About this property
Private Mountain Home. Hot Tub. Dog-Friendly. 10 Min to Winter Park Resort
Welcome to your own private mountain home in Fraser, Colorado. Nestled on nearly an acre of wooded property, this spacious 2,350-square-foot single-family home offers the privacy, comfort, and authentic mountain setting that's hard to find in the Fraser Valley today. Relax in the private hot tub beneath the stars, keep an eye out for the occasional moose, deer, and fox that wander through the property, and enjoy the convenience of being just 10 minutes from Winter Park Resort with the free shuttle only one block away.
Perfectly located for year-round adventure, you'll be just 35 scenic minutes from Grand Lake, Lake Granby, and the quieter west entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Winter Park Resort, endless hiking and mountain biking trails, fishing on the Fraser River, golf, festivals, and live music are all just minutes away. Safeway, restaurants, coffee shops, and other everyday conveniences are less than two minutes from the house.
*Dog Friendly*
Dogs deserve a mountain vacation too! As the owner of a Border Collie, I understand that dogs are family. Our home welcomes up to two dogs, so there's no need to leave your best hiking buddy behind. A pet fee of $200 per stay covers the additional professional cleaning required after pet-friendly stays. Simply select the pet fee when making your reservation.
Designed for both gathering and relaxing, the home's three levels provide plenty of space for families and friends to spread out. Large windows fill the home with natural light while framing the surrounding pines, with glimpses of Byers Peak and the Continental Divide through the trees. Whether you're soaking in the hot tub after a day on the trails, relaxing by the fireplace, or simply enjoying the peace and quiet from the deck, this is the kind of mountain home that invites you to slow down and stay awhile.
The remodeled kitchen is thoughtfully equipped with more than the typical vacation rental essentials, making it easy to prepare meals during your stay. Whether you're making a quick breakfast before heading out or cooking dinner after a day of adventure, you'll find the cookware, utensils, and pantry staples that make cooking on vacation convenient.
After a day on the slopes or trails, gather around the cozy gas fireplace or unwind on the back deck overlooking the trees with a glass of wine or Colorado craft beer. The flagstone patio offers another peaceful place to relax outdoors, and when conditions allow, guests are welcome to enjoy the wood-burning fire pit. On clear evenings, the stars—and often the Milky Way—create a spectacular mountain backdrop that's difficult to find near the city.
The home comfortably accommodates families and small groups with three private bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a cozy loft sleeping area.
*Sleeping Arrangements*
Primary Suite (upper level): Queen bed, private deck, and a beautifully remodeled ensuite bathroom featuring a spacious walk-in shower with treetop views.
Guest Bedroom 1 (lower level): Queen bed with private ensuite bathroom.
Guest Bedroom 2 (lower level): Queen bed with adjacent full bathroom.
Loft: Single daybed that comfortably sleeps one adult or up to two children and also serves as a quiet reading nook overlooking the living space.
Additional conveniences include a full-size washer and dryer on the lower level.
*Getting Around*
Getting around is easy, but if you'd prefer to leave the car behind for the day, the free shuttle stop is located just one short block from the house. Operating year-round, the shuttle provides convenient service throughout Fraser and Winter Park, including Winter Park Resort. During ski season, it's a great way to avoid resort parking and simply hop on and off at the base village. In the summer, the shuttle also provides easy access to Winter Park Resort's mountain biking, scenic lift rides, and other seasonal activities.
If you do drive, you'll appreciate parking for up to two vehicles in the attached garage, plus room for three more in the driveway.
Our home is professionally cleaned before every stay, and we continue to offer a moderately flexible cancellation policy to give guests additional peace of mind when planning their mountain vacation.
We hope you enjoy our mountain home as much as we do and create memories that bring you back to Fraser year after year.

We loved staying here! Super close to town for groceries and to Winter Park. House was in a nice area and had a great backyard for the fire-pit and hot tub. Would definitely recommend :)
Loved how the house felt remote, but was so close to the town and resort. Took the shuttle bus from the house (like a 1/2 block away) and it was so easy! Private hot tub and star gazing was the best. Nice open floor plan btwn kitchen, table and living room w/a cozy fireplace. Dog friendly was a bonus!
Nice secluded, wooded property. Very private, all the amenities you could need. Easy access to everything the area has to offer. Dog friendly is always a plus.
We had a great time and it was pet friendly! I love this location. Super easy access to all of the fun things in town and just a few minutes from Winter Park. The house has a great layout and the whole process was easy and stress-free.
This is the second time we've stayed at this house. We really like the location, hot tub and being dog friendly. Communication the owner/manager is great as well. We'll be back again.
