Balcony is great but the condo is not!

The condo was stocked well in the kitchen. Filthy carpets, old disgusting coffee, front door was new but the keyed handle was loose and could not be locked with ease,. washing machine door would not shut tight. Many things like these just make vacation much nicer and there seems to be no interest in the condo aesthetically. I called the rental office 2 weeks before arrival about the reviews on the carpet and was told they were from last year. Was told if we get in there and the carpet is dirty we can call them to get it cleaned. Well, that's why I called. Who wants to waste time on their vacation dealing with all that?

I am sorry you weren't pleased. We would have gladly sent someone to tighten the door knob and clean the carpet had you called. All our units are spring cleaned, and carpets cleaned before Memorial Day each year. After that point the units are rented back to back, Saturday to Saturday all summer. Carpets often do get dirty through the summer, with the heavy, barefoot, traffic. If none of the tenants want to "waste time" allowing a carpet cleaner to clean the carpets, they will remain dirty. I would suggest, if you do not want to allow the cleaning, that you may consider booking at the beginning of the season, rather than after 10-12 weeks of tenants have continually walked in and out on the carpets.

Great view, needs some updating

Place is in a great location. Balcony is huge. Had all the things we needed. However, maintenance left much to be desired. The carpet in the place is filthy and needs replacing. It might not matter to most, but with kids who crawl and play on the floors this was a problem- Which we solved my laying blankets on the floor. The stove didn't work when we got there and even after resetting the breaker, one of the burners didn't work. Two of the air conditioners stopped working. We had to clean the air filters so they'd work. The bathroom floor was filthy when we arrived and turned our feet black with soot. So we spent the first evening cleaning the bathroom. Management was apologetic about this and offered to have a cleaning crew come back which was nice. Also to have the carpets cleaned- but we didnt want to have crew in there doing that during our stay. Also, the listing didn't mention that we had to pick up and return the key to Berlin MD. It wasn't a big deal, but was a bit of an inconvenience as it was not on our way. All in all, it's a fine place to stay but I don't think we would come back. The building is nice but I'd probably stay in another unit unless this one had some updating.

Disappointing Vacation

We were there with a 4 and 1 year old during a partial-opening period of the COVID-19 pandemic. We were anxious about traveling and this property did not ease that anxiousness. To be kind, the flooring needs replaced. Seeing carpet that has stains all over it, tile that is chipped, rust on the fridge and old everything just gave us the impression that it was not clean. We did not feel comfortable doing our usual OCM activities and this condo was not a place where we wanted to spend a lot of time but the other options (attractions, restaurants, etc.) were very limited. The beach was fun but with young ones, it also has its limits. We were also hoping to spend some time at the condo pool but it was closed so that was not an option either. Like I wrote earlier, there were a lot of factors that affected the lack of enjoyment of this vacation and this condo was one of them. Hope everyone is staying safe!

Clean , great views,

This was listed as 2 bed 2 bath which is why we booked it we had 6 people and there was only one Bathroom. We have stayed in different condos here in the past year and is a great place to stay. We would not stay in 701 again just because it only has the 1 bathroom but it was very nice and clean a little small then some of the other ones.
