About this property
Casa de Mossa
Summary Our house is close to cafés, shops, restaurants, pharmacy, supermarket. It is in the heart of Valldemossa, although in a very silent street, with cosy little alleys and their flower pots. Easy access to public transport, and carpark is 3-4 mins walk. Valldemossa is a perfect village for relaxing and within easy reach of Palma and other places on the Island (15mins to Palma and 25mins to the Airport). Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers and families (with kids).
The Space The house is lovingly decorated, with nice features, a mix of rustic and modern style; and there are 3 levels connected by stairs. It has 3 Bedrooms, with comfy beds; 2 Bathrooms and a TV room. The Kitchen is very well equipped with brand new appliances, and a cosy Living Room, which gives access to the balcony and outside area, where you´ll be able to see amazing views of Serra de Tramuntana, declared World Heritage, by Unesco. The Patio is very quiet and a great place to have breakfast, lunch or a romantic dinner!
Valldemossa's temperature in Summer time can be more pleasant than Palma City's temperature. We also provide electric fans throughout the entire house and each bedroom. ** PLEASE NOTE THAT AC (AIR CONDITIONING) IS NOT LISTED AS AN AMENITY IN THE HOUSE. ** In Winter, there is underfloor heating, which is set up automatically (living areas such as TV, living and dining rooms are turned on during the day, then they turn off at night, and the bedrooms will turn on). There is a portable parafin heater and a dehumidifier as well, that also work as heating.
Guest Access For those who come with children, we provide you access to a travel cot with its mattress, sheets etc. There will also be available a box of toys that your kids can play with. We give our guests space, but we are available when needed. We have been living in Mallorca since 2008, we can give you very good recommendations about beaches, restaurants, villages and walking treks.
Other Things to Note There are beaches you can visit nearby, where you can swim and find some of the best seafood restaurants in Mallorca: Sóller Beach, Valldemossa Port Beach, and Cala Déia. Frederic Chopin Piano Festival is held each year in summer. This is a series of concerts given by internationally renowned performers. A large number of people that love music and culture attend it; as well as Artdemossa, a fantastic night with concerts and art exhibitions throughout town. For updated events on Traditional Mallorquín Festivals, "La Beata", etc, please check online sites. Spring, Autumn and Winter seasons are also very magical times to visit the village, either you can see flowers blooming throughout the enchanting little streets, watch the changing colours of leaves or visit the traditional family bakeries, where they serve up the local ‘coca de patata’ translated to ‘potato cake’, a sweet cake made with boiled potatoes to form a soft bun, commonly eaten with thick hot chocolate in winter time, a favourite amongst the locals. Walking or hiking are ultimate things to do in all Seasons, you will find plenty of trails in Serra de Tramuntana with stunning views: Ermita de la Trinitat, S´Estaca, GR221 Son Moragues, hike from Deia to Valldemossa etc. Cyclists also love to be located in Valldemossa, easy access to Deiá or Sóller towns. Golf Players have the Golf of Son Termes at only 10 minutes away.
The Neighbourhood Overview The cultural and historical site The Real Cartuja (Royal Carthusian Monastery) is the focus of any visit, other places to visit include the Palace of King Sancho next to the Cartuja and the Cultural Centres, the Costa Nord and Coll Bardolet, with concerts and art exhibitions all year along. You can also visit Just Art Gallery in the main street Calle Blanquerna. Besides, another main reason to stay in Valldemossa is to enjoy the countryside. You can admire the views from your bed or get out there and explore first hand. There are many well signed posted trails in the hills - ask at the Tourist Office Information Centre (next to the carpark) for maps. The village itself is full of charming streets filled with cafes, great restaurants, galleries and gift shops. It's easy enough to pick up nice cuisine in the village - try Ca'n Mario, Es Roquissar or Casa de Sa Miranda. Just outside Valldemossa there is a refined restaurant in Valldemossa Hotel. For great fish and seafood, head to the Port de Valldemossa, Es Port restaurant - about 6 km from Valldemossa on the coast, where you can eat on the terrace overlooking the sea.
Getting Around There is access to public transport, line 210 , which takes you to Plaza España, in Palma, or to the University of Balearic Island (UIB). The same line also travels to Deia and Soller. Only residents are allowed to park their cars in the old town part of the village. So for everyone else there are two possibilities of car parking, which both are only 3-4 minutes walk from the house: 1) Blue zone Parking from 20:00 till 10:00 is free of charge. 2) White zone Parking is free and time is unlimited: when you come from Palma, after the only traffic light you'll see, turn first to the right (Carrer na Mas), then again to the right (Carrer Son Gual) and then left, where you can park (Carrer Ametlers).

