The styling is rustic yet sophisticated, providing all the comforts of a modern home including a beautiful kitchen, a quaint living/dining area, large flat panel TV’s on both the upper and lower floors, high speed internet and wireless network. All TVs have local HD channels (all major networks) plus access to Netflix, Hulu and Amazon video. Pandora is available in the living room and bottom floor as a music source. All rooms are beautifully decorated with rustic style custom designed log furniture. The home boasts two independant central heating systems, individually controlled on both floors. With custom woodwork and master craftsmanship throughout this vacation rental, you will have the unique opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a truly professional design.

This South Lake Tahoe vacation rental is surrounded by trees and is very peaceful. Barbeque and relax on the large front deck overlooking Lake Tahoe in the summer time and enjoy a view of the Lake from both upstairs and downstairs bedrooms. The environment is beautiful and very accessible in all seasons.

With the two car garage and large separate driveway, there is comfortable parking for more than six cars.

My 3 Favorite things to do at Rocky Point Vacation Rental

1. Wake up in the morning, and share a cup of
coffee with my wife, in the Lakeview Bedroom (2 out of 3 Bedrooms). Enjoy a
gorgeous view of the Lake, while cozying up in bed, preparing for your day! Enjoy
a great view of the Sun scanning the surface of the lake, proceeding up the
tips of the Pine Trees, ultimately progressing all the way up to our house.

2. Put on our hiking boots and begin our day hike
up the National Forrest Mountain (Heavenly Mountain), where the cut Trail
begins in our Backyard! Hike far enough up, and enjoy the Waterfall.

3. Walk down to Starbucks (1 mile) in the Heavenly
Shopping Center, grab a Mocha, then walk to the Beach. My wife would probably substitute
the Beach for the Shops located in the Heavenly Shopping Center, which are both
eclectic and in great supply.

Gorgeous! Great location and nice home

My family stayed here for a wedding and it was perfect for our group! Plenty of room, clean, and was super quiet. I enjoyed the heater on the deck with coffee and the beds are great! Will stay here again for sure, John was great to deal with! Quick to book and to check out. Well worth the money!

Beautiful house in a great location with fun amenities

This is a well-maintained property. It's very convenient to Heavenly's California Lodge. A gas fireplace, a hot tub at the edge of the forest, video game machine and a well-stocked kitchen make it a great choice for time with family and friends.

Excellent Stay At South Lake Tahoe

Responsive host, clear communication, easy check-in, clean and spacious house, ample parking, quiet neighborhood, well-stocked kitchen, thoughtfully decorated rooms, proximity to shops, entertainment options with subscriptions in all rooms, a trail right behind the house, a view of the lake from the rooms - will certainly look for this property in our next trip.

Perfect location

Plenty of space in the trees, with wonderful lake views. The location is absolutely perfect. Walking distance to Heavenly Village and casinos. A 5-10 minute drive to literally anywhere you'd want to go. Ski Run to rent a boat, Zephyr Cove to enjoy the amazing beach and a rum runner. Zephyr Cove Stables for an amazing ride with an expansive scenic overlook. Lakeside private beach is literally only a few minutes away and is magnificent for a sunset drink on the beach. Cabin is very clean, with loads of space. Beds and pillows are super comfy. Might point out that there is no true master suite (not a complaint, just a note). There is a room with a 1/2 bath, but the bed that is adjustable is in the room next door. I believe it is the only bed in the house that is adjustable. Considering I have one at home, it was something I was looking forward to. If any of the other beds have one, we didn't locate a remote. Structure of the house might be of interest to some, the bedroom with the 2 sets of bunkbeds and a queen sized bed and full bath, is located off the garage entrance and has a backdoor leading out to the back of the house where you will find the very inviting hot tub. Upstairs are 2 other bedrooms and 1.5 baths, along with the kitchen, living room, and amazing deck with lake views. We caught sight of a number of coyotes from the deck and heard a large pack of howling coyotes and wolves at around 3am. It was amazing. We also were able to observe a fantastic lightning display over the lake. The upstairs deck has a hard line propane grill, heat lamp (didn't need during our stay), lots of seating to enjoy a meal outside. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need. There were games in the cabinets in the island. All rooms had their own television with Netflix, which gave everyone an opportunity to retire to their own rooms at night for a little space to enjoy some down time. Item to note, there are no beach chairs or towels, so be sure to bring your own. I had only one item of complaint. With the kitchen being upstairs, during the summer months when it's incredibly warm, it's very hard to cool down. We opened everything up in the evening, but found it never fully cooled off upstairs. Even keeping blinds closed, using the attic fan and the small mobile a/c unit, it doesn't do much to push the heat out. I'd suggest making plans to do all cooking on the grill outdoors. The downstairs is literally about 15 degrees cooler.

Winter wonderland

We stayed in this beautiful home for MLK weekend with our two young kids and a couple of friends, and we enjoyed ourselves very much. The entire process went very smoothly thanks to the owner John who has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We especially enjoyed the location and view, exploring and sledding in your own backyard, the hot tub, all the adorable bear decorations, and the arcade game was our daughter's favorite. We would love to stay here again!

A MUST

The home was beautiful, and the location couldn't have been more perfect. I had a group of 8. We spent half of our time cooking in the fully stoked kitchen and playing games, and the other half in town which is a short mile away. The hiking trail behind the house was great for all levels of activity, and the outdoor deck is ideal for you to enjoy your morning cup of coffee. The owners are extremely responsive which is reassuring, should anything come up.

tahoe perfect

From the moment we pulled up to the house, we couldn't have been more impressed. The house immaculate and absolutely perfect for our two families to share. Super clean and so many extras. The bedrooms are spacious and furniture is very new. Location is ideal. We left planning a return next summer and will definitely stay here again! I would highly recommend this house. Easy process with the owner being available to answer questions within minutes.
