as we like...we wanted to share it with others...to let our guests get a better understanding of why we think this is one of the best places on earth! Enjoy!

What makes this property unique

A large majority of the gulf front condos are cookie cutter - two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a small balcony located in a huge building.
