“The Barn” is our Gite Rental with Pool - Nearest City is Saumur

Le Tilleul Barn is a well equipped self catering Gite set in the Loire Valley just South of Saumur (20Kms) and in the small Hamlet of Chambernou in Saint-Macaire-du-Bois. It has its own tranquil private gardens that have a magnificent view of open countryside. It is child friendly for families but can also accommodate up to 6 Adults. We are within easy reach of Le-Puy-Notre-Dame, Montreuil-Bellay and Doue-la-Fontaine plus there are many other interesting places to visit which have beautiful Chateauxs and lots of history. There is a wine domain 5 minutes walking distance from the property for excellent local wines.

Pool Installation 10 x 4 metres (Shared with Owners). Sun Loungers, Table & Chairs are available.

There is a double bedroom with a large en-suite shower room on the ground floor with french doors leading to the garden. Upstairs you will find a large double room with a four poster bed and a vaulted beamed chapel ceiling with windows on three sides to capture the countryside views. Plus another twin bedded room with countryside views. We also have 2 x Z-Beds available if a parent wants to have a child in the same room as themselves. There is another refitted family shower room and separate toilet. Each bedroom is naturally bright and airy. Downstairs you will find a Lounge and Kitchen/Dining area which comes fully equipped with everything you could wish for to make a very pleasant stress free holiday plus a wood burning stove for those cooler evenings. From the Lounge there are French doors which open out onto the sunny private garden where we provide a BBQ, Garden Table & Chairs and Umbrella for alfresco outdoor eating. All rooms have electric heaters as well as the wood burner. In cooler months a small charge will be made for any electricity used as the Barn has its own meter. There is a large TV with UK Freeview channels. We also have bicycles that can be used for leisurely rides around the stunning local countryside & vineyards which are within walking distance if you wish to purchase and sample some very nice local wines. You are in an area where there are many Domains for Wine Tasting and Tours are available.

We are British owners who live in the Farmhouse which is completely separate to the rented Gites and are here if you need any help or advice but will not interfere if you prefer to do your own exploring.
