Niall was an amazing host. Communication was clear and fast. He met us when we checked in and answered any questions we may have had and saw us off when we checked out. The cottage was large and fit 2 couples very comfortably. Super cute decor and very quaint - we were welcomed with a welcome sign and baked treat. Beer and wine was available for a reasonable price (very convenient) and the views were beautiful. The shops and restaurants were all within walking distance (we had so much fun at the pubs with live music!) The cliffs and pier was a short drive. We would highly recommend staying here in Doolin for anyone who want to see the cliffs, and we would absolutely stay here again. Cheers!

Loves our Doolin stay

Upon arrival were met Dara , the owner, who was fantastic. She gave us a good run down on our property , which is very comfortable , and well equipped for anything you need . She evens sells wine if you want a bottle . Since this was our first time to the Doolin area , she inquired about what our plans were and gave us great suggestions on things to do, the area, places to eat, etc. Dara also made reservations for us to eat, transportation for an event , and a delightful evening at the Doolin Music House . The location is walkable to everything in Doolin, shops, restaurants , pubs, Doolin Ferry. Definitely go to OConnors for traditional Irish music . It was one of our highlights of our Ireland trip. Dara's place is close to Aran Islamd ferry, Cliffs of Moher, The Burren. Definitely Doolin was a wonderful experience and Dara's place was a great place to stay and she is a fantastic host. Highly recommend!

Incredible property & amazing experience

First time we have ever filled out a review even after all our years of traveling. But this host and their property was so superb we want to tell everyone about it. They give such a personal touch (the Irish homemade bfast everyday was astounding!). They made sure we had everything and provided us with detailed dining and activity options. The proximity to the Cliffs of Mohr trail was unique. And the private hot tub after the day’s hike was the perfect ending. Thank you for such an incredible experience!

Peace of heaven in Doolin.

This property exceeded my expectations. It was beatifully decorated with modern kitchens and baths. It is perfectly located within walking distance of the pups, shopping, and pier. The views were amazing especially the cows and the ruins. The most delicious breakfast was delivered in the morning. The owners were very helpful and friendly.

We live in Doolin and own and run The Lodes @ Sea View House. A collection of Luxury Lodges in Doolin Village. Together we have been in the tourism industry for over 25 yrs each.

Our Lodges
We have a number of properties in Doolin village.
Ocean View Lodge, Fisherstreet Lodge, Castle View Lodge, and Horseshoe House. All with stunning views and in the best locations. All our properties are approved and inspected by Failte Ireland, Ireland's national tourism body.

SUSTAINABLE TOURISM:
We are also passionate about sustainable tourism. We believe that ecotourism is the way for Doolin and the Burren and Cliffs of Moher Geopark to develop tourism in a sustainable way. We try to consider the environment in all that we do. It is absolutely vital that we look towards long term, sustainable solutions that protect our outdoor spaces and minimize harmful CO2 emissions.

USE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY
To minimize our CO2 emissions, wee primarily use renewable energy sources. Photovoltaic solar panels convert energy from the sun into electricity which is stored in our battery bank and used to run our hot tubs and provide electricity to the lodges. Flatplate solar collectors convert energy from the sun providing hot water for Lodge bathrooms and kitchens. We use BIO LPG produced from renewable feedstocks such as plant and vegetable waste material to heat the lodges.

We have also taken steps to lower energy consumption throughout our properties, using advanced heating controls, LED lighting, motion-sensitive lighting and lots of insulation.

BURREN ECOTOURISM NETWORK
We are long-standing members of The Burren Ecotourism Network. The Burren Ecotourism Network is a network of tourism enterprises with the objective of establishing the Burren as a premier internationally-recognized sustainable tourism region ensuring the future economic and social growth and sustainable development of its communities, environment, and heritage.
