Welcome to Ocean East 1 on the Eastside of Chincoteague Island. This lovely End-Unit Townhome has it all - a comfortable layout, sweeping Views of the Assateague Channel & Lighthouse, Water Access, and even welcomes your well-trained Family Dog!

As you enter Ocean East 1, all eyes will be on your breathtaking Views - you can already feel yourself beginning to relax. This End-Unit Townhome has all you need to make incredible Chincoteague Island Vacation Memories. You will love the Open Floor Plan that invites everyone to spend time together and share stories of the day's Adventures. On the 1st Floor, you will find a spacious Living Area comfortably furnished and a wall of windows to the water. Relax in the Central AC while enjoying the Flat Screen Cable TV and Free WiFi after a fun-filled day on the Beach. You won't want to leave the huge Bayfront Balcony just off the Living Area - just imagine sipping your morning coffee while watching the Herons & Egrets fish for their morning meal! The well-stocked Kitchen has all you need to make mealtime a bay breeze. Enjoy meals in the Eat-in Kitchen or Al Fresco on the Balcony. The 1st Floor also has a super convenient Half Bath just off the Living Area. There is also a 1st Floor Bedroom with a Queen Bed!

Upstairs, you will find 2 more spacious Bedrooms and 2 Full Baths. Bedroom 2 is a Master with a huge King Bed, access to another Waterfront Balcony, and a Master Bath. You can see forever from here - what a great place to sink into an Adirondack with a good book. Bedroom 3 is ideal for the kids with 2 Twins and a Full Bed. There is even a Playstation 2 TV w/DVD Player when they need a little down time. There is also a 2nd Full Bath and Full Size Washer & Dryer upstairs!

Chincoteague vacation

Had a great weekend, the house was perfect. Nice view of the bay got to see plenty of wildlife right off the back porch.

Quick trip

This place had everything we needed and was in a perfect location ! The views are spectacular and we loved being able to sit out on the decks. It was wonderful that we were able to bring our dogs with us and they enjoyed too!!

Great Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time I. Chincoteague Island! Lots of crabbing, fishing, biking, exploring the wildlife refuge. We saw the Asseteague ponies and lots of dolphins as well as many birds! Great restaurants and shopping! Our house was biking distance to everything!

A very nice visit

The place was as advertised: comfortable, clean, in good location.The property managers were easy to reach and very helpful.We stayed during the off season (mid-December) and many establishments were closed. The VRBO fees were a bit excessive considering it was off-season.Overall, we had a very relaxing and pleasant trip

Stunning View

My husband, pup, and I just couldn’t believe our good fortune for finding this place! Both floors have gorgeous views and fully equipped decks to enjoy them on. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. We loved our stay and will definitely be back next year!

A weekend in Chincoteague

The property was very comfortable with a very well stocked kitchen. The unit is close to Assateague and not far from downtown Chincoteague. A nice quiet location with a fabulous view of the Chincoteague Inlet and Assateague Island. An excellent location for lots of birding without going any further than the porch!

Views

We did a lot of bike riding and spent a lot of time on the upper deck bird watching and just enjoying the sights. For sure next time we will bring kayaks.

Beautiful view

The view and location was amazing. I loved hearing the geese. I didn’t give it 5stars because the dishwasher was broken and rug in the living room could use a good cleaning. The house is dated. Location is the main attraction of this property.

Cannot top the view or location. Kids loved learning to paddle board on the creek. Comfy house. Small side yard for our pup. Company was awesome to work with. Check in and out was super easy. Great communication. Got to watch a launch from Wallops too!Need a new steamer pot for all those crabs we caught right off the dock! The insert was missing, so we had to make do! Kitchen could also use some other things as well - lighter, grilling utensils, etc. Luckily the dollar store was nearby!Also, some nails were exposed on the upstairs deck! Had a few close calls with bare feet. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Enjoy crabbing , bird watching and kayak in canal through wetlands of island.

The weather limited our beach time but we were able to explore the island activities. The property owner responded to maintenance needs promptly. The kitchen would be more functional if the owner would clean out all shelves and drawers and replace necessary items leaving space for food items brought .

Beautiful view

Great location convenient to restaurants and Assateague. The view from the porch is beautiful and the deck furniture is really nice. The appliances are ok. The kitchen drawers and cabinets need to be thoroughly scrubbed and organized. Allot of the things in the drawers needs to be discarded. The Master bed is ok. The other beds are very uncomfortable and could benefit from quality mattress toppers. Sheets and towels were clean.

Nice Beach Getaway

I want to start by saying overall it was a great stay and quiet getaway. The check in process was easy and communication with the property manager was great. There were a few downsides however which is why I gave it 4 stars overall. To start, some of the pots and pans and kitchen tools could use some updating. Also, there were some dead bugs throughout the house stuck to the walls - perhaps the cleaning service didnt notice though. Also, the downstairs bedroom mattress could use an upgrade as it dips down in the middle but I found the upstairs bed comfortable. The house was a tad smaller that I imagined from the pictures, but it was only a problem because we had a larger dog and a crazy child ^_^ The view, quietness and convenience of the home made up for everything though - we wish we had another day or two left to stay!

Beautiful Views

The property definitely needs updating. Several of the blinds were usable but broken on the bottom. The 1st floor bedroom smelled musty. (Fortunately we did not need to use that bedroom.) My son-in-law had to replace a part on the master bedroom toilet so that it would not run continuously. (It made it hard to sleep.) He also bought parts to repair the telescope so that we could use it. The shower wand holder in the master bedroom broke as soon as it was used. OVERALL, despite these issues the property was PERFECT!! It is an end unit. There was a nice piece of yard for the dog to use. We were able to put our kayaks and canoe in from the dock. (A floating dock would have helped for low tide.) The view of Assateague was spectacular. We were able to see shooting stars, a "baby" rocket launch, and a wonderful variety of birds from our deck and dock. I am very happy we chose that particular property. It was well worth it.

First time in Chincoteague. Our stay couldn't have been better. Perfectly located to see the sun rise. Plenty of room. There were 5 plus a 2 year old. 5 minutes from the wildlife refuge. Quiet place close to all the happening spots. 9 foot kayak and paddle board in the garage. Launch from the back. I could go on but you get my drift.

Chincoteague at Christmas.

Our stay was great. The location was perfect and the view phenomenal. The unit could use some maintenance. One oven burner didn’t work. The fireplace was unusable. I couldn’t figure out how to get the master tv to work. And it could use a coat of paint on the inside to freshen it up. But I LOVED the cleanliness. Inside spaces were spotless as well as the garage and porches. And the responsiveness of Lea Anne when I texted was great also. I would definitely stay there again!!

Fantastic family getaway

Ocean’s East was a wonderful spot for our little family getaway. We loved sitting on the deck overlooking the canal and marsh, even seeing the ponies across the water. A beautiful and peaceful spot with East access to everything. Communication was great and we had plenty of space for the 5 of us. Only issue if you bring watercraft is unless it’s high tide it’s not easy to get in and out of the water. A floating dock would be a fabulous addition to this place.

Heaven in the nature!

We loved this property! Very clean, fully equipped, comfortable. You cannot beat the location: very peaceful and remote. Kids spend days on the docks crabbing, fishing, watching birds, turtles, jellyfish while high/low tides rolled in and out during the day. Beaches are just a short drive away. We hope to be back soon!

Great stay

We come to Chincoteague every year, and staying at this property was great. We met nice neighbors, the property was located in a perfect place. We loved watching all the turtles, and birds. We crabbed everyday off the dock. It was a lovely home to spend the week in.
