Wonderful Five Week Stay

Highly recommend this property and host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from check-in to check-out. The property was immaculate upon arrival, and we were pleased that the host reached out to us within the hour to verify that we had what we needed and were comfortable with the amenities. He was very responsive to the rare questions we had during our stay. The home was spacious and the furniture very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and soaker tub, and the tv in the lanai was a great perk. The dock provided convenient and successful fishing opportunities, and the boat traffic and occasional dolphin in the canal were fun to watch from the patio. While located on a busy street, the circular driveway assisted with access to the roadway, and little street noise was heard from inside the house or lanai. We would definitely rent this property again if available.

Beautiful Canal Lot

Upon arrival the house was spacious and clean. Wife commented that it showed better than the pictures. We enjoyed most of our time under the lanai or around the pool. Terrific sunset views over a spacious canal intersection. Steve was very accommodating and responded quickly to inquiries. Well equipped and very comfortable. Located on a busy street but close to city center and quiet in the evening. We stayed for a month; didn't want to leave and would love to return.

Great time in Beautiful Punta Gorda

A beautiful property that is extremely comfortable for a great 1 month vacation stay. Steve and his wife where very responsive to all our questions in a very timely fashion. His beautiful pool, hot tub and back patio made our vacation wonderful. If you are a person that cruises you will know what I mean when I say that “It is a day at sea”. That is how you feel when spending the day at the home around the pool and patio. Great time was had by all.

Very nice Punta Gorda escape!

Our stay at the property was largely a success and we are happy. Our only issues were the pull-out beds in the smaller bedroom (one of which should be replaced) and the process for heating the hot ub (which owner did make easier for us). The furnishings are a bit dated but we knew that from the photos. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware and appliances. Overall, I would recommend this property as a good value! Owner/manager is easy to communicate with and does everything he can to accomodate his guests.

Annual Vacation

I love this house. The owner is so easy to work with and the inside is just beautiful. We are able to keep our boat at the house to get out on the water anytime we want. I would recommend this property to anyone who want to feel right at home. It is very convenient to Fisherman's Village (which I did my daily walk to and back every morning) It is also very convenient to downtown. You will not be sorry you rented this property.

Great Escape!

We stayed here for 4 weeks, and loved every minute of it! The house is great; it had everything we needed. We docked our boat and had easy access to the harbor. We loved the pool, and beds and furniture were quite comfortable. The linens and towels could stand to be replaced, as well as the patio furniture. A table inside the lanai would have been nice, and possibly a couple more TVs in the bedrooms. Overall, a great house in a great little city!

Property was great and well kept. Am a little disappointed in what looks like a substantial price increase for next year. With that said on a smaller note I would suggest upgrading the linens. They were all really worn. The kitchen linen was lacking also. Regular kitchen linen would have been more appropriate than the wash cloths provided. Bed linen had small holes. While the checkout procedure said empty cabinets, in the several years we have rented there has always at least been salt and pepper. Just a little thing but nice gesture for the next renter. Overall, definitely a great rental at a great location. The owners are great to work with on anything that might need attention. It's a home we would definitely rent more than once but not at the increased amount.

Comfort Plus!

We enjoyed our six weeks in this beautiful home, and a highlight was the heated pool and spa. We spent many hours lounging there, and in the evenings we enjoyed the family room directly off the pool for tv, card games or reading. Any questions or problems we had were immediately answered to our satisfaction by Steve. We rarely used the outdoor eating area and would have preferred a table under the lanai, but that is just our preference because we often ate after sunset. The kitchen is very well equipped, and all appliances (including the washer and dryer) worked well. We did have to purchase a coffee maker (since we don't like keurig) and some cleaning supplies for upkeep of the bathrooms and kitchen. Thank you for opening this attractive home for our use. I wish we were the ones retiring there!

Great Vacation!

