Located on the outskirts of the popular and historical village of Little Walsingham, Beech House is a lovely two storey, four bedroom townhouse that forms part of a fabulous Old Vicarage complex of properties. Situated just a ten minute walk from the pub and shop, as well as being within easy driving distance of the Norfolk coastline, this stylish hideaway enjoys peace and quiet whilst also being well connected.
Converted to a very high standard, Beech House is extremely well-equipped with contemporary stylish furniture and furnishings. The high quality modern kitchen has been finished to a high standard with sparkly granite worktops, central island and a good selection of appliances. The adjoining orangery-style conservatory hosts a circular dining table with glorious wrap-around garden views, creating a lovely spot to enjoy the first morning light with a coffee, or to spend an evening sharing in good food and conversation as the light fades. The beautifully decorated sitting room features an impressive wood burning stove that adds extra warmth and ambient light on chilly evenings. And for when the sun is shining, french doors open up to the garden patio, allowing fresh country air to drift through. Three bedrooms are conveniently located on the ground floor (a king-size with en-suite and two twin rooms), plus there is a shower room with rainfall shower. Upstairs on the first floor, the master suite hosts a king-size bed and en-suite shower room. These rooms have all been kitted out with exceptionally comfy beds and inviting decor.
Outside, the lawned garden is sheltered by the mature beech tree that gives the cottage its name. Enjoy the surroundings as you dine al fresco from the charcoal barbecue, with uninterrupted views to the meadow beyond. Designated parking is available for two large cars or four small cars.
Just a short walk from Beech House is hugely popular and well-reputed Walsingham Farm Shop where you can purchase a variety of seasonal and delicious local produce, from meat to cookies. You will love discovering Walsingham's rich history by visiting the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham and the Abbey Grounds. A trip on the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway is not to be missed.

A really beautiful house set in lovely surroundings.
Beech house is a very high quality holiday home. It's comfortable, very well equipped and immaculately clean. The conservatory and views across the paddock make it very special indeed and we benefitted from amazing weather so enjoyed sitting in the garden watching the birdlife.
The property is on an estate with several other properties and even though at Beech House no pets are allowed that is not the case for surrounding properties so be aware it is not a dog free zone.
The only downside we found was that after long drives for all of us there was no welcome hamper and not even a tea bag and a jug of milk to make a cup of tea. It is the first time we have been to a holiday property where there was no hamper big or small so it felt less welcoming and more impersonal.
However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if there had been a welcome hamper we would give it a massive 10/10!

Excellent family home
We have been up to Norfolk many times with my family but have never found anywhere we would return to, but we would return to Beech House.
Really appreciated the generosity of the house. There was a whole cupboard of lovely clean matching mugs as an example. So often you have a house for 8 with 8 mismatched mugs. It sounds a silly thing but I really appreciated it. There were plenty of cooking utensils and the house was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Comfy sofas and comfy beds.

Wonderful Walsingham
Beech house is a wonderful house in a brilliant location for exploring North Norfolk. We’ve stayed here twice and already planning on booking for next year. It’s the perfect house for all ages and large families holidaying together. It has everything you need to make your holiday as relaxing as possible. A real home away from home.

Review of Beech House, Little Walsingham
Beech House was an excellent location for a three generation family holiday. The property was really well equipped, had everything we needed in terms of cooking utensils, and all appliances were straightforward to use.The house was very clean, and well maintained and decorated; it was ideally situated for visiting parts of North Norfolk, and the garden was an added bonus. We'd definitely return here again, and would recommend Beech House very highly.

As a family we had a fabulous stay at Beech House which is such a comfortable and delightful house to relax in.
The children loved the horses at the end of the garden and playing outside in the very nice garden. The decor and standard of the house is excellent.
The location of the house is great too to visit the likes of Holkham, Wells, etc
We loved it and will be back!

Fantastic stay at Beech House, Little Walsingham
3 generations of our family all highly recommend this property. A spacious and beautiful home with a lovely shady garden, ample storage space and lovely modern bathrooms. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need, not just the bare minimum. When we flagged a small (non urgent) issue with one of the velux windows on arrival, it was fixed quickly. When the owners came in to sort it, they emptied the dishwasher for us and provided extra dishwasher tablets etc. So considerate, it's those little extra things that make you feel so welcome. We've stayed in many properties in Norfolk now and this was a definite favourite in terms of the house itself. The location is a bit more remote than Wells, but this seems to be reflected in the price, plus it was nice to have some peace and quiet in a beautiful part of the countryside.

