Nice get away!

Cozy little cabin in the rolling hills of VT. Great place to get away from it all and enjoy nature. Always a great place to be. Cabin has everything you need and then some. Come get it!

Epic VT cabin and location

We loved our more than a week at the cozy cabin the woods - private location on gravel roads but just 10 mins from town (south Royalton or Tunbridge), perfectly outfitted kitchen and bedrooms for a family of 4, and property to roam, take backyard bike rides and hikes, etc. Calen's hospitality and responsiveness was second to none. A truly unique rustic stay, just what we were hoping for.

Perfect vacation hideaway

Look no further than this little home away from home for your vacation plans. If off the beaten path appeals to you then stop scrolling. This place was perfect and centrally located for you leaf peepers touring Vermont in the Fall. Calen has left no stone unturned. Accommodations are as advertised and you won’t be disappointed.

Nice spot

Great location, out of the way . . . enough. There isn't much nearby for groceries or towns. A couple of local eateries that are good. The cabin is small and cozy. It was warm on our 30-something degree nights. The property is wooded and quiet - great for a walk with my 5yo daughter. Note that you need to take your garbage with you and if leaving on a Sunday, the transfer station is closed.

We loved our stay in Vermont at the cabin. Everything was as expected and described. Even the drive up the mountain on the hard packed dirt road was stunning rural and GREEN. we loved the quiet, the green, the trails and the wonderful fire circle at night for dinner and wine! The cabin is so "cozy" as described. The Food Co-Op in S. Royalton is not to be missed for shopping and great lunch! Worthy Burger in S. Royalton gave us a bit of Brooklyn NY....lots of craft beer. We did one day in upscale Woodstock, but hurried back to the quiet of the woods. Didn't have time to get to White River or the theatre/movies at Dartmouth College. Next time! Loved it. Thanks for a great weekend and all the guide books.

Perfect alternative to camping

Unable to book our annual camping trip, I searched for something that would give our daughter a close second choice for her first impression of what it's like, and boy did this place deliver! Hiking on the property led to her first encounter with a red eft, and baby frogs. We saw a confusion of guinea hens just up the road, listened to moose mooks, owls and coyotes from the porch in the evening. And although facing south, we still were able to see a few shooting stars streak across the sky from the Perseid meteor shower! Expect bugs - you're in the middle of the woods! Cabin has everything you need and really is cozy! Thanks again Calen for opening your home to us and giving our daughter the nature adventure we hoped for her. P.S. Highly recommend a trip to VINS in Queechee.

This was the most wonderful mini vacation my family has ever been on! The property was beautifully maintained, the cabin… GORGEOUS, the pictures really don’t do it justice. We will 100% come back and stay longer.

Wonderful woods cottage with all the creature comforts!

Great place for me while I took a course at Vermont Law. My family came for one night and the kids LOVED it. The resident hawk is beautiful. Ripe blackberries. Decent wifi. Will definitely come back.

Cozy and convenient!

Cabin was as described, awesome location to to Woodstock dog show site , lots of space to walk dogs , mountain is beautiful ! An upgrade of bed linens and towels would be only suggestion but all else was awesome !!! Thank you for having us !!
