Great vacation getaway one half block from Carlsbad Beach and a short walk to Carlsbad Village shops, restaurants and breweries / wineries. The Amtrak / Coaster is also convenient for direct access to the Del Mar Racetrack, Old Town, downtown San Diego and more. Easy access to north, south and east freeways. This lightly used owner's unit sleeps 5, is well decorated and comes with your own 1000 sq ft ocean view deck with gas fire pit, BBQ and tiki bar. This second floor unit is located in a well-maintained 4-unit building with onsite laundry, single car garage and off street parking. The second story unit is accessed by way of a single flight of stairs. As of 2023, the unit has new, larger and more quiet air conditioning unit to take the sweat off those hot and humid summer days. Kid-friendly amenities include a baby gate and pack-n-play. Garage has beach chairs, toys and wagon. A minimum 6-night stay is required to reduce the turnover. We keep coming back ! This is our second stay at this property, and it won't be our last. As a family with two teenagers, finding the right rental is everything, and this place checks every box. The beach is literally across the street, the charming Carlsbad Village is an easy walk, and there's no shortage of great spots to eat nearby.One of our favorite things about this unit is the private second-floor deck, it's not shared with any of the other units, so it truly feels like your own outdoor retreat. We’ve stayed at various VRBO places in Carlsbad over the last 20 years and this one is the best. Dennis had it very well stocked, the AC works great and he supplied good TP and paper towels! Most places skimp on that. The deck out front is fabulous with marvelous views of the ocean. Easy walk to the beach or into town. Communication with Dennis was easy and he was extremely responsive. We loved it and won’t stay anywhere else if it’s available when we come back.

Perfect Getaway!

Fantastic place for vacation

Dennis's apartment was perfect for our family vacation. We spent a lot of time on the huge deck watching sunsets and grilling. The property is in a great location close to restaurants, a fantastic beach right across the road and much needed air-conditioning that kept us cool during the recent heatwave. We would love to come back one day.

Vacation with brother & wife from Washington state

This was a great property/condo for our stay. We loved our very large deck from which we had a front row seat to view the Pacific Ocean. So happy our daughter in law found this place for us. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Wonderful place to stay!

Fantastic location for easy and close beach access, and walkable to Carlsbad Village. Patio deck provides a great view of the beach and plenty of seating options. Love that it’s in a quiet neighborhood as well. Beds were comfy, lots of towels for beach and in house use. Had beach chairs, umbrellas and a wagon. Well stocked kitchen too! Will be first option if we return to Carlsbad!

Wonderful again!

We have stayed at this property now a handful of times and have never been disappointed. Dennis is a wonderful host. The property is clean and has all of the necessary amenities that we look for in a vacation. The outside deck is a huge bonus for this property. We eat breakfast there and dinner there and read and stare at the ocean and have a wonderful relaxing experience.

We spent a week here and wished it was longer. So many great features. Spent lots of time on the spacious deck. Very clean inside and fully stocked. Seriously - anything you need is here. The beach chairs and umbrella made our day on the sand perfect. Communication with the host was excellent. The location is amazing! We walked to almost everything. We’ll book again first chance we get.