Patricia is a great host! She goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable. This was not the first time we booked her authentic house in valdemossa with many modern conveniences and fully stocked with everything you might need and again we very much enjoyed our stay so it probably won’t be our last.
Wonderful stay in a wonderful property! Property exactly as described. Property worked well for 2 x adult couples as one could base on top floor with the other on lower levels, both with own bathrooms. Property is in an excellent location in the small town. Host communication exceptional, available via App and WhatsApp, and willing to help with incidental queries such as taxis. Would highly recommend booking this property.
we really enjoyed our stay. the house is beautiful and Valldemossa is suitable as a place to stay (eg for hiking or just having a coffee) or as a starting point for trips (Palma, Sóller). Patricia is a great host who was always available for us.
Patricia went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. She was very flexible with our group’s needs and was welcoming and communicative. Would love to stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.
This has been our favorite vrbo. Exactly as looks in photos. Town is so charming. Fun to step right out into it each morning. Owner is wonderful and helpful. Beds are comfortable. Location is quiet. All just perfect.
This home was a dream! We had plenty of room for the three of us and felt like royalty having our own rooms. It was walking distance to the adorable shops and restaurants and the off-site parking wasn't too far. Totally worth it to be in the center of town. It had a unique kitchen with everything we needed once we knew where to look in the drawers. We also didn't know where to find the laundry which was outside on the patio hidden from view, but Patricia was very responsive whenever we had any questions. It was a bit hard to find the first night in the dark but we got there eventually :) Would 10/10 stay there again!
We loved everything about our stay at this beautiful and charming home in the lovely village of Valldemossa. The location, the views, and the design of the spaces are all fantastic. Patricia has thought of everything you could need! I only wish we could have stayed longer.
Thank you Patricia for making our stay in Valldemossa feel like your home was our home. Not only perfectly located to shops and restaurants, it is beautifully furnished and finished. You provided wonderful and plentiful amenities and, when we had any questions or needed advice, you were readily available. We couldn't have asked for better. You are definitely a superhost(ess). We hope we can visit again.
Old world charm with modern upgrades in the heart of Valldemossa
We loved our stay here! Valldemossa is unbelievably charming, and we were within easy walking distance to everything in town here. Patricia’s lovely property had everything we needed, and very comfortably accommodated our family of four. We enjoyed the well appointed kitchen, the multiple dining and living areas, the outdoor patio, and the cozy and cool downstairs living room. We were they during a heatwave in June, and the upstairs did get warm - but the fans in every room did help. Patricia was also easy to communicate with and incorporated thoughtful touches, such as a bottle of wine in the fridge and leaving out games for the kids. Overall we had an amazing week here and would love to return someday!
Lovely property has everything you need and more. The only negative is the workmen nearby who started drilling and banging at 8:00am. Didn’t matter too much to us as we had friends in another villa to spend the day but if you want to stay there all day would be very noisy during the work week. Not the fault of the property or owner but would maybe find out how long it is due to take to warn future guests.

Dear Alison,
We are very sorry about this negative point of your stay.
None of our previous guests had mentioned anything, we are not aware of any noise around the neighbourhood at the moment. I wish you had told us this was going on during your stay.
I could have come to Valldemossa one morning and spoken to the workmen. I will find out who is doing it. We apologise about the inconvenience.
Thank you so much for taking such a great care of our home, which was spotless when you left and we hope to see you next time you are in Mallorca.
Our best regards,
Patricia & Familia
The house more than exceeded our expectations. Here’s everything we loved:1. Valldemossa is a BEAUTIFUL town. So much charm, character and warmth. It has preserved its essence as a quaint community. And it’s only a 20 minute drive from Palma. We highly recommend exploring the town and eating in Can Reul, Can Uetam, and Es Taller, just to name a few. 2. The house is truly phenomenal. It is beautifully designed, well equipped, and cozy for a family and /or friends retreat. Kitchen is full size and stocked with essentials, including a dishwasher which would be very convenient if we didn’t make the most of the fantastic eats in Valldemossa. We had no issue finding parking nearby. 3. Patricia is FANTASTIC at communication. From booking through checkout, she made us feel secure that she was a text away. Just as important, Patricia is a LOCAL host, unlike many other rentals which are foreign corporates. And you can tell that’s the case by the quality of the house, the attention to her guests, and the overall experience. When (not if) we come back to Mallorca, this will surely be our place to stay!
This is such a wonderful accommodation — beautiful blend of old & new, charming street in a magical location. Plenty of room for our family to spread out, comfortable beds, incredibly well-stocked kitchen. Loved everything about it. Patricia was a most kind, responsive and helpful host. I believe this was my favourite travel accommodation ever!
Aufmerksam!
Wir würden jederzeit wieder in dieses Haus
Vielen lieben Dank für den schönen Urlaub
The property was charming, and the management was attentive and caring. We are a family with two little kids and an au pair, and the home was an excellent fit for us.
We genuinely felt like we were at home!
Patricia home was wonderful. There was two couples traveling together. Had lots of room. Each couple had our own space. Had everything and more in the kitchen. The outside space was great. We were able to eat out there, and sit out there in the evening. Everything was spotless. Would definitely come and stay again.
In our second week the weather became cool and windy with some rain. So we enjoyed it all the more to be in this wonderful "shelter": warm, well-equipped, tastefully furnished and decorated and comfortable - it couldn't have been better. Nice contact with Patricia via WhatsApp. Read all the other positive comments - all true!
Patricia is a wonderful host and took care of a perfect check-in and check-out.
The house has a beautiful interior to offer, has all equipment which is needed, and a perfect location. We would love to come back at some point!
Really nice and caring contact, very neat house downtown (hint: parking 5 min away), cool location. House just like in the pictures. Cozy bed sheets, everything clean, good houshold and cooking equipment.
With little few words: We found everything PERFECT and think it is a WONDERFUL place especially outside the summer season. We try to come again.

I am Brazilian, and I love to travel, meet new people and know about their stories. My husband and I travelled around the world working on boats. We decided to have a family and settle down in Mallorca. We love this special Island, which we call it home! I am fascinated about Languages, Art History, Nature and Yoga, including reading and trying new foods. I consider myself a happy person and I give value to the simple things in life, my family and friends. I´ve always enjoyed hosting people in my own house, and I find a great pleasure to make my guests feel at home!
