If you’re looking for a home away from home at the ocean, look no further than "Resting Beach Face". Centrally located in Kitty Hawk at mile marker 3.5, this gorgeous beach house offers more than just a cute name.

Four comfortable, spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms are ready to welcome you and your guests as well as a flex room. The home is beautifully decorated in cheerful, beachy colors and cozy furniture to relax in after a day of shopping or mini golf. But you don’t have to leave to have fun – everything you need for entertainment is in the house: lots of board games, a fully equipped renter's closet, streaming TVs, and an over-sized 30' long pool, spacious outdoor deck area and shaded lounge area just waiting for you to cool off in after a long day at the beach.

“Resting Beach Face” boasts views of the Atlantic Ocean from the sun deck! There is parking available for six or more cars for all of your guests to join the fun. This oceanside home is just steps from beach access. Resting Beach Face will check all of the boxes for your annual vacation at the OBX! Make wonderful memories with your friends and family, and come back year after year.

Great location, cute nags head style cottage, short walk to the beach and a small dune to surmount without the need for steps. Comfortable beds, a decently equipped kitchen and a nice pool add up to an ideal vacation spot in the obx. Only drawback was that this house backs up to two restaurants and the dumpsters being picked up at 4 am woke us up every day which ended up not being as restful vacation as we would have preferred.

Great time

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property had everything we needed plus more. It is a very short walk to the beach. The only thing i didnt like was being responible for sweeping all the floors.

The house is perfectly located right next to a beach where there are not many people on the beach, you have wonderful updated amenities throughout the house and there is a pool! The tropical storm had just passed but the weather permitted us a few sunny beach days. The house was well decorated, clean, and a nice proximity to the beach. We had 6 adults and 2 children in the house comfortably. The steps were challenging after a long day but I guess all houses have the steps. We had a nice week.

Reviewer Comments: This property was great for our family with six adults and three young children. The beach was just a five minute walk from the house and was never crowded. We loved coming back and hanging out by the pool or under the house in the shade. The property had plenty of beach chairs for our family. The living room and dining room area was spacious and the house was fully stocked and clean. Our only suggestion would be to add towel hooks on the back of the doors or in the bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again!

Reviewer Comments: Nearly everything in the house is the cheapest version possible. Beds are hard, dressers are nearly falling apart, shower heads are below builder grade, appliances feel cheap.I had to fix the wiring on several tvs when I arrived in order to get the audio and video to work.Also the first night there, a cockroach walked over my wife's foot. Needless to say, we were not pleased.

David: We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. If a phone call would have been made our Maintenance men would have come out to fix anything you needed. With the TV, unfortunately some families allow their children to move the HDMI cords for their PlayStation or other game consoles. The home is under a Pest Control Plan and gets sprayed monthly. In damp weather the Palmetto bugs do swarm. Here again, we are always a phone call away and would have addressed the issue promptly. Most people find this home pleasant and cozy and give great reviews. I am sorry you did not. We’ll be happy to help you find a more suitable home for your next vacation.

Beautiful Place with issues

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we first walked into this home we were so excited. Things started to unravel quickly. First, the bedding expense is crazy, especially with having to put it on yourself. Ours were not even left and had to call and get them. Thankfully we arrived before after hours. 2nd, the house was not cleaned and if it was, it was a really rushed job. We ended up cleaning the floors ourselves and cleaning the doorwall window so we could actually look out the window and see the ocean. I will say that once we reached out about the dirty home, a few broken items, the response time from the rental company was amazing! They seem to really care, but I wished they would have followed up as the week went along. We also had ants in the kitchen. Now, if you can get past all of that, the place itself is really nice. Spacious for all of us and the pool, hot tub, and hammock and all the extras, especially the outside shower are such a huge asset! We probably will not be back though.

very nice house

was very nice house with pool... little hard to get to beach because of the sand being so high... but we managed. we cleaned the shower curtain in master of black mold on bottom, but that and outside grill not being clean everything else was good.. we had problem with internet, password on fridge was right one.. the air conditioning was not working good. Its was 80 a few times in house...

Great vacation home with a few caveats

Overall I would definitely recommend this place. We had a great time!! Pros: Great Location! Barely a few mins walk from the beach access. The section of the beach close to the house was also less crowded than other public access. House comes with good amenities. Pool and Hot tub were great and well maintained. Decent sized bedrooms with comfortable beds. 1 bedroom with bunk beds for kids. Large living room for indoor activities. Very pleased with the communication. Had an issue with internet which was handled quickly. Would like to specifically thank Allison for her support. Cons: Would've liked basic necessities to be available. Linens are not provided, which I was only made aware of after booking the place. $199 to rent linens for a week is extremely expensive. We ended up bringing our own linens. Also, each restroom had only 1 roll of TP and no handwash/soap. Not a big deal or a deal-breaker but was kind of annoying and definitely something that should be mentioned in the Description of the listing. Some counters were dusty and triggered my allergies. While it is understandable for a house near the beach, it could've been avoided Bikes and beach gear look a bit worse for wear and may need replacing and bit of upkeep

Great beach house

First of all, this property has 4 bedrooms. When I was booking it, there was a discrepancy on the listing regarding the number of bedrooms. The house was perfect for the 8 of us. The kitchen was well-equipped; there was a closet full of pool and beach accessories; the dining table was a good size; the walk to the beach was quick and easy; the pool was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay.
