Great location and apartment

Everything was fantastic. Will definitely stay here again, if it's available. Located close to the train station, subway, and restaurants, but incredibly quiet. Decorated with lots of amazing original artwork.

Interesting art and everything else you could want

Slightly out of the crush that the Alfama can become but close to restaurants and everything you want to see. It was lovely to sit on the balcony in the morning and listen to the birds.

Wonderful host

Such a lovely apartment. John was most accommodating and communicated easily with us. Alfama is a peaceful place and our stay was so nice because of this flat. We would stay here again if and when we return.

Adventure in Al Fama!

Clean, spacious, and comfortable for 4 adults. Our host, Jaoa, met us at the door and gave us a great local restaurant rec. Steep narrow cobblestone streets and 16th Century buildings made it an adventure!

First time in Portugal

The property manager was wonderful to work with—prompt to reply and flexible. Our apartment was all we could have wished for—roomy, charmingly decorated, and quiet. It was easy to get places from there, and there were good eating establishments within walking distance. The history of the area made it that much more interesting. We would recommend it to all visitors!

Alfama apartment is the best location

The apartment is cozy and welcoming after a full day of walking this gorgeous city. The neighborhood restaurants are quaint and tourist friendly and would highly recommend. I stayed for four nights with my 21 grand-daughter and we felt safe and relaxed. The location is quiet and check-in friendly and warm. The Metro and Train are very close as we used them to travel to Evora and to the Airport to pick up a car rental for further travel in Portugal. It’s the best!

Beautiful two-bedroom apartment in medieval Alfama, around the corner from the Pantheon. Very high ceilings and art on every wall. Great restaurant recommendations.

Schönes Apartment!

Guter Kontakt, Joāo hat uns empfangen und freundlich willkommen geheißen. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet, toll gelegen in der Alfama nicht weit vom Zentrum und vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Etliche Restaurants und Bars befinden sich in der Umgebung. Man kommt von der Wohnung schnell in alle Richtungen, da sich nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß der Bahnhof/ Metro/Busstation und Taxistand befindet ! Praktischer gehts nicht.

Great location, beautiful apartment!

Fantastic location to base your visit to Lisbon! Easy to get around whether you want to walk, take the tram, bus or train. Joao made it so easy, even taking our bags early until we could officially check in. Neighborhood is cute, with stores and restaurants within blocks. We had a great time and can't wait to come back!

A slice of life in Lisbon

We enjoyed being a part of the neighborhood, eating and enjoying Fado within steps of the apartment. We could choose to go into other parts of town and experience the tourist activities or stay close to the apartment and feel like we were hanging out with locals. Santa Apolonia station was convenient for both train and subway travel. Overall, a great stay!

Taumhafte Unterkunft in Alfama, zentral gelegen aber etwas abseits vom Touristenstrom

Die geschmakvoll eingerichtete/konfortable Altbauwohnung liegt eine Querstraße vom Wasser entfernt und daher geht immer ein angenehmes Lüftchen. Wir waren sehr gerne "zu Hause" und haben den Blick ins Grüne sowie auf die enge und tagsüber belebte Gasse sehr genossen. Sehr gute öffendliche Anbindung (auch zum Flughafen), zahlreiche Lokale /Cafes sowie MiniMercados um die Ecke.

Perfect place in the perfect location

We had a nine day stay at this amazing property in the heart of the Alfama district. It was perfect place to start our Portugal excursion near the national pantheon. The kitchen was fully equipped with an awesome view of a well designed garden. The master bedroom had a regal bed with an amazing desig quite fitting for a European location. The most unique thing about the apartment was the art. I highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
