Carlsbad Beach Cottage - 1/2 block to Beach

This Beach Cottage has been completely remodeled. It is perfect for couples, small families and those vacationing alone. It is very comfortable, stylish and cozy with two bedrooms and one bath sleeps up to 5.

It is located in a quiet area and just steps to a beautiful sandy beach. From the cottage it is an easy walk along the beach into the center of the Village with wonderful restaurants, shops and entertainment.

For young children we are a short distance to Legoland. Carlsbad is one of the best rated family beaches in the U.S.A. and has easy access to all activities in Southern California.

The master bedroom has a queen bed. Most nights you can hear the surf at night from the master bedroom. The other bedroom has a full and a twin in a bunk arrangement.

The kitchen has been totally redone with custom granite countertops, beadboard cabinets and new flooring. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher, disposal and build in microwave.

There is a patio and sun deck area with barbecue and outdoor dining.

The house is equipped with two flat screen TVs. A DVD and High Speed WiFi Internet connection are also included. Also there is a separate laundry room just for your exclusive use. Parking is off-street.

All kitchen items, towels, linens, beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards are provided. A baby Pac-n-Play is available if needed.

A tradition in the village is to gather at the beach to watch the sunset and look for the Green Flash.

This home is located in a residential neighborhood and we must respect our neighbors. We love children.

This is a great place to stay. Tight quarters but very well maintained and we really enjoyed the laundry accommodations as well as the beach gear (chairs, wagon, umbrellas, etc.). It’s a 3 min walk to the beach and Carlsbad is now my favorite San Diego beach town.

The property was nice and clean. Everything worked properly and only a short walk to the beach. The host, Bob, was great at communicating before hand and was very nice when we arrived. I highly recommend this property.

Best weekend!

We had the most lovely weekend! The cottage is perfect. Quiet yet close to everything. We had meals outside and walked to the beach every day. The cottageś beds were super comfy and the linens were super nice. The kitchen is perfectly outfitted. Trips to the beach with beach chairs and towels and even games. Thank you Bob!

Our family came to celebrate my sons 8th birthday with some time at the beach and legoland. This home was exactly the right location, just enough room for all of us, and walking distance to the beach and amazing restaurants! Will definitely stay again

Lovely cottage behind the owners home. Perfect for being close to the beach. My family and I had a very nice time. Typo on the amenities there is no a/c as listed. Can get a little warm and noisy when sleeping with the windows open.

Have used VRBO properties many many times before ..first property owner to provide those little things you might have forgotten such as a bar of soap, paper towels, etc. very thoughtful and much appreciated. We loved having the five minute walk to the beach. Perfect size for family of four.

Super location. Everything you need.

Bob and Sue have stocked this place with everything you need. Washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher, cable TV, wifi, full size fridge and plenty of fresh linens. The location is fantastic; walk to beach or downtown. Quaint, quiet location for small family or 2-3 people.

Perfect location; great for kids

We loved the low key feel of Carlsbad and this little beach house. The location was great for what we needed- a couple days at the beach, a day at Legoland, and a day in SD at the zoo. We had our two little ones with us and recommend this house for a family. Our kids are 6 and 3 and they loved the bunkbeds and being 250ft from such a great beach made getting back and forth a breeze. The house was nicely equipped and had lots of beach toys and chairs. The beach is really wonderful and the access is just a short walk from the house. The beach is huge, clean, and has a bathroom and beach shower. A decent Italian restaurant is around the corner and a drive to downtown Carlsbad was less than 5 minutes, Catholic Church was also about 5 min away, as was a nice grocery. We'd love to come back!

Cute Cottage near the Ocean

There are so many wonderful things about this cottage by the ocean. The area is quiet and doesn't feel touristy, the cottage is well appointed, beautifully decorated and felt very much like home during our stay. The cool ocean breeze was such a welcome relief from the oppressive heat we have been experiencing at home. The location is superb, within easy walking distance of the beach, you can even see the ocean from the front. Because of the location we ended up spending a great deal of time at the beach instead of hitting tourist destinations. Our boys (8 and 14)loved building sand castles, splashing about in the ocean and by the end of our stay all of us were boogie boarding. The landlords were very kind and helpful, providing much information on the area. I wish we were still there!
