Weekend stay

Overall a very agreeable experience. Very nice property. We were able to ride our bikes from the house to the trails at DuPont, which was very cool. My only qualm is that there was no dumpster/outside trash can. Other than that we had a perfect time.

First the good stuff...Very quiet location out in the middle of nowhere, Very close to the pretty place chapel only 9 miles away. Loved the huge Carport on the house for loading and unloading your vehicle....The house was very spacious and met all of our families needs, And was very clean when we arrived....Now the bad stuff....It has a very rough gravel road leading to the house until the driveway which is concrete. The dishwasher was not bolted into the cabinet and had written directions on how to operate it, but did not work!..Carpets in the bedrooms were stained and the mattresses were stained as well. The toilet seat in the master bathroom was way too little for the toilet that was in the bathroom! Walls and doors in the house were scuffed up...But not a deal breaker for us....The house has a beautiful wrap around porch with acorn trees above that drop nuts onto the tin roof all hours of the night which is a little unnerving....and Noisy....It looked like repairs were being made to the property which was good...All in all in was a pleasant stay...But for the money we paid it could of been in a little bit better condition!

Not sure where to start with this one. First, the pictures in the listing are clearly outdated and don’t depict the true condition of the property. This property seems neglected and is pretty beat-up. Floors in the kitchen are quite worn (not a big deal), the walls and doors are badly scuffed and full of marks, the back door frame in the kitchen is rotting away and the screen was busted/ripped out. The bedroom carpets are stained and in need of shampooing. The door windows were dirty - needed cleaning. The washer was leaking - which was replaced when we reported this. Ok, so the cosmetic stuff we can deal with (but really disappointed). The other issue was the neighbors. Dogs barking a lot. Most of the neighbors have dogs and the run the neighborhood freely and came onto the property multiple times. We brought our dogs and this had us a little unnerved because you never know how they’ll interact. In spite of all this, the property owner is very responsive. The place was clean when we arrived and the beds are very comfortable. The location is great - close to DuPont. Just a bit of a rough drive on gravel to get to the property. Deal breaker for most people? Probably not but these are things we would have liked to know - especially since we booked multiple weeks.

Cedar Mountain Home

We really enjoyed our stay. The kids had so much to fun playing in the yard, exploring the woods around the property, and we all enjoyed the basketball area we brought our own basketball and football to play with. Our pup really loved all the free space to run and play. Look forward to booking again.

Great get-a-way weekend

Close to Dupont and stores but feels like you are out in the woods. Perfect and just what we were looking for- a quite relaxing weekend and did some hiking over at Dupont. You will love it here!

Amazing Experience

Everything exceeded our expectations from the cleanliness of the home, home & property offerings, location, and most importantly - great communication. Texts were responded to in very timely manner and our stay was even on Thanksgiving - thank you Robert! LP bottle for grill had gone empty and a replacement was delivered within an hour! Wow! Our family of 6 (kids all 18+) enjoyed coffee on the wrap around porch watching sunrise, hiking during the day, grilling for dinner, campfire with Smore's under the stars, and games/cards in the evenings. Amazing! We will definitely look to stay here again.

Beautiful Location

Place was clean. The rooms were cozy. The property is BEAUTIFUL! Only wished there was sugar in the pantry, but had pretty much everything else if needed, including coffee, which was nice. We will definitely try to come back! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The house was perfect! We needed something for a variety of ages, and physical abilities. The easy entrance and handicap shower were perfect for aging parents. Great getaway near Dupont Forest!

This house is so close to the lesser hiked/biked trails in Dupont State Forest. If you want to go out the back door and just do a mini-hike or even bike to the more traveled trails, you can do it! House was comfortable and had everything we needed for a family of 4. We brought our dogs and they loved having the large yard to walk/explore although we kept them leashed.

Beautiful location and peaceful getaway!

My wife and I were looking for a peaceful setting away from city life. We were not disappointed. It's located very close to the Dupont Forest, and after a long day of mountain biking or hiking, one can sit on the front porch and enjoy the evening. The house has just about everything and all the utilities function well. We will definitely book there again.

Great Location for Outdoor Recreation

We loved the location and its proximity to DuPont hiking and biking trails. It was the perfect staging location for recreation and wonderful hikes with our dogs. Robert, the property manager, was super responsive and accommodating.

Our stay was fantastic. The house had enough room for everyone and our dogs had plenty of room to run outside. Trails leading from the yard connect to DuPont Trails and only a 15-20 minute drive to waterfalls and town. Distance is only 8-10 miles, just curvy. Definitely want to go back!

Hidden Gem

This is really a hidden gem. It's so quiet and tucked away but really close to great hikes and close enough to Brevard to get what you need for your stay. Robert was very responsive. It rained the first few days we were there, but the covered porch is so nice to just listen to the rain and we stayed totally dry. We hope to come back again!

Cedar Mountain

The property is very conveniently located to Dupont State Forest, in fact with trails behind the house that connect two Dupont Trails. The host is very courteous and accommodating and answered my every request. A great place for our dog to run around in the yard. Private, though we could hear the neighbors playing music at times. The property is as described, and is a bit worn, and certainly plain, but perfectly suitable for what we needed. I would have appreciated some more comfortable chairs outside, and a few more cocktail glasses, but those are minor things.
