Townhouse has stunning ocean views from the roof deck. Features include:

air-conditioned (bedrooms only, not the combined lounge/dining area on the top level)

The complex also has a swimming pool with beach entry great for the kids.

Pack your swimmers, a fishing rod and a good book and be prepared to soak up the beach side lifestyle at Surfside.

No requirement to bring your own linen - all beds are ready made for your arrival, just unpack and enjoy! Starter pack of soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper etc provided. Please byo after that and BYO beach towels.
Please supply your own personal and household items such as hair and body products, washing powder, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, garbage bags etc.

Sleeps eight in two x queen size beds and four x single beds.

Babies or toddlers sleeping in a portacot or bassinet are not included in the maximum occupancy.
Portacots and high chairs can also be hired at an additional cost.

I think it should have been highlighted that there wasn't any linen supplied.

We loved the location and the layout of the accommodation. Just caught us out the first night when it was time to go to sleep that there were no sheets on the bedding. Perhaps this should be highlighted in BOLD or capitals so people don't miss this detail. Maybe put in at the top of the information not buried down a few paragraphs.

Great spot close to the beach

Had a week here just recently. Fantastic spot close to the beach with private track to the water. Great rooftop to view the ocean and moon at night. Saw some negative posts prior to staying so was a little concerned. No need. Older style but in great condition and would stay here again for sure. Great value for a 4 bedroom place in Rainbow

Good for a weekend

We have rated this property a 3 out of 5 stars. The photos definitely are a more glamorous than the property actually presence. The unit is definitely a lot more dated and rundown than pictured. The place could use a very good clean (very dusty including bedroom, living and bedding). Children had a hay fever reaction due to this. Also multiple levels therefore multiple levels of stairs which is not really explained. Also noise travels very very easily between floors as well as other units. Would consider coming back due to price and location and overall size of unit (we booked for 6 adults and 4 children) however would also consider problems mentioned above first and what else was around at the time.

Extremely disappointing

Firstly, we should have taken note of the previous guest views as we would not have booked this place. The photos on the Stayz website were most deceiving and the property is quite old and very much showing its age. On entering the property we immediately noticed numerous scuff marks and scratches on walls and floors and damp rot on some window sills. Worst of all the property had not been properly cleaned with lots of dust, dirt and fluff under the couches and beds. Windows were dirty from the inside, small scraps of paper and dental floss were seen on the ground floor laundry and bathroom, and dust was easily seen on the study nook desk, just to mention a few examples! (We took some photos and complained to the local real estate agency managing the property who were most apologetic and offered to send a cleaner around). However, looking at previous reviews it would appear that this was not the first time guests have noted the lack of cleaning. Further, the BBQ was only a hot plate and was dirty and uninviting. Likewise the pool area was most uninviting and pool edges were crawling with bull ants that put off our 2 year old granddaughter from entering the pool. Also, what is not evident from the website are the numerous stairs with four flights of stairs just to get to the lounge area and kitchen. Bit of an effort when carrying twin babies and a 2 year old. As far as ‘ocean views’ from the property as shown on the webpage, this is limited to a distant glimpse from the rooftop balcony by peering over the wall. Unlike other places we have stayed at over the past couple of years at Rainbow Beach, guest have to supply their own soap, toilet paper, tea towels, dishwashing powder etc., which we were not aware of other than bed linen and bath towels. Cooking utensils are limited which we were aware of from previous guest reviews, so we brought along our own fry pan, couple of small pots and condiments, salt and pepper, the latter not being supplied. In summary, the only positive thing we can say about the property is it has a nice bush setting and is a close walk to the beach. However, in our wildest dreams we would not rent this property ever again.

Good Location

A good location, close to the beach. Lovely clean new dishwasher and oven. Bathrooms apparently recently renovated but surfaces needed cleaning. The online photos were deceiving as the property was somewhat rundown. The BBQ and pool area were most uninviting. The floors were dirty with lots of dust and fluff under the beds. There was limited utensils so we had to buy some odds and ends from the Op Shop in town (i.e. bread knife, small glasses..). Three huge saucepans, no smaller ones. Lots of stairs, the whole unit echoed with any noise and could even hear guests in adjacent units walking up their stairs. No soundproofing on floors so noisy in bedrooms if anyone below was still trying to sleep. In summary, the six of us enjoyed our holiday, however we would not rent this unit again.

Great location by the beach

We had a great stay, location to the beach was awesome and hoisebwas perfect for our group. It just needs a bar table and stools on the top verandah so its a useabke space and you can sit and enjoynrhe views you pay for!
