Beautiful two-story fully furnished home with all linens, sleeps 12-14, includes 3 Bedrooms with King-sized “Sleep Number” Beds, plus 2 Full-sized Beds, and Forth bedroom upstairs with Queen-sized Bed & office, plus an optional fold out couch in dining area. Everything about the house was great! Good kitchen, fully stocked, plenty of space, super close and easy walk to the beach (2 minutes) and shops. Would for sure recommend. The beds are also super comfortable, which is a hard find at rentals.

Easy beach, pier, and town access. Lots of room for our group of 6 adults. The dog loved it, too! Kitchen supplies were great, and we felt very safe and comfortable staying at Gathering Place and love the casual vibe of Cayucos!

Family Vacation

The Gathering Place was perfect in every way. Great location just across the street from the ocean, beautiful views, comfortable and lovely home with everything you could need including fresh cut flowers from the garden. Great communication with Doug the owner. Hope to go back soon.

The home was wonderful in the convenience and comfort. From the bedrooms and the kitchen the living room even the garage, all upgraded furniture, new modernized kitchen with every type of device needed for any type of cooking, beach, chairs, and towels, comfortable beds with super soft sheets, new couches that we just sink into and of course, the location and view of the ocean or just the highlight. I can’t say enough this was just a wonderful place to have a family gathering.

Our favorite beach rental

This was our second time at the Gathering Place. We absolutely love the location, ocean view and walk ability. Park your car and enjoy the beach, ice cream shop and clam chowder all just across the street. Thanks Douglas for sharing your house. Johnson Family

Perfect beach home

Wonderful location and perfectly provisioned. We had a group of 7 and had oodles of space for everyone. The beds are VERY comfortable and the property is immaculate. The only challenge for us was that Ubers were not available. If we came back to the area we would home to return to the Gathering Place.

Feels like home!

This was our second time staying here and we will be back many more times. We love this property! The house has everything you need and feels like you are at home. The location is so convenient, close to everything and just across the street is the beach. The house is about 100 yards from a kids playground and the community pool. Doug, the owner is quick to reply and goes out of his way to help you. You would not regret ever staying here.

A Magnificent and Magical Place To Gather!

Our group was comprised of several women who love to spend time together, we meditate as a group on a regular basis. Our stay at the Gathering Place was simply spectacular in every sense of the word. Everything you could possibly want is available, beds and furniture are extremely comfortable and the place is spotless. There are lots of books, games, etc. for all ages. Cayucos is small and sweet beach community, we so loved our time there!

CLU Group

The house was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the ocean. It is a quick walk to town and an amazing little coffee shop/bakery around the corner with the friendliest owner/workers. The gas station on the corner has the cheapest gas. The 5 of us very much enjoyed our stay and I’m coming back next month with different group of friends.

FAMILY VACATION

The house was amazing and perfect for our group of 9. Plenty of space for all to sleep and hang out comfortably. The location is perfect as it is walking distance to everything. We have rented many vacation homes and this was the best. This home had everything we needed as far as space, sleeping arrangements, enough dishes, pots, pans and bowls for all of our meals. The owners are just a door away and were so helpful. They even provided toys for our 2 year old Grandson to play with! This will be a repeat vacation rental for us for sure!

Perfect for So Many Reasons

Our stay at The Gathering Place was perfect for our family for so many reasons: having 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, stellar 2nd story views of the ocean, easy walking distance to the pier, downtown and the beach, large dining table and common area so we could spend a lot of group time together, and more. We had very stormy weather. But no one got cabin fever due to the layout of the home and the huge bay windows which allowed for viewing of wave activity rarely seen. Everyone from an 82 year old Papa to our 2 year old great-granddaughter had a wonderful time. We will return.

The property itself is very lovely in its location, cleanliness, and provisions.What was unfortunate is the lack of description on each of the bedrooms. When I messaged Doug specifically about what the room locations were and type I feel as though I was misled. The family each needed their own bathroom and so that was the most important thing. Doug stated that the upstairs bedroom had an en suite bathroom. This is absolutely correct and accurate. What he did not say is that the upstairs bedroom is definitely not the primary bedroom, which you would assume automatically, but a walled in oversize closet. Approximately 6 1/2 feet wide by 9 feet long. you could barely get into the bed on one side and the bed was nailed to the wall so I couldn’t even move it to make it equal on each side for both people. Not only that.. there is not one single window in the bedroom. Not one. Talk about claustrophobia! There is a There is an antique dresser in the bedroom, which was wonderful since there was no room for suitcases. We promptly unpacked and left our suitcases in the living room.The doors, were closet doors that open out onto the area where the pictures show a pool table. The bathroom itself was fine. There was a very small stall shower, toilet and sink.The other bedrooms were all extremely lovely with lots of airy windows and pretty curtains.The view from the property is spectacular. So I would definitely recommend this if you did not need to use the upstairs bedroom as a bedroom.
