Very fun and relaxing weekend with college roommates at the beautiful lake. Beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious, kitchen had everything needed. And we got to watch WMU win National Championship! Go Broncos! Thank you for everything!
Everything was great. The house was perfect for a girl’s weekend, plenty of space. The location was fantastic. The views around the house looking out toward the lake were stunning, especially in the morning and evenings when the sandhill cranes were out in the back yard. Even though the weather was cold and the lake was frozen, there was plenty to do. We will definitely consider rebooking in the summertime. Overall, we had a great time and the house worked perfectly for our trip.
This place was even better than we'd anticipated, lots of space, plenty of linens and towels, very clean. It was a perfect location for everything we wanted to do and we are definitely planning to stay here again.
Besides the great weather for snowboarding, the home and space were immaculate. There was ample space for the 7 of us and the views of the lake were quite a highlight when waking up!! Will definitely be looking to stay here again when back in the area.
Although we were there to work, we did not make use of the lake, though we did sit outside. Our host was very understanding about our need to work and was generous in refunding some of the fee when the work crew he had was fairly disruptive. Rooms were comfortable
We stayed at the Vacation at the Lake home for 8 days. It was a wonderful. The neighborhood is great. The home is just a few minutes from shopping, and is right between Brighton and Howell, two of the nicest towns in Michigan.
The beds were comfortable. The home was very clean. It is perfectly laid out so that you can have wonderful family dinners and game nights. The lake views are beautiful.
The host is great, and I would definitely stay here again.
Been staying at this house for the last few years and have always had a great experience. Shane our host is always very accommodating. Would highly recommend this staying at this beautiful house.
We came in on Friday afternoon. The stay was nice the property was clean. Went to Michigan game on Saturday. Came back to house and chilled. I think the only thing house really needs is a second shower in it. Other than that enjoyed the property
We loved having the bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Compared to most rental houses, there was plenty of seating available in the living area and we had the best morning coffee out on the patio facing the lake. The beds were comfortable and the lake was surprisingly quiet. Although this was near the end of September, so mid summer might be a different story. The kids loved the kayaks!
This house met all our needs - and exceeded them in most cases. We spent hours out in the kayaks exploring this wonderful lake.
The house has a ton of space. The grounds are meticulously cared for. The neighborhood is delightful. It was a great few days of vacation.
And our chat with the owner was a delight.
We will look for an opportunity to return.
Thank you for a great few days!
Kids loved little beach and fishing off the dock with great success. Privacy was great. Loved the kayaks, lawn chairs and fire pit.
Some things were outdated or needed repair, but owner was responsive to suggestions. Strong WiFi and xfinity tv made our evenings fun! Supplying towels, linens and washer/dryer were appreciated. We’d come back again.
View is beautiful and description is pretty accurate. Home is dated with paint chips, floors that creek, and old furnishings... However, if you're going to relax and enjoy family time none of those things really matter. Owner was very responsive. The only really big thing for us was I asked the owner prior to booking if our boat would work at his dock (21ft Bayliner Deck boat) to which he said yes. I booked it and we towed our boat all the way there at 9 mpg to find out that it wouldn't. The public launch isn't even on this lake nor would a medium size boat work on the dirt launch. The owner did volunteer to give me back part of my payment if I left by 4pm. Considering our children had traveled there and dinner was going, leaving wasn't an option. His verbal apology didn't sound sincere to any of us, but I guess he made the sale he wanted. A very small refund for the misinformation he provided would have made us feel better about the situation. All in all, we made the best out of the situation as the boat sat parked all weekend. Towels, dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher tablets, paper towels, dishes all provided which was appreciated.
Excellent property in a fantastic location! House is much bigger then the pictures. Very clean, plenty of extra towels and bedding. Area and lake was very quiet.
Perfect spot for a boys weekend. So much space, well equipped, and very clean. The lake was beautiful and it was so nice to spend time in the backyard on the deck or at the fire pit. The owner was very communicative and helpful.
My family stayed here for our daughter's graduation from Michigan. The view of the lake is gorgeous. We had space to spread out. The boys enjoyed the yard. The host responded quickly to texts. A+