The house is lovely, as expected, with a great kitchen/dining/ family room living space. However, the view when entering the house is beautiful. Beyond the living room, first you see the lanai and pool and then your eye wanders down the back yard to the canal and palm trees. Our time spent outdoors is what we enjoyed most. The lanai amenities, including overhead fans, a TV, a grill, a fridge and pass-thru window to the kitchen, meant we needed for nothing – there is even an outdoor bathroom! Along with the heated pool and the colorful sunsets reflecting in the canal, we enjoyed a summer vacation in January!

Terrific home and gracious owners!

My family I had the pleasure of renting this fantastic home for 1 week (Oct. 5-12, 2016) in Punta Gorda, Florida. Everything was as advertised or better! The home was extremely clean and every room was beautifully furnished and decorated. The pool was great and the lanai area is large and accommodating, and with plenty of comfortable furniture, outdoor TV, refrigerator, and grill, you could spend all day out there. The home is located on a calm canal in the Punta Gorda Isles area just west of the old downtown Punta Gorda, and just far enough off busy Route 41 to be an extremely quiet neighborhood. Yet it was just a couple minutes from various shopping outlets, grocery stores, the fishing docks and Fisherman's Village, a fantastic array of restaurants, and many other interesting places to visit. There are 3 bedrooms, plus a sofa sleeper in the family room that would easily accommodate 8 adults. The house itself is possibly the nicest home in the surrounding area. If anyone is looking for a Florida destination that is a bit quieter and not so close to the overpopulated and overly-commercialized areas of Tampa, Ft. Myers, Orlando, or Miami, this is it. Yet those cities are all just a short drive away. We also visited the beautiful and quiet nearby warm water gulf beaches of Englewood Beach & Boca Grande Beach, and there are other attractions such as air boat rides, fishing, water sports, and nature parks nearby as well. The local community are wonderful people- a mix of long-time residents and retirees. There are numerous golf courses nearby for those interested in golf. We are already looking at next year's schedule to find a time to come back and spend more time here. It was tremendous! Thanks to the owners, who were very gracious. We'd highly recommend this place.

Great lanai and backyard

Lanai and backyard is second to none. The TV in the lanai is a great touch. We were outside almost all the time, incl meals. Layout of the house is perfect. However the house is on a very busy street and we found it not suitable for young children. Steve (the owner) is excellent to work with, and he goes out of his way to help. Unfortunately we had many problems during our month (dishwasher, pool heater, dryer, garage door opener)----absolutely no fault of Steve. In fact he was very responsive to our issues - just not an ideal way to spend some vacation days. I feel some money may need to be spent to keep this house as a rental property.

Excellent Home

We would highly recommend this home for a stay in Punta Gorda. The layout of the home was perfect for us with a large family room right off the kitchen, large master bedroom and a huge lanai which was partly covered. This allowed you to sit outside either in the sun or shade. Steve and Terri did an excellent job in communicating with us and answering any questions that we had. If any issues had come up (which they did not) there was no doubt that they would have been taken care of immediately. The location was great as we could walk or ride bikes anywhere in Punta Gorda. We daily enjoyed sitting both inside and outside watching the boats travel back and forth through the canal. I do feel one of the best features of the house were the two lazy boy chairs. Don't get rid of them.

Excellent Home

Our family (with two teens) stayed at this home through August, September, and October while we found and purchased a house in PGI. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality experience. The owners were accommodating and very nice throughout the entire process. The house has fantastic views down a long canal. Lots of fish just off the dock. The fenced backyard is perfect for a dog. The house itself is well furnished with a lot of the small touches that make a house more than just a house. The very large heated pool is in great condition. Kitchen well equipped with RO water system. Neighborhood very friendly and quiet. Walking distance to Fisherman's Village and several parks. We were certainly glad to move into our own home, but were almost sad to leave this great place.

Awesome home

House was beautiful and very well maintained, wonderful view of water. Location was great close to expressways which made it easy to get to beaches and other attractions. Steve and Terri were easy to work with and we will recommend this vacation home to all are friends back home Anderson family
