‘Rustic Tranquility’ is what you will find in our private, 3 bedroom, mountainside Chalet.
Perfect for a couples getaway, a base for outdoor enthusiasts, or a vacation 'home' for family/friends.

Located in a quiet, rural community in the most southern region of the Mount Washington Valley of New Hampshire, with 5 sandy beaches and central to many local areas of interest:

5 miles to the SCENIC Kancamagus Byway in the White Mountain National Forest
5-10 miles to Tax Free Shopping Outlets in N Conway, Restaurants & Entertainment
17 miles to Story Land & the Living Shores Aquarium
28 miles to Castle in the Clouds....just to name a few!

Our chalet comfortably accommodates up to 6 people. With 3 bedrooms, an open-concept living - dining room, kitchen with entry onto the screened-in porch that exits out onto the extended, 1/2 wrap-around, open deck which affords a gas grill for your grilling needs.

Stairs off the deck take you to a woodland path that leads to the fire-pit which sits under a high, tree-top canopy.

For those who find the need to remain ‘plugged in’, wireless internet and basic cable television are included.

The screened-in porch provides a wonderful, BUG-FREE, outside room and is a great go-to spot for meals, playing cards/board games, reading, drawing, or to just sit quietly - taking in all of the surrounding nature. Here you can can enjoy early, quiet mornings with your favorite cup of brew, listening to the call of the loons. Witness the change of night into day, catch a glimpse of wildlife passing through.

On a sunny day, bask in the warmth of the sun on the open, south-facing deck. Or head down to any one of the 5 community beaches, 3 of which are within a 1/2 mile (10 minute walk, or 2 minute drive) of the property. In the evening, take the woodland path to the 'fire-pit'. Enjoy making s'mores, conversation, and memories.

Although located within 15 minutes to an hour of most local area attractions, many people find that there isn't a need to leave the village once they are here:

*Rural dirt roads provide for great hiking and biking
*Pristine lake; kayak, swimming and fishing - brown trout, bass, pickerel, sunfish... 2 Kayaks are available for your use, along with some beach toys for the kids!
*Community playground and basketball court.
All within walking distance! If you choose to drive, parking is available.

If you are looking to do some tax-free shopping, sight-seeing, dining & entertainment, touring new places or looking for outdoor adventures, you don't need to travel far. Again, this chalet is convenienty located to many local areas of interest and outdoor activities.

At the end of a busy day, RETREAT and enjoy the COMFORTS and SIMPLE pleasures that this mountainside chalet has to offer.

If your idea of a weekend in NH leaf peeping is a quaint rustic cottage, this is it, with all creature comforts provided. Close to North Conway/Jackson Village attractions but out of the way of the hustle and bustle. This is definitely on our list for next year.

Cute chalet in a community. Very quiet and relaxing. We didn't use the beach area but drove by and there was plenty of parking. Close to shopping, restaurants and mountains. Found backroads to avoid high traffic areas. We would definitely consider booking again.

Loved the coziness of the cabin in woodsy setting. Close drive (2 min)—could walk if without young kids— to a beautiful clean and clear lake. Would love to go back!

Fun time in Edelweiss village
We had a wonderful week, enjoyed walking and biking around the neighborhood and kayaking and swimming on the pond. The screened in porch was great to enjoy the outside without bugs! Convenient to North Conway and lots of local hikes and sights.

We live in the 'flatlands' of Mass, not far from the ocean. We are outdoor enthusiasts and really enjoy getting out and exploring; traveling, meeting new people, and making new discoveries in the world around us.

Over the past few years our ability to venture north has been limited. So, we decided to open our little "home away from home", and make it available to those looking for a simple, little vacation getaway in the White Mountain & lakes region of New Hampshire.

We look forward to sharing it with you and hope that you find staying here to be a positive experience and that your visit provides you with enjoyable and long-lasting memories.

Why they chose this property

Our first trip away together, as a couple, was to Lincoln and Franconia Notch in New Hamphsire. Ever since, New Hamphsire and "the Whites" have been 'our place'. For over 2 decades we had the privilege of spending vacation time in the Northwoods of NH at a friend's cabin. Heading north was always like 'going home'. It was always so rejuvenating to get out as a family; to explore and play in the in this beautiful region of New Hampshire. After the sale (and loss) of our friend's cabin we decided that it was time to find a little place of our own. We were searching for the ‘perfect’ mountain getaway on the Western side of the Kancamagus Highway when serendipity stepped in and we discovered this simple, little chalet-on-the-hill in the Mount Washington Valley (East of the Kancamagus Highway). We were mesmerized as we rounded the steep bend in the dirt road and were greeted by this little chalet. Set back on it’s hill, with its ‘white frosting’ trim, stylish balusters and natural, forest lot.
The easy access to the water for swimming, boating (non-motorized), and fishing; along with the community playground, were added benefits to this quiet, mountain-forest retreat. Not to mention its close proximity to many local areas of interest.

What makes this property unique

Private, natural mountain-forest hillside. 3 bedrooms. A large south-facing open deck that wraps around to a 12x12 screened-in porch. Fire-pit. Quiet, rural community with 5 beautiful, community beaches ( 3 within 1/2 mile of property), basket ball court, playground, rolling dirt roads with pleasant mountain views. Clean, community water supply.
Access to Silver Lake - boat ramp and beach (if restrictions are not in place)
Just a short drive to many local areas of interest: White Mountain National Forest, N Conway Village, Story Land.....
