Relax at the lake in this beautiful lakefront vacation home on Lake George. This home will provide you with everything you need during your vacation. With amazing views from every room, a large open floor plan, fully equipped kitchen, 50 feet of lakefront, and an expansive lakeside grand patio, there is plenty of space for anyone and any age to enjoy. Popular activities on this family friendly lake include boating, sailing, jet-skiing, skiing, and swimming. Great fishing also makes it a desired lake for fisherman! Clear nights provide excellent stargazing from our quiet dock or yard.
Autumn offers spectacular foliage and cooler days to enjoy a local restaurant or winery. In the winter, guests can ice fish, ice skate, sled down our hill, cross-country ski, or use the toboggan run at Pokagon State Park 3 miles away.

We have plenty of space for your vacation toys! Bring your kayak, paddle board, or boat and launch from our front yard or the free public boat ramp on the lake. We have space for you to secure your boat alongside our dock. Grab sidewalk chalk for our large driveway or have an epic squirt gun battle by the lake. Pack a ball to kick around the yard or inflatable floats for some sunbathing while floating on the lake.

On rainy days, we've got you covered! We have a large collection of board games, books, DVDs, and jigsaw puzzles. And nothing is better than a quiet nap while listening to the rain drops on the roof. A rainy day is also a great day to check out the entertainment offerings in our area!

Nearby you will find a diverse choice of entertainment including golfing, Satek Winery, theaters, Outlet Mall, dining, antique shopping, bowling, horseback riding, go-carting, movies, hiking at Pokagon State Park, and Wild Buffalo Farms.
The property is also a short 30-minute car ride to the Auburn/Cord Duesenberg Museum. The WWII Victory Museum is also located in Auburn. Another tourist attraction is Shipshewana, Indiana, an area defined by its Mennonite and Amish communities about 45 minutes by car. Blueberry picking is 20 minutes away in season.

The home was on Lake George in Coldwater, Michigan. Very quiet and safe neighborhood. We were about an hour or so from Indiana Dunes National Park and about thirty minutes from Auburn Dusenberg Cord Museum.

We have stayed at this property numerous times before this stay. We have always found it to be excellently taken care of and managed. The kitchen facility is well stocked with dishes and utensils. The yard and patio area is a great place to relax. No complaints of any kind.

This is our 2nd time staying at this property on Lake George and we have fallen in love with this place. The house is perfect! Weather was perfect! The host Casey is wonderful! I would recommend this property to all looking for a relaxing vacation at the Lake:)

We stayed a few nights for a family wedding nearby. The house is fully stocked with all that we needed, and shops are nearby for any extras. Clean, spacious, easy communication with host/mgr. Would definitely recommend if staying on Lake George!

Annual Gathering of Friends

This was our third time staying here. Lovely home, one of the best stocked kitchens ever, beautiful lake view, charming decor … we just really like this house!! Owner/property manager is excellent to work with, responds quickly and seems very nice. Our group has stayed at several locations over our 30+ years of annual get togethers and this place is definitely a favorite - will be back.

Family Weekend

My family and I had a great time together. It rained or was overcast most of the weekend, but we had fun playing cards and board games. It was also nice to watch college football. The owners pizza recommendation was fantastic!

A Very Spacious and Beautiful Cottage

Wonderful place to stay. Lots of space for 1 or 2 families. Open Concept on first floor, with lots of windows and a nice view of the lake. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, fully furnished patio, plenty of shade if needed and plenty of parking. It would be hard to say anything negative about this cottage. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great house and lake

If I could give 4.5 stars, I would. The house was a good set up, well stocked kitchen for utensils and cookware, lovely lake setting, lots of dock room, and awesome patios. The only downfall was the cleanliness of the house (I think the cleaners need to do a deep clean). When we had an issue with the fridge not cooling, the owners were very responsive, helped fix the issue, and found us a fridge to store things in for the meantime. The lake is lovely for all sports and fishing: we caught lots of bluegill and sunfish right off the dock.

Perfect week on Lake George

Excellent week on this quiet, relaxing lake. Location on the lake is outstanding, the house is in fine shape - super neighbors and neighborhood. The pontoon boat rental through Corner Landings to cruise the lake was just perfect. Heartily / highly recommend.

Our family has rented this wonderful property five times, and we hope to return for many more vacations. The home is serene, convenient, and spacious enough for at least eight guests. Since it is located right on the water, there are ample opportunities to enjoy bird watching.

End of Summer Getaway

We loved the uniqueness of the property. We never found kitchen towels, napkins, or tin foil, which was surprising. We also ran out of paper towels. Otherwise it was very well stocked and beautiful inside and out!

Perfect location for a family vacation!

This combination historical log cabin with modern updates is perfect for our gathering with our two adult children and their families. The five bedrooms and three full baths gives everyone their own space. Gathering for meals in the spacious open dining/living area that can seat 10 around the table is great. The kitchen is better stocked with pans, plates, flatware and knives than mine at home. Everything you need is provided. The beautiful outdoor living spaces are also very nice with a large deck with table and chairs, firepit, picnic table and dock. The family that owns the home couldn't be any nicer to work with. This was our second year to rent Peace By George, but it won't be our last.

Great location for us

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place is open floor plan and big kitchen table. Kids enjoyed the dock with the bench and the tree swing got lots of use.
