A unique setting on one of the higher parts of the mountain overlooking the heritage village of Valldemossa, very peaceful and set on large grounds, with a large swimming pool and solarium area, as well as BBQ area, and various 'ambiances' around the house, outdoor games area, outdoor shower facilities, surrounded by nature, orange trees, olives, oaks and pine trees. An ideal retreat to relax in style and really enjoy the Rustic Mallorca. Only a 10 minute delightful walk into the enchanted village of Valldemossa, which offers a most enjoyable boutique shopping, gastronomic and cultural experience. Mountain walkers, photographers, painters, musicians and hikers really enjoy this experience.

We had such a wonderful time staying in this beautiful villa above the picturesque town of Valdemossa. In fact, I think it was the best villa we have ever stayed in: great location, clean and well equiped, fab pool and garden area, stunning view and finally excellent information and attention from othe owner/host Mateius! The facilities and layout of the villa was idealy for our family of x5 - two adults and three teenage daughters as there was so much space to relax and unwid in but also great areas to play games and eat together! We will definitely be booking to come and stay again. Thank you sp much for a brilliant week!

Truly beautiful views, tranquil and spacious. Our little family took this villa for a week at the end of June and absolutely loved our time there. It was so peaceful and had such beautiful views over Valldemossa that we barely left, we just enjoyed relaxing, taking care of our little baby and listening to the calming songs of the birds and insects. The pool is big enough to swim properly and the house is spacious, well laid out and well equipped. Adam, the host, is a joyful, kind, welcoming and thoroughly lovely person, we enjoyed the opportunity to meet with him and speak with him. We will return!

Valldemossa hillside villa

This property was a little slice of peace and tranquility located in the hills of valldemossa. Need to be prepared for a steep drive and a 20 minute hilly walk into town but well worth it. Adam is very hospitable and helpful with suggestions. We would recommend Es Taller for dinner. Breathtaking view of the mountains and town with beautiful gardens full of fresh lemons. Easy drive to the airport and eastern side of the island.

Magical Place

From the second you lay eyes on this Finca, you fall in love. The property, the view, the perfect facilities, and everything around it are just wonderful. Adam’s a great host, a genuinely lovely bloke and understands what makes a great holiday. The area around the property is beautiful and although busy with tourists, you’re far away enough to enjoy the beauty they’re all trying to enjoy. We loved it and 100% will be coming back. Can't Beat the Views

Fabulous location and property! Simply dreamy. Very gracious host who went above and beyond to meet all our needs. Please check your price as is different for main house only or both main house and guest house together, this is something I was not aware of until our number of guests changed at the last minute. This property is up a pretty steep hill, which creates the beautiful view, but keep that in mind for your car rental. Really fell in love with Poppy the outdoor cat and the town of Valldemossa is so beautiful. Highly recommend this property!

A delightful week at S’escultor

A wonderful welcome from Adam who is the consummate host. The house is in a lovely peaceful location and is beautifully appointed and well equipped. We threw Adam a couple of curve balls during our stay and he dealt speedily with everything. Road to and from village is steep but perfectly do-able on foot - reward yourself with a coffee or aperitif at either end! We had not sussed that the bathroom between the two large bedrooms was a Jack-and-Jill arrangement, but one couple just used the other bathroom downstairs. Spacious, calm and welcoming - we hope to be back.

Great and quiet location with an amazing view

We enjoyed 8 days with our 2 kids in this beautiful location. It was a warm season and we loved the big pool with the slide, the beer dispenser and the sun beds in the natural shade. It is really a great spot and Adam welcomed us in a very nice way and helped us quickly when there were any problems or questions. Although it wasn't a problem for us, we would still like to mention that things start to get a bit old (e.g. one sun bed was broken and the mattrass in the main bedroom was way too soft for us and feels very much laid out). We can still highly recommend this place when you are looking for a true hide-away in the mountains far away from mass tourism but still only 3 minutes by car and 5 minutes by foot to the beautiflul centre of Valldemossa.

Ca' S'Escultor is absolutely perfect in every way.It is impossible to describe the beauty of the place. The views are incredible. The house and grounds are the epitome of 'Rustic Chic'. I would absolutely recommend this place for a holiday.We would love to return to Ca'S'Escultor one day.The property is even more stunning than it looks in the photos and exceeded our expectations in every way.Everything about the house and grounds is Five Star. The pool is by far the best pool I have ever been in.We had the best week ever and enjoyed playing table tennis and boules. Valdemossa is a very pretty town, with lovely restaurants and shops. We walked there from the house as we didn't hire a car.The best bit though is Adam the owner, he went above and beyond to make our stay special, we really appreciated it. Adam is a very kind, warm, friendly and generous host. The world needs more Adams!!

