I have an amazing 3 bedroom 3 bath home on 5 landscaped acres with a pool. The river rock bottom saltwater pool is a refreshing place to cool down after hiking the incredible volcanic crater only a few hundred yards away. The master bedroom includes 1 king and 1 queen bed. The two guest rooms include 2 queens (room 1) and 1 king and queen (room 2). This expansive single story 4000+sqft home includes high vaulted ceilings throughout and an open style living, dining and kitchen space with an island peninsula suitable for entertaining. The game room (room 2)includes a pool table and the front yard has a horseshoe pit, both great places to reconnect with your family and friends. The property has a large variety of fruit trees and a lush coconut palm grove. This unique tropical landscape is perfect for multiple families or a once in a lifetime event. This is the perfect venue for a small wedding, family reunion, memorial or corporate event.

This property surpassed our expectations. It was spacious, clean, private, and the pool was amazing. The wifi didn’t always work, but it was still an amazing experience, and we all loved our stay.
Thank you for making this a memorable stay.
This house was perfect for what I needed to have a lowkey vacation with my family. The host was very prompt with his responses to my questions throughout my stay. It was a little hot in the house but nothing that a little dip in the pool could fix. Overall I would stay again. Maholo plenty.
Was such a wonderful stay, we are locals and will be going back. The property manager was very nice and helpful. The property and home were awesome and we loved the pool!
Booking and Communication with the property owner/caretaker was seamless. The property is spacious and was more than enough room for our family of 14. The kids really enjoyed the pool table and outdoor saltwater pool.
Was great, everyone loved it. Lots of space, great area. Kids loved the pool and yard. Very friendly community.

Big property, clean, spacious. Pool is a nice touch and has good views
Cons:musty(run the fans and open windows), dated but functional, listing says it includes shampoo and soap, but only included 1/4 in all bathrooms
Overall a good stay nothing fancy but works for a large group, per thenowner Upgrades expected april 2024
Lots of room to spread out. We were 4 adults and 3 kids ages 8,10,&15. Everyone had there own bedroom and bathrooms per room. Pool was nice and clean. Neighbor who takes care of the property is very kind and helpful too. Lots to see on the island so you really are in a great place. Loved it can’t wait to go back.
What a great 4 day quick trip. The house was perfect and what we needed. It had enough space, the pool was amazing the kids were in as soon as we hit to the house. Plenty if bathrooms for all of us. The kitchen had everything we needed. Wifi was a little spotty but we didn’t need our phones except to take pictures!
We had a wonderful time at this farmhouse. We enjoyed the swimming pool. The caretaker made sure it was clean each day. We were brought fresh avocados, mangos and eggs that we simply enjoyed. The view from the swimming pool at night with a full moon is amazing. We were there for 7 days and was able to explore the whole island from this house. It is a bit away from the bigger towns, but we preferred it that way. Both Adam and the caretaker were very responsive and made our stay very enjoyable.
It has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Very secluded, a great place to unwind. You’ll have an extended drive when traveling, but once you’re back, it’s very tranquil. The pictures don’t do a justice to how much space you have. This place is huge. Adam the owner is very responsive to your needs and Al, who lives adjacent to the property is very helpful and keeps things in order. We enjoyed our time very much and would definitely rent this property again.
Our family had a wonderful time during our 10 days at this property. When we were there the kids literally played on every inch of the property and loved all the animals!! We saw goats, chickens roaming a cat that would come visit and lots of geckos! The caretaker was kind and always responsive when we needed him! The last night there was some police activity up the road that made us nervous but besides that we always felt safe and loved the big amazing house and property!!!!
Everything was as described. Have been dealing with some other stuff and have not had time to comment. The property is serene and very well stocked. The goats, sheep and chickens were not much different than home. Adam and Al are on top of everything. The property is private and an ultimate paradise in a lava field that is slowly bringing brought back to life. Been coming to this area for 30 years and this is by far the best place I have ever stayed.

