Walk to Town from Beautiful Cottage w/ Guest House & A/C 3bed/3bath!

Welcome to our family's Nantucket Cottage and adjacent Guest House in Nantucket's flag-spangled Historic District. The property is a short walk to town, the harbor, and Children's Beach.
No car needed! But if you would like to bring your car, we have parking for one car.
The property contains both a main house and a separate guest house, making it a perfect get-away for couples traveling together or for families traveling with friends, grandparents or a nanny.

The main house features an open floor plan with cathedral ceilings, large beams and a 1940s red-brick-fireplace. Surrounded by large windows, the dining room is bright and airy -- a perfect spot to have breakfast and make plans for a day of sightseeing, sailing, and cycling around the island.

We have installed beautiful white custom Bali 2" Cordless Pleated Shades with Light Diffusing Privacy Liners on ALL windows in the main house.

The kitchen has custom cabinets, Corian countertops, stainless steel appliances, and an eat-in breakfast bar. Together with the 5-Burner grill on the patio, the kitchen provides you with everything you need to cook and serve the perfect backyard family BBQ. The dining table seats 6. The living room boasts a comfortable sofa and a 48" SMART TV. You will also find a front-load washer and dryer.

The master bedroom has a Queen bed with en suite bathroom and 32" SMART TV; the second bedroom has a QUEEN bed with built-in 6 drawer dresser. All told, the main house sleeps four.

The Guest House is immediately adjacent to the main house. It sleeps two and has been completely refurbished. It has a QUEEN bed, a 40" SMART TV, a private bathroom and a kitchenette. Custom Bali 2" pleated shades on all windows. A small bluestone patio is located directly behind the guest house .

The large backyard patio is surrounded by tall hedges and gorgeous shade trees. Recently, we added a new 5-Burner BBQ, a new patio dining table with seating for 6, and a new seating area.

Nantucket is beautiful in the summer and the days are warm. To keep you cool, we've installed a Mini-Split Air Conditioning system in both the main house and guest house.

The entire property is well-appointed with crisp white cotton sheets, white fluffy bath towels, kitchen ware, utensils, glasses, dishes, and everything else you would need to feel at home on the island. All sheets and towels are professionally cleaned. Our property manager lives just a mile away, so if you need anything, he can be there in a matter of minutes. This house is great for families, couples, artists, writers, boaters, beach-lovers, and exhausted city-dwellers looking to relax.

This is our third time staying at this wonderful property. Such a lovely spot close enough to walk to town, but far enough away to be relaxing. The backyard is lovely and there are ample bathrooms to make guests and teenagers happy!

The house is beautiful and well-stocked. The host is extremely gracious & attentive. There is a new washer/dryer and a small dishwasher. It is a short walk to town. The guest house was especially lovely. The house is located on a busy thoroughfare and we had loud neighbors who were in close proximity, so our stay was not as peaceful as we had hoped.

Summer Fun

We've been going to Nantucket for years and loved staying at 17 Quaker. It was a great location to town and easy to get to the beaches, grocery store, the farm, etc. We'd love to stay there again.

Wonderful Place in Nantucket!

My friends and I stayed at this house for a wedding and it was amazing. Michelle, the owner, was wonderful and accommodating. This place has everything you need and close to downtown. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

We had a great stay at this property. We were a bit worried as it’s on a busy street but was not bothered by it at all. We were able to walk down to Main Street and bike to many beaches. Just Perfect!

Had a wonderful family vacation at 17 Quaker Road! The house was immaculate and cozy. Everything one needed to experience Nantucket and more was readily available. Bonus outdoor space with seating and dining areas and grill. Great communication with host, lots of island information, simple instructions for arrival and departure. Highly recommend these accommodations.

Wonderful property for 3 couples, 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, comfortable common area with kitchen and dining. Nicely decorated & very clean. Private backyard with seating which allowed for easy bike storage. Great location for biking into town, about a 20 min casual walk into town.

We had a wonderful time as a family in this beautiful home. The main house is lovely and the guest house is adorable. This enjoyable home is stocked with everything you could possibly need. It is a very comfortable place to come back to after a great day at the beach. I have rented a lot of places and Michele as a host and the caretaker Mike were some of the nicest people I have come across.

AMAZING!

From the initial interaction with the owner Michele to our final day in the house, the experience was top-notch. Michele made sure our visit to Nantucket was amazing! She gave us great recommendations and checked in on a regular basis to ensure we were enjoying our stay. Michele also gave us a gift upon arrival - a bag and blanket with ACK on it (Nantucket's airport code) and a lovely bottle of Rose. We have been renting houses for a longtime all over the US and no one has ever done this. Very classy! The house itself is fantastic. It is great for families. The main house is very comfortable and has everything you need. The guest house is adorable and has a separate kitchen which was very convenient. The back patio is huge and very private. There is also plenty of space for kids to play in the yard. The house is also in a great location - we can easily walk to town and had access several beaches. The beaches Michele recommended were great. We loved 40th pole but you need a 4WD vehicle. When on Nantucket again, we will definitely stay at 17 Quaker!

We had a wonderful time! The place was beautiful and exactly as described. Communication was easy, and the location was excellent. We could walk and bike to everything with ease - no car needed, as we only brought our bikes. It’s located on a more active road (relatively speaking, for Nantucket ), but it wasn’t disruptive at all. We especially enjoyed being close to the bike paths and having the option to walk into town. Highly recommend!

Destination Wedding

Great for us as we came and went to all the wedding events while our adult daughter and our grandkids enjoyed the house, the backyard and the ( easy peasy) walks into town. How nice to have a bathroom for every bedroom— not often available. The separate ( but arm’s distance away) cottage allowed the kids to do their own thing while the adults had quiet space to read and relax.

Quintessential Nantucket

Everything was wonderful! Host went above and beyond for us and our group. She was very helpful and generous! We enjoyed our welcome wine as well as all that she did for us. We had no issues during our stay and everything went very smoothly. The linens were great! The decor was adorable and the kitchens were well stocked. The only detail we would pass on to future guests is that it is not super close to downtown. It was a lovely walk when it wasn't raining! Not in the rain, with luggage! It is about a 15-20 min. walk. Also, the pictures don't show that the cottage is on a busy street. There is some road noise, it wasn't bad but it could be during the summer months. Overall, it was well priced for our sized group and we would recommend it to others. Thank you again for your hospitality Michelle, you were wonderful! Kristyn

The Sweetest Treat

On island for a wedding in September, unfortunately there was a tropical storm raining out the entire 3 day weekend. After some horrifying travel experiences, Michelle’s home was a SWEET and comfortable reprieve and charming home for us all to take comfort in. Michelle was so touching and thoughtful, leaving Nantucket themed gifts, a beautifully laid out closet and unpacking situation which made getting ready with 5 girls a dream, and she is the MOST responsive and attentive host, I will be booking this place again!!!!! Everything feels new and carefully looked after, the guest house was perfect for our pregnant couple, and I am just sad we couldn’t utilize the cute yard with the rain. But Michelle left so many amazing Nantucket suggestions in her guest book, thank you SO much!!!!