Totally agree with the previous reviews - from the moment you arrive at Ca S'Escultor you're struck by the sheer beauty of the location and stunning views. The house is gorgeous and clean, with everything you need for a comfortable and fun stay. And then there's Adam, a phenomenal host - kind, helpful and very easy going. He has a great understanding of the elements needed to have a good holiday and went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed ourselves. If you get the chance to go on Adam's boat, take it. It's a wonderful way to see the island and a memorable day out. We cannot recommend Ca S'Escultor more highly. Thanks Adam.

Incredible location and atmosphere

We had an incredible stay. To start the location is fantastic and you look over the town of Valldemossa. You can walk to town whenever you like but still have privacy from the day trippers. We spent our days exploring the Tramauntana mountains hiking and visiting the towns and sea coves. Then we would come back to the well equipped kitchen and cook dinner and hang out at the pool. There is also a BBQ and outdoor beer tap. We also used the billiards table and played table tennis and bacci. The outdoor shower with hot water is a nice addition. Every detail of this property is well thought out. The air conditioning was also appreciated. It was a once in a lifetime stay.

Stunning house in a breathtaking location

This house was absolutely perfect for our family and we would go back in a heartbeat. The location was incredible with the most stunning view - the light on the hills and the view of Valldemossa was beautiful day and night. There were so many spaces to enjoy in the house and garden and the pool terrace was huge and super comfortable. The house was perfectly equipped with thoughtful and fun touches throughout. Everything and more that you could need for a fun holiday. It’s a brilliant base to explore the West coast and a short drive to Palma where we went sight seeing and to the supermarket. Valldemossa is a beautiful10-15 minute walk. The supermarket there was much better than I expected so you could easily get everything you needed there. It’s a steep area so the drive to the house takes some getting used to but Adam met us so it was easy to find and well worth it for the incredible views. (One thing to note - Apple and Google maps both routed us through the centre of Valdemossa which is pedestrianised so I am expecting a ticket from the traffic cameras - be warned!) Adam was an exceptionally welcoming, warm and helpful host and it was a very special place. Highly recommended.

Cette propriété n'est pas une simple maison de vacances, mais une maison où rien ne manque et où l'on se sent comme chez soi.Tout a été pensé dans les moindres détails par Adam le propriétaire. C'est un hôte exceptionnel, d'une immense gentilesse, très attentionné et très réactif pour régler le moindre problème. La vue depuis la maison est juste magnifique !Le confort intérieur est au top: il y a TOUT !! Nous reviendrons à un moment où le temps nous permettra de profiter de la magnifique piscine et de tous les aménagements exterieurs (salons de jardin, four à pizza, barbecue...). Une villa de rêve nichée dans les oliviers, orangers et citronniers ! Si vous aimez la nature, les lieux authentiques, alors n'hésitez pas .

Ich bin mit meinen zwei Kindern (9 Jahre) allein gereist. Mallorca in der Hochsaison. Das Haus war unser kleines Paradies. Mitten am Hang mit Blick auf Valldemossa konnten wir uns gut erholen. Man vergisst hier den Massentourismus. Es ist im Haus und im Garten nicht alles perfekt. Aber man hat das Gefühl hier in einem Zuhause zu sein und nicht in einer sterilen Ferienwohnung! Adam, der Gastgeber ist ein sehr zugewandter und bemühter Gastgeber. Ein sehr fröhlicher Mensch, den man gerne kennenlernt. Zusammengefasst: wir haben hier fantastische 10 Tage verbracht! Absolut empfehlenswert.

We left our hearts in Ca S'Escultor...

