Nice place.
Very nice and quiet, close to town and loved the lakefront view.b
House was very clean and just as pictured on VRBO. House is quite small and very close the other house on the property but has a very large deck overlooking the lake. The lake is gorgeous. You can fish off the dock. The kayaks are high quality and there are ample paddles and life vests in the shed. Fire pit and chairs by the lake are great. I would definitely stay here again.

Amy, thank you for your 5 star review and positive comments. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and enjoyed the lake and amenities! We hope you can return again soon!
The host was great and a good communicator. The lake is lovely and the owner provides kayaks, paddles and life vests for the guests. The property was clean. AC worked. My only advice for future guests is to know the bathroom is small. Kitchen is small and basic, but we were able to make a nice, basic meal of spaghetti and breakfasts as well.

Thank you for having us! We loved your property and the use of the fire pit and kayaks. It was a perfect little getaway for my 30th!

Wonderful stay!
We had a great vacation here. The property exceeded our expectations! The cabin was clean, cozy and perfect for our family of 6. The view from the deck was beautiful. We enjoyed the kayaks and our kids loved fishing from the rowboat. The lake was great for swimming as well.We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend!
It’s a clean, cute little cabin that worked great for our party of 3. The only downside was the dock that was in the listing had been put away for the season which made fishing less enjoyable/efficient.
The cabin is in a beautiful setting adjacent to Paradise Lake. Quiet, but amazingly close to Mackinaw City. Great Host. Used the boats & kayaks provided with the host.
We enjoyed our stay in this quaint little cottage. Very clean and a terrific location. Being right on the lake was tremendous and we enjoyed using their kayaks and fire pit. A 10 minute drive to Mackinaw City was key as we picked up the ferry to go visit the island. Two thumbs up!
Was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting Mackinaw Cty and Mackinac Island. It was an easy 10-15 min drive to town. The cottage is on the small size but the outside amenities make up for that. We loved using the kayaks.
A very cozy cabin on the lake that was only minutes away from Mackinaw City and the Mighty Mac.
Only issue we had with this cozy cabin is lack of blinds on windows and beds and sofa bed need upgrades.
Perfect location and size for the two of us. Might want to consider a fire pit for each place. The people next to us dominated the one fire pit the entire time
It was very good but the bathroom could be a bit bigger that was very tiny. We appreciated the grill and the kayaks. Our grandkids really enjoyed them.
It was very peaceful and relaxing.
This property has a great view of the lake but is extremely close to the other cabin on the property and you have to share the fire pit. The accommodations were as pictured and access to kayaks was a nice addition. The lake is gorgeous and clean! The proximity to the International star gazing park and the Mackinac bridge is only 10-15 minutes away which was perfect for us.
Great cabin and amenities. Beautiful property in a very quiet lake town. The only negative we encountered was the property online looks to have a private fire pit and use of the boating equipment however it is shared with another cabin on the same property. Luckily we had friendly neighbors and it worked out. Our family had a great time!!
My friends and I stayed for a bday week away. Everything was close to get to, we had an amazing day at the island, spent an evening in downtown, and had so much rest and relaxation reading down by the lake.
Only 1 tiny annoying thing, anytime we tried to use more that 1 stove burner or oven, smoke detector went off, with no smoke in the cottage.
otherwise an amazing week away.

Great stay
We had a great time at your cabin! We stayed with my daughter and partners parents and had so much fun playing board games in this cozy cabin. My daughter especially enjoyed practicing her gymnastics in the large, clean yard with soft grass. We used the BBQ and ate out on the deck enjoying the quietness and beautiful view of the lake. The kayaks were a bonus to cruise around the lake as well. We were not far from the ferry to visit mackinac island. Everything was perfect. Thank you
Everything was perfect except for the huge carpenter ants everywhere. We had to keep everything in the fridge because ants were all over in the kitchen and bathroom.

It was perfect except for ants.
Everything was perfect except for the huge carpenter ants that were relentless. We had to put our dry goods in the fridge- nothing could be left on the counter or table. They were in the bathroom as well. Otherwise, the location was good, the cottage was clean and we loved the lake, kayaks, fire pit, etc.

Liked: Check-in
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Check in was fine however the photos of the space were misleading by the photography showing the space to be larger than it was - the kitchen was smaller than a NYC apartment kitchen which made cooking for 4 people difficult. I didn't mind the older cabin decor (art, knickknacks and bedspreads) however the kitchen items (pots, pans, flatware, etc) were VERY OLD and had so many scrapes in the teflon, that it felt unsafe to cook food on them. We desperately needed at least 1 cookie sheet (which seems rather basic). We could of used at least 2 hand towels in the kitchen. The paper products (paper towels and TP) were the most cheap one could buy in a store that it was frustrating to spend so much on the rental to be given less than bare minimum. We would of reached out to the host about these items but they clearly think this is good enough, and then we learned that the cabin next to us didn't have a working refrigerator for their stay and the hosts solution was to give them 4 bags of ice for 5 days so I knew my concerns would of been dismissed. The beds in both bedrooms were very lumpy and one side of the mattress would create a "hole" if our spouses also got in the bed. The second bedroom lacked any dresser or storage. We did enjoy the lake, boats and fire pit but there was no supplies to properly extinguish the fire, or shovel to remove coals so that was concerning. I understand that this is an older style of cabin, it should be rented at a 2 person experience due to its size.

Hi Andrea, the right vacation home is everything, and we're sorry to hear this one didn’t quite meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:-The cottage’s square footage is reflected in the listing, but we understand it felt tight when preparing meals for four.-The kitchen essentials will be reviewed and updated where needed, including cookware and utensils.-There is a shovel and rakes stored in the shed by the water for fire safety, and we’ll work on making them easier to find.-Mattress comfort varies by guest, but we’re taking a closer look and considering potential replacements. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback as we continue working to improve the guest experience!
