WATER FRONT CABIN FOR COUPLES!

No Children at this property. PLEASE BE AWARE THE WATER LEVELS ARE UNUSUALLY LOW RIGHT NOW. THIS MAKES THE DOCK UNSAFE. YOU STILL HAVE WATER ACCESS AND ITS STILL PRIVATE AND A SHORT WALK TO KYAKS AND BOAT NOW. Adults only. Lakeside Haven is located in a prime area of Watauga Lake with the opportunity to rent a pontoon boat and keep at the house overnight. You wont need to spend your precious daylight hours running back and forth to the Marina. This little cabin is nestled under canopy of trees with it's decks overhanging the beautiful waters of Watauga Lake. Very private. The absolute magical quality of the outside living area is what keeps people leaving the 5 star reviews and coming back year after year.

Lakeside Haven's indoor space is 850 sq. ft. We have an outdoor living space that consists of a large 4 person Hot Tub just outside the door on the main upper deck. Our Hot Tub is drained scrubbed and refilled after every guest leaves and we use very minimal chemicals. So no human soup to sit in or dangerous harsh chemicals for our guests. We have a gas grill and a large Patio table and Umbrella. On the lower deck you will find 2 very nice lounge chairs for reading or napping in the shade, between the two lounge chairs you will find a gas fire pit to enjoy at night. Follow the footpath down to the water to find the dock and if you choose that is where your pontoon boat will await you. From there you can boat or fish to your hearts content from daylight to dark if you choose.


2015 AVALON PONTOON AVAILABLE FOR RENT. Have your pontoon delivered to your private dock and have it stay there for your use during your entire stay. Very secluded, water front property situated on banks of Watauga lake! 1 KING BED BRAND NEW TEMPERPEDIC MATTRESS, 1 Queen size Sofa Bed. HOT TUB, Central AC and Heat. Stove, Oven, Microwave, Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Washer & Dryer, TV, Cable, WiFi. Two beautiful decks hanging over Watauga Lake. Boat Dock with complimentary 2 Kayaks . Public boat ramp just a few miles away so bring your own watercraft or rent one from us! Plenty of parking for boat and jet ski's. Local Grocery just 15 minutes away.

Cabin is perfect for two!Host is responsive and cabin was very clean.The deck is wonderful to sit in the shade or sun.Due to the lake water being low, the dock was very steep to navigate to the water; did not attempt it without grippy shoes.

Beautiful setting. The cabin is clean, fluffy fresh towels, comfortable bed, full kitchen, perfect hot tub. And on the lake but it is a steep ramp down to the lake, at least in July it was. Very quiet area and we were able to dock our jet skis at the dock. Go to the grocery store before you get here!! It's a long drive to the grocery store! We had no cell coverage here, but the WiFi worked well. Bring shampoo and conditioner, and mostly cook in. Cute restaurant called the Goat House not too far away and it was yummy!

It was a disappointing arrival in that the toilet seat wasn’t clean at all, so it made for a rough start. Wondered how clean the rest of the place was. Our host informed us the day before our check in that the dock wasn’t available to us due to the low lake, which of course was no fault of our host, but the lake level had been low for a long time talking to locals. All in all, I guess our expectations were higher than what was reality. In our opinion, the cabin wasn’t worth the price.

I’m sorry you felt that way. I apologize for the toilet seat. It was a SERVICE TECH if you look at my review, you’ll see nothing but comments about how clean the place was and I didn’t see anything that you said was dirty besides that little spot on the toilet. When you booked the first line in my listing says the levels are low. That’s the first thing I tell anybody right now because I don’t wanna mislead anybody The Lake levels are low. It was not my intention to mislead you. I thought everyone knew it, including you. I just sent that as a reminder where you will find the kayaks and how to access the boat. My intention was never to mislead again. Look at my listing. My first line is Lake levels are low. I don’t want anyone booking thinking it’s going to be different than that.

Great cabin

We had a great stay! Back porch overlooking the lake was our go to spot for relaxing in the shade. Just a few minutes away from the Mercantile for breakfast and Villa Nova winery for a great evening for live music and enjoying the views. We definitely recommend this cabin if you’re looking to unwind and recharge.

This property is very secluded, it is hidden and shaded by many beautiful trees. You can sit on the deck enjoy the view while you eat your breakfast every morning and in the evening sit in the hot tub naked as a Jay-Bird if that is your wish no one will see you!

What makes this property unique

I love this property because it so well hidden from the view of neighbors as well as the lake traffic. You can sit out on the deck in the hot tub and enjoy the peaceful wooded privacy and a view of the beautiful Watauga Lake or jump in the Kayak and go for an evening row.
