We have made many changes and upgrades to our home, We now have a washer/dryer for your convenience.

For summer months we have a 10,000 BTU window air conditioner and a small window ac in the main bedroom.

Spotlessly, clean chalet in Eidelweiss Village, just minutes from Kancamagus Highway, Conway and North Conway. Our home might appear a little small from the outside, but our main level is an open concept where you can see from the deck to the dining room and kitchen.
Our wooded setting provides a peaceful, back-to-nature vacation. We are 1/4 mile from Middle Pea Pond (there are five in Eidelweiss). Little Pea pond and Middle Pea pond are connected and if you have a kayak or canoe you can paddle through both ponds. We do not provide kayaks. There is also a playground area near Little Pond and a basketball court by Middle Pond off Eidelweiss Dr. You can enjoy many year-round, outdoor activities in Mount Washington Valley. When you return after your day trip, you can relax around our approved fire pit. Guests must obtain a guest permit to use the fire pit or you will be fined by the Madison Police Department

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Please note that quiet time is between 10 pm and 9 am. We are guests in Eidelweiss and must be respectful of others who call it home.

Perfect for family stay

Our brother and his family have a house less than half a mile away. This property was perfect for my wife, adult son, and me while our younger kids stayed with their younger cousins right down the street. Perfect location for what we needed and the house was perfect. Very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice quiet property

This was a nice quiet property. We felt very comfortable the whole week and enjoyed the ponds that surrounded the property. We also were able to be about 20-30 minutes from everything we wanted to do (hike, restaurants, etc.). It requires a little more work than other properties (taking trash to the dump on weekends, bringing your own sheets, etc.) so those things just require a little more time to account for during your stay.

Hidden Gem!

What a wonderful house with a great location! There were several beaches in walking distance - the water and the beaches were so clean. Several nights we had a fire. It was quiet and the neighbors were all friendly. All the appliances were new and it was wonderful sitting on the deck in the morning with my coffee. Great experience!

The perfect get-away!!

Loved this chalet, so immaculate and cozy! It was perfect for our long weekend with our three grandkids. We had lots of living space on the main floor and it was ideal having all the bedrooms on the same level downstairs. The kids loved exploring the surrounding woods. Location was great for our visits to all the attractions in the area. (StoryLand, Lost River, Clarke's Trading Post and Whale's Tale) We would definitely go back!! Thanks, Gail!

Charming House

The house was charming, the host of accommodating to our reservation, but the number of things required to stay will make us move away from using VRBO. We pay so many fees, however the experience requires maintenance as if we own the property. We didn't get any linens (sheets or pillow cases), nor did we get any bathroom towels. I reached out to a number provided, but it was my mistake that I believe I texted a land line, as we realized we didn't have sheets until late in the evening and I didn't want to call. If I need to open up the house, and close it down, while also doing the dishes during a certain time, while emptying the dehumidifier, than I shouldn't pay a cleaning & convenience fee.

Clean and Nice Location

The chalet is in a great location. My family has been to this neighborhood before and it is great in winter and summer. The chalet was very clean when we arrived and it was very easy to open the house and check in. The long drive way provides some nice privacy. It snowed for 2 straight days and the plow man showed up 3 times which was awesome. Very nice sofas in the living room for relaxing and the open concept was great for us. However on the first morning we woke up to no hot water. I texted the owners and she quickly responded and sent a plumber over to make some fixes to the hot water heater. It was prompt but not optimal, I would double that the hot water heater has been replaced before I rent this home. Also the house was a little bit noisy. The fridge made noise when it ran, the dated dishwasher was extremely noisy and I’m not sure if it was the heat or something else but when it went off and on it was a bit noisy. The home still gets 4 out of 5 stars from my wife and I so the positives still outweigh the negatives but there is some room for improvement. PS: Kitchen did have everything we needed to cook and clean. TVs in all bedrooms was cool even though we only used the living room TV. We didn’t use the wood stove but it was nice, wish wood was provided. Overall a good stay and a cute chalet.

A true get away

the house is much bigger than it looks from the outside. The three bedrooms are very spacious and comfortably can sleep 8 guests. The main floor open living space was very spacious. We enjoyed eating lunch on the deck at the newer table and chair set. it's a half mile to the beach but an easy walk. Plenty of parking at the beach if you prefer to drive. There are plenty of things to do within a 15-30 minute drive, This was our second trip to this neighborhood and will definitely be back again.

The property is perfect for a relaxing vacation. We arrived at a spotless cabin, with very comfortable accommodations. We had everything we needed for lazy days on the beach, N Conway shopping, and lots of great dinner options in the area. We plan to return!

Perfect Lake Cottage

Gail's cottage was one of favorites in Eidelweiss-- we've been coming up here for years . Impeccably clean , well stocked and in a great location . We could have easily walked to Eidelweiss Beach but we had our kayaks so we drove . The home is cute and well maintained -- we had a great time .

Perfect Stay

Gail's home is exactly that- a home that is well taken care of, cozy, clean and loved. Gail's communication was PHENOMENAL as I had several questions and she was right there for me! The bedrooms are beautiful. The bunk beds are HANDMADE and built into the wall. The mattresses are great. The bathrooms are perfect- fans, clean, great water pressure. The home is lovely, spacious and in a beautiful location. Parking was easy and the driveway was well sanded. Thank you, Gail! Our family loved our stay.

Great cabin

The house was very clean with a spacious upstairs. The price was reasonable. Great deck and yard. It did have 3 bedrooms and 7 beds. Our only concern was only one shower. I could not imagine 7 people and one shower.

I was previously a court reporter for many years but now a retired grandmother with five grandchildren.

Why they chose this property

We rented homes or hotel rooms in the area for many years before we decided to build. Each year we try to do an update. The kitchen and front deck are two of our latest renovations (2018 and 2019. .
January of 2020 we installed a new hot water heater, a new dishwasher and a new electric range. We have updated our pots and pans!! We have painted the outside of the chalet and taken up carpet throughout the home and installed vinyl flooring.
We take pride in our home being clean, comfortable and relaxing. We strive to give you an enjoyable vacation at an affordable price.
We are off Eidelweiss Drive and the chalet is set back from the street so there is no dust and little noise from cars going by. We have a long driveway and large yard for children to play. We know you will enjoy our home.

What makes this property unique

I know our guests will enjoy the coziness of both country and modern accents that makes our chalet feel like home. We liked how it was set back from the street giving children a large area to play. We are also close to everything - Kancamagus Highway, Conway, North Conway, North/South Road that will take you into town avoiding the traffic on White Mountain Highway.
We are close to most ski areas and about 40 minutes to Storyland. Whales Tale is a short drive across the Kancamagus Highway.
