About this property
Feel Relaxed, Right On the Lake! Fall '26 and 2027 Booking!
The Jepsen Heritage Cottage, is located off State Rt. 54A at (formerly 42) 420 Crescent Beach Dr, at the northern end of the West branch of Keuka Lake about 1.5 miles from Branchport and 10 miles from Penn Yan. It is in a quiet family community with both seasonal cottages and year-round homes. Guests of the cottage will enjoy an unobstructed, picturesque view of the western branch of Keuka Lake from a 2012 rebuilt enclosed porch. This includes a view of Bluff Point and the eastern branch which is nearly 10 miles away. 2017 brought a rebuild of the entrance porch and bathroom areas.
The cottage is situated on a level location from the 4 car parking area on the north, to the cottage, and then gently slopes to the water's edge. There are two small steps to the north entrance and a 2 step entrance to a newly constructed outside deck, on the the west. The 55 - foot frontage is a fine-pebble beach which provides easy access to shallow water. This area is perfect for families who desire wading or swimming, or just relaxing with a good book. The water depth increases very gradually, from approximately 24" at the end of the dock to 4' deep at 130 feet from shore. The buoys mark the drop off to the deeper waters of the lake and are a favorite spot for fishermen from around the world. Our 80' dock includes a 160' deck with peaceful glider and Adirondack chairs, for a relaxing view of the entire west branch of Keuka Lake. Inside the buoys is a no-wake zone, giving safe swimming and recreation for families. Previous guest's comments after staying at the Jepsen Heritage. 'The cottage is so cozy and well equipped!' We loved our stay in the cottage right on the water. So peaceful and a perfect get a way for my husband and I. Definitely recommend sleeping in the room overlooking the water. A perfect way to wake up. Easy to cleanup and loved the historical aspect. Would definitely recommend!
This home was just right for us, it was clean and very nicely decorated. The location was great and the owners were very easy to deal with and very easy to get a hold of.We would definitely stay here again.
The cottage is as described right near the lake with a beautiful view. Very clean and comfortable inside and out. Lake area was a bit seaweedy but we went swimming at a nearby park. Great fireworks show July 4. Neighbors very nice and we enjoyed our stay very much. Thanks Chris and Joan!
Beautiful views, quiet setting, cozy house on the water. This is the perfect place for a quiet escape to recharge, reconnect and just enjoy the moment. Highly recommend this home for your next lake visit.
Very nice property. Great views. Friendly neighbors. We enjoyed feeding the resident ducks. At night we could relax to the sound of the water lapping at the shore.
The hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable with the area, the location was great and we were able to enjoy more of the surrounding lakes, definitely relaxing and peaceful, it had cottage charm and just enough room for 5
The property was beautiful, the view was amazing and the neighbors were very nice and helpful. It is an excellent location for kayaking, checking out the local wineries or just relaxing by the water
Beautiful spot! The cottage was simple and quaint. The hosts were proactive communicators. The view from the dock was fabulous. We hope to visit again.
We have never stayed so close to the waters edge anywhere else! The sunporch was perfect for chilly weather lake views complete with bed, table, chairs & a couch too!
This summer home is located close to the lake shore and it is level. It is a very warm, comfortable and inviting atmosphere. It was peaceful and just what we needed.
We would definitely stay there again!

We are happy when we hear our guests have a warm, comfortable stay and look forward to a return visit!
Everything was great! with the exception of the parking for two full size trucks with 21-foot bass boats. There's enough space, just difficult to turn on the narrow street.
Everything was as I hoped. The house feels old fashioned, but with a new kitchen and bathroom and great accessibility for my sister-in-law, who was recovering from hip surgery. Surprise bonuses were the super nice neighbors and the wildlife refuge adjacent to the neighborhood, that you could explore by boat or on foot.

About the host
Hosted by Chris and Joan Johnson
Chris and Joan Johnson, owners. Both educators for 60 years in Brockport , NY. Joan's parents purchased the family cottage in 1964, where family gathered every summer throughout her childhood. Once it was time to pass the cottage on she and her husband took over responsibility and ownership. In the last few years they have personally enjoyed renovating during school vacations to enhance, yet keep the charm of this lovely vacation home.
Why they chose this property
We were dedicated to keeping this property in the family after our father and mother purchased it in 1964. Many wonderful memories have been made there and many more are to come. Numbers of the same families remain neighbors and great friends from the past decades. It is our oasis, the place we long to be at as much as feasibly possible. For times we cannot be there ourselves, we love to offer it to other families to start to make similar memories of their own.
