Wolfeboro Lakehouse Retreat

I’m apologize that the property was not what was expected. I use it regularly myself and when I was last there 2 weeks before most of the items listed were not an issue. Sadly a previous guest broke or lost a number of items (kayak seat, paddle, broken glass, row boat, peddle boat) which I am in the process of fixing/replacing. We also use the grill constantly but I agree it is on the older side so I have ordered a new one. Unfortunately the hot tub was damaged over the winter by rodents (we are deep in the woods!) and I removed it from the listing (but after the last guest made their original booking). Again my apologies to you and your family that the previous guest damaged so much stuff. I hope you will consider coming bqck next year to enjoy the lake. Thanks, Richard

For the non German speakers here is the translation! You can not live closer to the water. From the small beach, the boat dock, the rowing boat, the pedal boat and the two small kayaks you can explore the small lake well. While there are some reeds, the water is still clear and suitable for bathing. Due to the large window front and the also very spacious terrace, both with south exposure, you get in every weather enough light to feel comfortable. At lunchtime we occasionally missed a shade dispenser on the terrace. There is a very comfortable gas grill of which we have used more often. The house is equipped with everything you normally need, including Wi-Fi. There is no washing machine though. That's why you have to bring your own bed linen and your own manuals. The pictures describe the place quite well. The living room is very spacious, but the two bedrooms are smaller. The landlord has responded to our requests immediately. If you are looking for peace in the idyllic ambience of a forest and lake landscape is just right. If you like excursions, you have plenty of opportunity in the area surrounding Lake Winnipesaukee. Wolfeboro, which is a 10-minute drive away, is beautifully situated by the lake and has the necessary infrastructure for self-sufficiency.

Unfortunately Greg is right about the streaming TV service. Despite paying for the fastest plan available the quality of service degrades during peak viewing hours (I find Fri and Sat eves are when I have the most problems). At other times streaming works fine and I use it frequently. I also provide a DVD player and a bunch of DVDs for times when a guest really wants to watch a movie but the streaming service is slow. There are also "redbox" or equivalent rentals available at the local grocery store. The town of Wolfeboro also does not have any trash collection service so everyone takes their garbage to the transfer station which fortunately happens to be just up the road from the house. I plan to add a large outside trash can so there is somewhere to place excess garbage between transfer station runs.