Beech House is very comfortable, well equipped, modern and spacious and set in a peaceful location.
Beech House is one part of a fairly large complex known as 'The Old Vicarage' situated on a quiet country lane between the two villages of Great Walsingham and Little Walsingham.
Entry is via a communial entrance shared by 2 other holiday units.
Beech House itself is a spacious holiday let with a lovely light and modern conservatory / kitchen / diner at the rear with a large corner garden overlooking fields. It is very well equipped for 8 people which means that one can use the dishwasher without running out of cups or cutlery! ( the only thing we couldn't find was an ice cube tray for the freezer- fortunately one of our guests had bought her own with her together with the gin, tonics and lemons!)
Our group consisted of 5 lady friends so we were able to spread out between the 4 bedrooms with only 2 having to share one of the twin rooms. Bedrooms were well furnished and very comfortable with modern bathrooms and showers - some ensuite.
The lounge was spacious and comfortable and would be very cosy in the winter with a lovely wood burner.
Outside parking allocation was good and allowed for 2 cars with an easy entrance off the lane through an open five bar gate onto a gravelled car parking area and well kept shared front garden.
We enjoyed walks along the lane straight from the property going left into Great Walsingham and visiting the Walsingham barns which had art galleries and craft shops and a good cafe.Going right out of the grounds for a short walk again took you into Little Walsingham with its pubs, small convenience shop, numerous antique outlets and a very good farm shop.
Other attractions were the Abbey grounds, numerous churches including the shrines , one in the village and one a pleasant one mile walk from the village along the old railway line edged with lovely wild flowers. There was a bus service from the village and also the model train into Wells next to sea.
We found the house to be also very well placed for visiting other lovely parts of North Norfolk - Holkham Hall,Wells next-to -sea and Blakeney for beaches and boat trips,Burham market and Burnham Over Staithe and the National Trust properties of Felbrigg Hall and Blickling not too far to travel to.
All in all it was a great holiday - a lovely house to stay in either as a group of friends or extended family and a lovely area to visit.
Thank you.

This was our first visit to Norfolk. Everyone enjoyed the house and its facilities, and the location of Walsingham. There was plenty to see and do in spite of wet weather and the house was always warm to come home to.

Excellent stay
We stayed here to celebrate the New Year with a group of friends. Found the house just stunning everything you could wish for. Beautiful furnishings, spacious accommodation and wonderful views of the countyside with horses in the fields. There was a couple of decent restaurants and a pub along with a fish and chip shop all within walking distance. Beaches are only a short distance away so what more can you ask for. Thoroughly recommended.

Wonderful stay in Walsingham
Lovely property, well furnished and comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent, the kitchen well stocked and the lounge comfy cosy.We spent a lot of time in the conservatory, as the weather was wonderful, looking at the changing colours of the woodland, the wildlife and the 'faces' on the trunk of the Beech tree. Although we have visited Norfolk lots of times this area was new to us and it was fascinating. To be able to walk everywhere, to explore, and to eat, was an unexpected bonus. Ghostly singing voices drifting over the meadows delighted us as the Pigrimages passed on by. We cannot wait to book again.

The Beech House - we found a place that we will return to.
Our stay at The Beech House wasn't long enough!
The location is ideal for visiting North Norfolk. The accommodation is excellent. Our family group aged from 18 - 85 and all loved The Beech House. It is spacious, homely and comfortable with every modern convenience. The decor is simple but beautiful. The setting of The Beech House couldn't be more relaxing. We enjoyed family meals in the conservatory looking out over the garden, the copper beech tree, to the meadow, trees and horses. Its location is so peaceful. The swing in the garden was a particular hit with everyone. We had lovely weather, however, even if the weather wasn't kind, staying in The Beech House would still be a treat. We didn't want to leave and will return when we can.

And the weather helped
Excellent venue with high quality facilities (except the creeky stairs). Brilliant for the grandchildren
Slightly worrying customer service in that a breakage was reported by leaving a message on an answerphone system, but he following day another call was made to confirm the situation, only to be told no original message had been received.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review Beech House.
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the property and that it was great for your grandchildren.
I would like to apologise for missing your answerphone message and thank you for following it up with another call the following morning.
I can assure you that discussions have taken place with my colleagues and going forward this will not happen again.
Best wishes.. The Hideaways Team.

A perfect family holiday property.
Having three generations in one house ranging from 2 to 65+ it is always interesting to see how a property fits your needs. Beech House was perfect!
The house is well stocked with an abundance of pots, pans, cups, plates etc which are essential when catering for all needs.
Comfort in every room and plenty of places to find a space if peace and quiet were required including the garden.
Could not have expected more and even the weather was fairly kind to us.
Hope we can visit again sometime and would recommend to anybody.

Excellent place to stay!
The Beech house is excellent, they have thought of everything, from the layout to the kitchen utensils! It felt very spacious and the views are stunning! Perfect location, my only criticism would be there seemed to be lady birds everywhere!
