We loved our stay here in such peaceful surroundings -lovely views and wildlife and also easy to access local places from here. Friendly hosts and a superb welcome pack of edibles for us to enjoy. Lovely and warm inside, excellent Wi-Fi and safe parking.
Very lovely and clean property. Hosts were great. Fresh eggs, milk and home-made bread and jam were a lovely welcome gift.Very peaceful and would definitely stay again.
A lovely place to stay. Comfortable well-equipped cottage in a quiet but convenient location. Owners were helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble.
For the price you pay this property is great for a weekend stay over in Norfolk. Martin was very hospitable on arrival and Jane communicated well with during the whole booking. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in Norfolk for a short getaway.
A very comfortable stay in a peaceful location. Our host made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble .The cottage was very cosy, clean and well equipped. We would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely perfect in every way. Lovely touches including homemade bread and fresh eggs left. Communication with owners brilliant and lovely to meet Jane and Bertie when we arrived.
Lovely little cottage with a nice welcome pack of homemade jam and bread along with a few other bits.
Clean and tidy throughout the property with everything you need for a long weekend.
This is an excellent place well sited for exploring Norfolk. It’s in a peaceful setting. We were warmly welcomed and appreciated the extra touches made that added to the specialness of our stay. Thoroughly recommend.
Our two-night stay was amazing! The pictures do not do the cottage justice, there is so much character and it is so homely. Jane was an amazing host and helped us get the cottage when we got a little lost. The cottage was immaculate when we arrived and there was a small selection of fresh eggs and homemade bread and jams for us to enjoy. We would love to come and stay again and would highly recommend the cottage!
Spotlessly clean, so lovely and peaceful. Cottage full of character and such a welcoming feel about the place. We have booked again. Owners very friendly and not at all intrusive. Lovely walks around the small-holding which is kept very tidy. To think it is eco-friendly too was a bonus. This really was a perfect holiday in every way.
We thoroughly enjoyed our break at The Cottage and enjoyed the flowers, wild life and the area in general.
Thank you for the edible goodies you left for us. Also for the clear instructions on how to find Stubbs Barn.
Norfolk and Suffolk are beautiful counties. We also managed a bit of Family History at Lowestoft Record Office.. Best Wishes from Ruth and Clive.
We really enjoyed our weeks stay at Stubbs Barn Cottage. It is set in grounds down a long track so is well away from the road. There are sheep in the field at the back of the cottage and rabbits come onto your patio during the day.
We had a very warm welcome from Mrs Dutton who showed us round the barn and explained what was in the grounds and that it was open for us to explore.
There was a variety of food she had left for us, free of charge, which included strawberries, milk, biscuits, eggs, muesli and vegetables. What a lovely touch. In terms of equipment there was everything you could possibly need, indeed it was the best equipped cottage we have been in. We will definitely book it again if we come back to this area.

Thank you for your lovely review. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you here again when you are back in the area.
The lodge is perfect for a get away from anywhere and everyone. You have your private garden and look out onto the fields in front. There is a gravel drive to you lodge and plenty of parking.
Lodge well equipped with T&C provided and the host very kindly made bread, left butter, milk and homemade jam or not forgetting the fresh eggs.
They have chickens, ducks and geese, which are all kept secure, and no you dont hear the cockerill in the morning.
There is under floor heating and believe me it, its plenty warm enough in the lodge.
The TV is a little smaller than we are used too, but you do have access to many channels plus a DVD player.
We had a christmas tree in the room which was lovely and made it all feel very cosy.
Towels and bed linen all good quality.
You have a supply of cleaning materials in the lodge already, washing tablets, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid etc etc .
JUst make sure you go into Loddon across the road. There are plenty of places to visit: The Angel is lovely, The Swan is a great pub, but has a great restaurant upstairs with good quality food give it a go.
Warm, cosy and clean property which was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 children.
Hosts were so welcoming, and left a delightful welcome pack which include delicious homemade bread, fresh eggs from their chickens and some milk for a cuppa - much needed after a 3 hour drive.
We loved the location being less than 30 minutes to Norwich, and 35 minutes to Great Yarmouth and the rest of the Norfolk and Suffolk coast.
We hope to be back and for a longer stay next time!
A wonderful week in a warm cozy secluded cottage. Every thing was first class, would recommend this little gem in Norfolk. Loads of places to visit within 30 mins. drive. Suffolk is just down the road with its wonderful coast. A big thank you for our weeks holiday. Ron
Beautifully converted, spacious and private property. Faces south so flooded with light and patio a great place to sit even at the end of October. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. Jane and her husband very helpful.