WARNING: You will lose a piece of your heart to this enchanted Mallorcan mountain villa and its sweet, precious Poppy (the grand dame 20-year-old kitty who shared her home with us.) My husband + I, and our three kids ages 20, 18 and 16, spent four days day-tripping around the island and enjoying every inch of Ca S’Escultor. Here is our report: PERFECT location for easy trips to surrounding UNESCO villages and a quick zip down the "highway" to Palma. We did it all, dear reader. Valldemossa is the undisputed gem of the Tramuntana mountains. Chic restaurants + traditional bakeries, shops featuring Mallorcan pearls + local fabrics, winding cobbled streets + windows decorated with blooming window boxes, a Chopin museum culture-fix and fabulous centrally located medieval cathedral. Savvy Vrbo explorers will agree: an engaged host who wants guests to fall as hard for their little part of the world as they have is the difference between a great trip and an *unforgettable life experience.* Meet Adam, your joyful host! We arrived late at night and discovered Adam had opened the house prior to meeting up with us. Candles glowed on the fireplace mantle, cafe lights twinkled in the trees around the pool + a bottle of Mallorcan wine stood ready to toast to our adventures ahead, Adam's warmth and energy is contagious! We're not native Spanish speakers and found it incredibly comforting to know Adam was there when we needed him - he promptly replied to Whatsapp messages day + night, and assisted us with tricky restaurant resos and the island's unique taxi system. Discerning travelers will appreciate that everything is impeccably clean and every creature comfort provided for in this mountaintop family home. We loved experiencing an authentic sense of place - albeit a luxurious one - amidst the home’s traditional Mallorcan design replete with exposed beams, tiled floors + scrubbed farm table. Ca S’Escultor is lush with mountain trees + flowers, and feels private and secluded. Every window looks out upon a fairytale view of the hillside village of Valldemossa in the distance. Amenities galore! Our boys sunned in the pool while Poppy napped nearby in the shade of a terracotta pot spilling over with fat geraniums. My daughter and I decamped with books on chaise lounges under palm umbrellas that fluttered + made swishing noises in the breeze. My husband loved the cold local beer on tap poolside! When you visit, please love on Poppy + tell Adam we'll be back!

Fantastic property - hope to stay again one day

We are back from a wonderful stay at Ca S'Escultor which we will remember forever - it is one of those special places that stays with you. The other reviewers have said it all and having stayed now, I agree with what they have said, so I won't rehash. Special memories will include the view (10/10 incredible), the peace and privacy, picking fresh lemons, the beer tap (yes your own private beer tap serving you San Miguel), table tennis, Poppy, the hammocks, the beautiful town of Valldemossa - I could go on for a lot longer. Adam is a fantastic host as others have said. He's also very responsive if you have any questions. Would I stay again? Definitely!!

Bar none the best vacation experience of our lives

I don’t even know where to begin to explain how the listing description and the pictures do not do this place the justice it deserves. Probably the most friendly and charming host of property I’ve ever met. Adam was more than accommodating and really made us feel like he cared about us enjoying our time. So many things went into the design and comfort engineering of this place, it’s unreal! Heated floors, fireplaces throughout house, authentic Spanish feel, custom made and antique local furniture, the location being in the best spot in all of Mallorca, and absolute privacy. We hiked up to the rear mountain the property sits on and enjoyed the views, walked to the local town, and had more than enough room for all of us to enjoy ourselves in comfort. Well equipped kitchen and house with an experience that won’t be paralleled by any other trip. I’m coming back to rent for a week for sure! Thanks for everything Adam- The house and views are majestic!

After living around the world in Venezuela, Thailand, Canary Islands, Cerdenya, San Diego... all of them most beautiful and interesting destinations, due to my business in the Hotel Industry, I came back to this unique and versatile Island of Mallorca, where I now have my home, and which I consider one of the most enchanting locations to live and holiday on ever. I chose the village of Valldemossa due to it's scenary and because it is set in a valley between gorgeous mountains and surrounded by olive, almond, pine and cherry trees, and as landmarks the unique Cartuja Monastry of Valldemossa, as well as the Church of Saint Bartolome. The village is like a magnet and has attracted personalities from all around the world for decades, Frederic Chopin, George Sand, the Archiduke Luis Salvador.

Why they chose this property

The property is set on a mountain with 3 hectares (over 6 acres) of land, surrounded by orange,olive and pine trees.The views from the solarium, terraces and pool areas are unique, looking over the valley on to the monastery and village, it is the highest house located on the mountain, hence offering absolute privacy. One really feels and lives the Mediterranean flavour here. The sounds of the birds and the sites of the donkeys peacefully pasturing around the mountain, under the blue skies and beautiful green vegetation make the place a wonderful retreat from our daily intense rhythms of life. As you access the property through a gated entrance one reaches a private car parking for 5 cars and then up to the rustic house, terraces and swimming pool area. Car rental is recommended, and the house is a 10 minute most attractive walk to the Village, offering splendid cafeterias, day bars and restaurants, as well as local bakeries, grocery shops and a Sunday Market. One can easily travel to the stunning villages of Deiá, Lluch Alcari, and Soller, bordering the Northwestern Coast of the Island, in 20 minutes one can be swimming & snorkeling in the Port of Valldemossa or the Cala of Deiá. Palma is 20 minutes by car, and from there very easy access to other beach areas around the Island, this area is ideal for walkers, hikers, bird watchers and people that enjoy the nature.The cultural and gastronomic options of the village are unique!
