Hen weekend

We had the most amazing stay in this house over the weekend! The house keeper was always just a text away and so quick at responding! The house is absolutely amazing, such a beautiful place and location ❤️ I really could not recommend this place enough. Thank you so much for having us and letting us send our friend off into married life in style!

Family Wedding

Great house to host our family, as we were going to my daughter's wedding. Amazing en suite rooms. So get there first. Comfortable beds, good nights sleep. Lovely welcome basket, great additional stuff, like Wup liquid, herbs and spices. Bathroom essentials etc Soft towels. Great hot tub.

Super house for a celebration

We rented for a 70th birthday with 16 friends. The house is superbly presented and very suited to a large gathering. The main room easily accommodated us all and was brilliant for socialising. Bedrooms were lovely. we didnt use the grounds (too cold!) but the hardy ones braved the hot tub and approved. Area is lovely for walks. Check in and communication with the Housekeeper were brilliant. Not easy to find venues for this size of party, but this is a gem!

The perfect hen house!

Everything was spot on from start to finish. The communication with David and then via Jayne was brilliant- any questions or concerns I had they were always promptly willing to help. They were flexible with check in time. The property was exactly how we expected and wanted. It is spacious and clean with beautiful views and a dreamy hot tub in a lovely area. It was the perfect party house. Jayne even posted me my charger back when I left it!! The only initial surprise to me was that it was next to the main road but this really didn’t matter when we were there and when you’re round the back you can’t even tell. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay. Couldn’t recommend highly enough for a group stay.

Perfect weekend

This lovely house is perfect for a large group. The pictures don’t do the living space justice. The dining table easily seats 17. There was plenty of room for all of us to chill- I loved that there were multiple rooms to hang out in. The outdoor space with the hot tub was gorgeous with views over the hills. We even had some resident sheep from the field next door milling about which was sweet. The layout of the bedrooms worked really well and the top floor bedroom was stunning. The owners thought of every little detail - the kitchen already had everything we could possibly need. The team were always quick to respond and very friendly to talk to. The location was perfect, being only a few minutes walk from the canal and a very easy commute via car or public transport into Manchester. We would definitely stay again!

Vrbo no property yes

Had no end of problems with Vrbo trying to make final payment. Lots of stress caused. House was perfect for our purposes and lady who ran it was excellent.

Hen do with a difference

The house was everything and more, beautiful spacious, clean and modern. Bedrooms were beautifully decorated, and beds lovely and comfy. Hot tub, bbq and enough space to have some alone time. Would stay again with family to go walking and visit the lake.

Family get together

Renting experience went well though Covid restrictions meant that we were very unsure until the last minute if the holiday would take place. Interesting property, plenty of space for 14 people of various ages. Kitchen was missing several pieces of equipment, but these were quickly provided by housekeeper. Property is right on a busy road, so quite a lot of traffic noise. Not enough comfortable seating in either lounge. Despite these comments, would recommend Bird i'th hand, comfy beds, good showers, endless hot water, good hot tub and a great place for walking, site seeing and shopping.

Family Holiday

As a family of 15, it was perfect for us. Beautiful setting although when we arrived we were surprised that it was on a main road as we had small children with us.There was no need to worry as there is plenty of garden for them to play on at the back. The property was really clean and everything that we wanted and needed

Wonderful property!

We recently stayed at this house to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was fantastic from beginning to end. Jayne looks after the property and was really helpful with any questions we had, and it was a lovely touch to get a welcome package with milk and snacks. The house itself was immaculate with everything you need. Despite the weather the views from the hot tub were beautiful and towels are even provided. The canal path is only over the road and we walked to a lovely pub called The Summit for some proper home cooked food. Would highly recommend!

It's an amazing place, much better than the pictures

The check in instructions were spot on, found the place with no problems at all. The house is bigger than I expected, very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The views from the Jacuzzi alone is worth the money you would pay to stay in this property. Overall, an unforgettable and great experience, only wished I booked it for longer.

Absolutely Brilliant

Stopped here with my wife and 2 kids (12 and 16), the house was obviously massive for a family of 4 but we all appreciated the extra space. The house was immaculate on arrival, the cleaners/housekeeper clearly work hard to prepare the house for new guests. We were there for a few nights to celebrate my wife's birthday and despite the horrendous weather we had an amazing time. The house is huge! What we did notice is the finish of the decorating/furnishing was in a different league to places we have stayed previously, we stayed in another large house a couple months ago for 3 times the cost of this but the quality of the house is on a different level. The hot tub was glorious, the views are amazing The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, we cooked a couple of meals in the time we were there and had no issues at all. This is not a complaint with the house more info for anyone booking. we normally arrange a supermarket delivery for the day we arrive and have never had any problems, but only sainsbury's recognized the postcode (despite there being a morrisons 5-10 minutes down the road). In the end the delivery driver from Sainsbury's couldn't find the house despite me speaking to him on the phone and he just didn't bother turning up, after contacting their support centre the delivery had just been cancelled and blamed me for putting in the wrong address. The address was the exact same address i entered on google maps to get there and arrived just fine! So word of advice, if you want a delivery don't use sainsbury's Contact with the owner and house keeper was great, they were very responsive when i had some queries, couldn't fault the house at all, wouldnt hesitate to book again

Family holiday

This is a beautiful property with plenty of space to sleep/socialise. We had 6 kids with us and there was a separate room for them to play in too. Great canal/hill walks over the road from the property. Loved the hot tub. Hosts were great with communication/instructions. It is on main road so slight noise with traffic - no bother though. We had a lovely time staying here. Thank you!

Beautiful property, views are fantastic. Great for a large group

Lovely property. The weather wasn't right for the hot tub, which would be great in the summer. The welcome gift was much appreciated. The facilities and rooms were all great. The views were great but you are on a main road. However there wasn't any road noise as it is well insulated. The property has lots of character. Everyone in the group enjoyed their stay.

Excellent stay for a large group of friends.

As a large group of work friends we recently stayed at the bird ith hand for the weekend to celebrate birthdays, hen do an a retirement. What can I say the house is beautiful, the owners very helpful and answered any queries in a timely manner and the surrounding area was also lovely. Would I stay here again? Yes definitely x
