We spent three nights here and had a lovely stay. This is a specious apartment and worked well for our family of four. The location was excellent - a short walk from the beach and also very close to the tram stop, with easy access to Nice Old Town.

First time using VRBO. Sadly we arrived to dirty,dusty appartment not prepared for our stay. Did contact owner on our return he says it was time restraints . Never ever stayed in dirty apartment before. It looked and felt not been fully cleaned in weeks. Doors and frames marks and dusty. Skirting boards dirty and dusty. Tops of pictures etc full of dust. Holes in bedding and bath mat. , yellow stained pillows and quilts. Dirty mirror in bedroom. Plug sockets away from the walls in both bedrooms. Smelly dishwasher and smelly washing machine. Chatty Furniture on the balcony, again balcony not been cleaned, nothing like photos on the website. All mix matched bedding and pillowcases didn't fit pillows in main bedroom. Nothing like the photosDamaged Furniture in lounge . No cleaning products/ equipment to try and maintain had it been clean. No way was I spending my holiday cleaning this appartment or spending any of my money buying products etc. Or ringing round or sending emails or waiting in for mangement team or making sure we were out for them to come in . Never had to deal with type of situation before. Did contact the owner to try resolve. He has not responded to my second email. Shame as kitchen and bathroom have been renovated. But not kept clean etc. Window frames and fans dirty .So feel only fair to warn people about this host/poor management.Especially having paid the amount we did for the week. We do have photos as evidence.

Really disappointed to read such a review, especially as we did everything possible to try and accommodate the guests for a very early check in. A quick phone call or message would have any concerns all put right very quickly by Steve. What's the point in complaining after you have left? I guess you can't please everyone even though we do try ;o) Please look at all the other reviews including Airbnb for a more realistic perspective ;o)

Easy communication with host. Excellent location near to transit, beach, restaurants, etc. accomodation worked well for family with children who could use the bunk beds.

Good stay!

Host was very friendly and communicative. Made us feel very welcome and appreciated. Second room very small with two bunks but rest of apartment a good size and comfortable. The location is great. Tram stops, quick walk to the beach, cheap and varied places to eat. I would recommend the place and we would stay here again.

Stay in Nice

The place was great especially the location. Easy access to the tram and very easy walk to promenade by the sea. We were able to get fruit and pastries from nearby market and bakeries. Also cheeses and meats. Great experience!!

Great flat for a family steps from the sea in Nice!

We were very impressed with the thoughtfulness of snacks, beverages, etc that were provided upon arrival. Plenty of restaurants and groceries within walking distance. Les Canailles was a great recommendation for a day at the beach. Also, Steve who manages the property met us promptly both when checking in and out and was very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay again if we return to Nice!

Wonderful location and fantastic hosts!

The location was perfect and the apartment very comfortable. Alex provided excellent instructions on not only the apartment but the city and how to get to the apartment by public transport. Steve met us at the apartment early (early check-in), which was great, since we were tired from two days of traveling. We loved Nice so much that we didn’t want to leave and hope to return soon.

We loved the location of the apt. A pastry shop ,market and the beach close by. The tram was a great way to get around and was 5 min away. My only problem was the A/c was not able to keep the place cool as it was August and very hot but we did have fans which helped.we were able to see so much Monaco, Monte Carlo, Eze, Villafranc the gorge Rorhchild mansion. You can take a bus to Italy in 2 hours or a train to Cannes.the apt was very well located

Convenience

We had a great time staying at this apartment. It is only a short block to the beach and a very comfortable small beach resort. We found that we spent a lot of time taking the trolley to the restaurants and markets. There are trolley stops very close and a yummy Boulanger a short 5 minute walk away. Alex was very responsive prior to arrival and Steve was waiting at the door for us when we arrived. The apartment was clean and comfortable. It worked great as a jumping off point to explore the area.

Great location

Another diamond in the rough. This unit is easy to access and Steve (property manager) was available on what’s app if you needed him. We were welcomed with some snacks and juice and wine which made the need to stop at the store right away unnecessary. The space as a decent fold out bed in the living room so one teen had the bunk beds while THR other took over the other space. Getting around on the tram is very easy and there is one just a quick walk away. There is a patisserie around to the left with great croissants and we found one to the right about five minute walk which had great tarts and fruit pastries. When you head downtown check out the shops just to the left of the Garibaldi/ Château station, there are little streets of shops and restaurants that are awesome and you end up at the market in the end. We’d stay again!

Dishonest attitude

Main criteria for our stay in July 2010 -very hot summer!- were air-conditioning and lift. Rental amount was totally paid beforehand as requested. Air-con being out of order when we checked-in, we could not and did not stay in the apartment. Mr Bolton initially refused any compensation; after much negotiations by email, he finally agreed, end of August, to refund 40% of total amount ... that as at today 06/02/11 has never been credited into our account ! Very disappointing attitude to the least...

Unfortunately the air conditioning for the building was under repair for only one day (planned maintenance) but the party were not prepared to stay despite the use of fans available in the apartment.

Great location; within 5 mins walk to supermarkets, a bakery, pizza place, tram stop(s) and the beach. Apartment has all the amenities you need. The Tram line itself is right out the front door, 10-15 mins to town.Very nice to have the air conditioning during a hot summer. Double glazing makes the place very quiet. Excellent communication (English for us) with the hosts before and during.

Dicht bij het strand trams alles was in orde. Het appartement heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Zelfs een trolley om naar de winkel te gaan.

Our stay in Nice at this property was very pleasant. The property manager was waiting for us upon our arrival and warmly welcomed us. The place was clean, several sets of keys were left for use, and there were even beach chairs. I would definitely recommend a stay here. Very pleasant experience

Excellent break

We recently stayed in this lovely 2 bed apartment for a short break in Nice which was located right next to the promenade; great for walks and views. It had a great balcony which had a partial sea view and was great to just sit and relax in the evening and watch the world go by. The apartment was bigger than we had imagined which was a nice surprise and had good aircon which helped keep it nice and cool. Booking and access was nice and easy and the host (Alex) was very helpful and responsive which always gives good confidence. Loved Nice, and we will be back!
