The perfect location when visiting family or enjoying our many activities such as the Bourbon Trail, Churchill Downs, Museums, and world class restaurants.

Our secure walkout basement apartment is on a 5 acre lot just a short drive to all the area has to offer. Outlet Mall and other Shopping and restaurants are just over 10 minutes away.

Drive times from house to:
Bourbon Distilleries = 25 - 90 minutes.
Downtown KFC Yum/Slugger Field = 23 minutes on 5/17/18 at 12 noon.
NuLu = 22 minutes.
Highlands = 19 minutes.
Kentucky Kingdom/Airport = 20 minutes.
Oxmoor Mall shopping area = 15 minutes.
Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass = 15 minutes.
Nearest major restaurant area = 12 minutes.

First-time Kentucky Visit

We stayed for a total of 8 nights at this location. The owners live upstairs; so close by for any questions. They're a very nice couple. The apartment is nicely finished and very private. Kitchen essentials are provided, as well as linens and towels. There is a full-sized laundry room within the unit. The location is tranquil but still only 10 minutes from convenience shopping (Kroger, liquor, takeout, Starbucks) and highway access. We prefer busy days and quiet evenings. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. My husband and I were in Kentucky to check out the Bourbon Trail. It was easy to get around from this location.

We rented this place for 3 nights absolutely beautiful. Very quiet as we pulled in their where 2 deer to greet us. The most roomiest I have ever been to.

Fabulous Stay

Denis and Patti provide an unbelievably beautiful place. It is just as described and more. Very relaxing environment with a deck and a porch swing. The height of cleanliness and great communication. I am on a special diet and needed to cook many meals in. The kitchen is very nice with plenty of space and supplies. Also a nearby grocery store. Definitely say yes to staying here. Attention to detail was evident throughout. Enough of everything-linens to cookware, without being overwhelming. And should the beautifully appointed kitchen cause your inner Alton Brown to come out, enjoy the ceramic lined skillet that turns out flawless omelets.

Excellent stay in Fisherville Kentucky

This trip was our first with the HomeAway website posting. We were fortunate to find an excellent place to stay that was out in the country and very quiet at night. We appreciated the homeowner's accurate posting of photos of his home, the cleanliness of the apartment, and the quick communication from him when we had a question. We would recommend this location to anyone traveling in the Louisville, Kentucky area. It was truly a special place to stay for our vacation.

Perfect for our family, including our toddler on the go!

This little apartment was perfect for our little family. We asked if we could borrow a pack n play for our 1 year old son, and it was all set up for us when we arrived. They even brought down high chair, and read my mind of needing a sheet to put under the highchair for our messy toddler. The location was perfect for coming back for naps, as we went and explored the area that hopefully will be our home soon. We definitely will come back in the future when we want to explore the Louisville area again.

The location and this property is just perfect. It truly deserves higher rating than 5 stars, it is A++. I just wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. We were on a tight schedule and just needed a place to rest, relax and rewind. We did not go sightseeing as have done that before, just rested and recharged before heading back to California. Whatever you need this VRBO has, and you can’t find a nicer place to stay.

A Great Bargain! The apartment is very well furnished. Every thing that you would want is there. You are out in the country-but the view is outstanding. Saw deer in the woods. The owner (Denis) is very helpful. Anything you ask for he will help you. We asked for the best way to leave the area. He told us his idea, and it was the best way that we could have gone.

A perfect place for relaxation and disengaging from the daily hustle and bustle of workaday life or exploration of the Bourbon Trail. If in Louisville for an extended stay, the perfect place to enjoy the sights, nightlife, restaurants, nature and yet, close enough to easily/quickly get to work.

What makes this property unique

Many well-traveled guests tell us that our apartment is the best short term rental they have stayed in other than expensive resorts. The serene park-like setting is unique in this area and can't be matched at any price. 20 Keurig K pods, travel cups, creamers and all types of sweeteners exceed what you will find at even the best hotels. And, where can you swing on a shaded porch and watch the deer, turkey, and other wildlife as you start or finish your day?