This cabin was an amazing place for our family - plenty of room and space for all of us to be together, and plenty of rooms for everyone to escape to when needed. We loved the private feeling of this house - it's surrounded by trees and not super close to other houses, but yet still really easy to get to town as well as to Winter Park for activities! Our favorite part was the hot tub outdoors - again felt very private and a great way to end the day. I personally loved that the kitchen was fully stocked - not just dishes and such, but cooking oils, seasonings, etc. Overall an incredibly comfortable stay in a beautiful setting!
Louisiana and Colorado Family Winter Ski Gathering
Great location to everything and the bus line stop was just 50 yards away. We very much enjoyed our time with family and friends. Our Denver gang drove up for a few nights and days of skiing Winter Park. The garage was a plus for the snowy days, no cleaning!!! We highly recommend this place for a family get-a-way!
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this mountain house! The house is lovely, updated, open and light. The backyard provides mountain views into the peaceful forest and a nice hot tub in the backyard. (We even saw a moose!) The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with essentials for cooking. Location was great so that we could go into the town of Winter Park, visit Grand Lake and enter into Rocky Mountain National Park. Easy access to hiking, mountain biking and paddle boarding.Host was helpful and responsive to our questions. We’ll definitely be back for the ski season too!
Nice cabin get-away that I’d pet friendly. Close to grocery, 5 minutes to town, 10-15 to ski (depending up on which resort). Owner very responsive. Beautiful wooded view on main floor with lots of sunlight. Saw a moose just walking through the neighborhood-that was fun!
We had a great time; the house is well stocked will kitchen supplies. We had a pair of red foxes that would show up every morning in the back yard while I was having coffee, very cool! The bus ride to the mountain is a bit long too (15 minutes) and back (30 minutes). The walk to the bus stop is a lite bit long, we drove and parked in the parking lot next to the bus pick up which solved that problem. It was a nice stay and the house provided us with a great place to gather, eat and catch up with our daughter who is attending CSU. The hot tub is nice sized and the fact that it is located away from the house in the pine trees is a neat touch. We would highly recommend staying here. The host responded very quickly to any questions that we had, I couldn't figure out the WIFI and she helped solve that problem very quickly.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Fantastic Setting but Home Disappoints.
For context, we are long time VRBO renters and travel with our pet.
My family spent 4 nights at this property over Thanksgiving. The grounds are beautiful and Jodie as a host is very responsive. However, we are rating "OK" since the home wasn't very clean and underdelivered. We do understand that it is listed as a pet friendly accommodation, but the untidiness went beyond excessive pet hair. The appliances, fixtures etc. were not very clean, some typical furnishings were absent (placemats, Kleenex, etc.) and several plateware were chipped. In addition, the home was soiled in places (sofa stains) and had some damage that was cosmetic but still detracted from the overall experience.

This house is great for me and my family of 6. It’s on a large lot and is set back from the street with so many pine trees that it feels remote and yet it is so close to everything, like the ski resort! I love the house itself too. It has an open floor plan with lots of windows and decks. The master bedroom and 2 guest bedrooms are separated by a level which has an open kitchen/dining/living room so it’s great for entertaining AND sleeping/couples privacy. My family prefers to stay in and cook dinner and then hit the hot tub (which is big and set back in the yard for great star viewing) and the kitchen is well stocked with more supplies and staples than I normally see in a rental. We even found a fondue pot in the cabinet and made cheese and chocolate fondue one night!I don’t know what the other review is all about because the house was very clean (and this is coming from someone who doesn’t even have dogs). True, it doesn’t have placemats - does anyone even use those anymore? Ha.
Our family of 6 adults plus a dog found this house to be comfortable. The host left explicit instructions and easy to follow. The kitchen is large enough to have three or four people preparing meals. The house is located away from the hustle and bustle of the resort which we loved, but still easy to get to via a car or shuttle. The house is in a wooded area which gave us privacy from the neighbors. The house is nearby to many activities, grocery store and shops.
The reason I did not give a 5 star rating; In the kitchen area there were two blinds missing, during the morning sun it made it difficult to sit at the dining table. In the master bathroom, there are no towel bars next to the sink. The shower head could use a replacement as only one spray setting worked well. The loft area has 3 of 4 lights that are burned out. The air return in the loft area and the tops of the ceiling fans need to be cleaned.
Would I stay here again, yes definitely!
My family & I had a great time staying at this property in Fraser. We loved sitting on the deck, the hot tub, and & the backyard. We also loved that our dogs could come! Thanks for being pet friendly!
