Located on the pristine shores of Lake Huron, just one mile south of Mackinaw City and is on a natural beach. Enjoy the beautiful view where Lake Michigan and Lake Huron meet and of the Mackinac Bridge and historic Mackinac Island. The Straits of Mackinac are narrow waterways in the state of Michigan between Michigan's Lower and Upper Peninsulas. The main strait flows under the Mackinac Bridge and connects two of the Great Lakes, Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. You can enjoy all the flavors that the Mackinaw area has to offer and minutes be back in your Northern Michigan retreat.

See breathtaking sunrises from your private patio. Take a dip in our heated beachfront pool. Relax on our private natural sandy beach or sundeck. Absolutely Wonderful

This condo has everything you would need. Comfortable with a super comfortable king bed, lots of room, super clean and spacious. We absolutely loved it, the pool was perfect and views were great. We were able to check in a little early thanks to Carol! The pictures don’t do it justice, we have stayed here before and other units on the property, we will definitely be back!

Getaway weekend

My husband and I road bikes on the island and had cocktails on the Grand Hotel porch. Weather was perfect! We star gazed at night at Headlands Dark park on the beach. Totally cool park experience! Go for sunset (stunning) take your cooler and card games, or hike the trail while you wait for the stars to come out! Look through the telescope’s! Rock hounding second day. Take black fly spray! Excellent weekend! Ate a Hooks Lakeside Grill and really liked the atmosphere and food. Condo was impeccable!

Condo Needs Updating

First the condo was very clean. However as others have mentioned there are signs all over about removing your shoes and no smoking. I understand this is a rental unit that she would like to keep in good shape but one simple notice of the ground rules would suffice. And all of the furniture needs to be updated. The couch is very hard to get up from as you sink very deeply in to it. And the bed needs to be replaced with something that is actually comfortable. And while you do have water views, none of the pictures regarding the rental show that you are looking directly at the pool house. We would stay in one of the hotels that are on the water in the city for our next visit.

This was a trip to fulfill a 40 yr dream of seeing this area for my friend. She loved it and I enjoyed being the host for her trip. The condo was a grest way to start off. Good location, clean, very nice atmosphere and views.

High School Graduation Trip

Loved the ease of everything from booking to check-in and check-out. Very clean unit facing both the lake and the pool. Super friendly people in the condo complex! Several stopped and talked with my 18-year-old niece and me when we were outside. We felt very welcome at The Shores. Great communication with property manager. Would definitely stay again! Awesome condo with great views.

My husband and I brought our granddaughter for a visit to Mackinac Island. This was a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. My granddaughter loved the pool. Fun Fall Getaway

My wife and I scheduled a week stay from October 22-October 29. We didn't realize we were checking in at the end of the tourist season. We tried to prepare ourselves for the disappointment of cold weather and nothing to do. It turns out we went at the perfect time. We were able to visit Mackinac island, enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride, and explore The Grand Hotel. There were no crowds. It was great! We also took a day trip to the upper peninsula. The autumn leaves were showing off their vibrant colors and the dark sky park thrilled us with shooting stars and the Milky Way. The condo was spotless, conveniently located, and had an abundance of closet space for our jackets, coats, hiking boots, and etc. Everything we needed (plus some unexpected treats) were stocked. What a great experience!

Owners of neighboring condos very friendly and welcoming. Property was lovely, did feel pressure regarding amount of signage of keeping the home and carpets clean.

Great location for a base to explore the area

We enjoyed our time here - the pool and beach access were great, and it was a great location to use as a base to explore the area. Best of all, it was close to things, but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet.

We grew up in Michigan and still live and work in Michigan. Mackinaw City has always been our family's favorite vacation destination in Michigan. We never tire of visiting Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island and Northern Michigan.

Why they chose this property

We were actually walking in the Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Walk and then spent the day on Mackinac Island. When taking the Mackinac Island ferry back to Mackinaw City we drove past the new condos being built at the Shores of Mackinaw 49701 in Sept 2001 and simply fell in love with this Luxury Condominium Complex located on the Shores of Lake Huron directly facing Mackinac Island and also a spectacular view of the Mackinaw Bridge. It doesn't get any better than this in Mackinaw City!

What makes this property unique

Our condominium has a wonderful and informative conceirge service. Our condo is within walking distance of a heated swimming pool with a spectacular view of Lake Huron and Mackinac Island. Bonfires on the beach every evening during the summertime are the norm. Excellent view of the 4th of July fireworks from our beach every year. Golfing at the Mackinac Club is always enjoyable. We can walk to the Mackinac Island ferries, the lighthouse, beaches, Fort Michilamackinac & visit great restaurants and shops. We can drive to St. Ignace Casino, Tahquamenon Falls, Lex Cheneaux Islands, Sault St. Marie, Drummond Island and only an hour away from Petoskey's excellent shopping atomosphere.