Family Hawaii trip
We had a great time in Hawaii for 10 days. The house fit our family of 13 perfect and the kids loved the pool.
I wished the doors would lock. I felt we had to take everything with us when we left of value. The bedrooms where clean but the kitchen was very dirty, rack the pots and pans that were hanging and the ceiling fans had lots of dust. It would be nice if you had a 5 gallon jug of water to start families out.
Our family still had a great time.
Everyone loved Ellie Mae and the chickens.
We hope to visit another island in the next couple of years.
Thank you Al for your help.
The house was perfect for our whole family but we brought our dogs and they have chickens that come into the property as they live next door. So dogs chase chickens and it was very tense as I thought my dogs could roam free it being fenced in but we had to keep them on leashes the whole time outside and watch them as Adam was not happy. Other then that the place is beautiful located and the land is very nice. Pool was amazing but my mother in law who is 90 had a hard time getting in as no railings to enter pool. We did put a chair there for her and she was able to get in and swim. If u don’t bring amnimals I would highly recommend it.
This house was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!
Check-in was easy, communication was effortless and Adam/Al were ALWAYS available for any questions that popped up while there!
This property was the perfect location for our family trip (5 adults & 1 toddler), even on the rainy days there was plenty to do inside (each TV had Netflix, there was a cupboard full of various boardgames).
The property offered seclusion and was very quiet and conveniently close to multiple gas stations, stores etc if we needed anything.
The pool was a HUGE pro! The house had PLENTY of swim towels as well as various swim gear (flippers , goggles, kid's life jackets etc)
Kitchen is ENORMOUS and we picked up groceries and cooked for the entire week we were there. The kitchen was WELL stocked with all the basics needed!
My Niece LOVED waking up each day and feeding the farm animals: chickens, goat, sheep!
10/10 RECOMMEND!!

JUST SHY OF PARADISE
Wasn't going to review, but that's not fair to future renters. Positive: location is amazing close to lava and far from big city, secluded and immersed in nature. Al, he's a treasure that likely keeps this rental going still, he was helpful to no end and generous with eggs and fresh fruit, as well as tips and travel advice he really was a blessing. Spacious home we didn't need more than two bedrooms there were only four of us my wife and our two kids. But it was nice for everyone to have their own bathrooms. The night sky is beyond breathtaking. Lava close by is like a another planet.
Negatives: inaccurate description u don't get 5 acres, u get about a half acres of fence in locked gated yard, the kitchen is unusable and is completely infested with termites, the range and oven are gross and the cookware and utensils are not far behind that, spent 350 dollars on groceries on way in from airport and couldn't use anything not from fridge as termites would congregate in the thousands, Termites moved into almost all the rooms of the house. Furniture also had crawlies on them. Had to buy a 40 dollar pan to cook one breakfast in 5 days. Gave Al all the leftover food for a food pantry nearby. Every door in house going ourside is broken and falling apart. POOL is borderline dangerous with all the missing stones exposing sharp concrete edges underneath. Al did his best each day to keep it clean and clear but it needs more frequent and thorough cleaning between guests perhaps.

It's the little things
The property was as pictured however there were some things that should be improved. Being a first timer to the Big Island we were concerned about safety and privacy. In the main living space there are no blinds or window coverings. In the primary several blinds were broken off leaving gaps making it easy for strangers to look in. We were a little worried upon arriving so we got some tape & used the extra sheets to place over windows in the bedrooms so no one can look in. When we walked in it had an awful smell like mildew, probably from not being aired out for some time. We turned all the fans on and when we came back later that night it was much better. But the room with the pool table smelled the worst even after airing it out best we could. The kitchen is spacious but only one oven worked & two of the 4 burners worked. The pans were old & overdue for replacing. The king bed in the primary was rock hard, had to switch to the other bed which softer. Towels were old, scratchy, thin. The tub in the master bath couldn't get filled up bc the thing used to plug the water wasn't very good & the hot water ran out every time we would try & fill it. I reached out to the owner about no hot water but was told he was on the other side and there was nothing he could do & "good luck". I understand that he was far away but to tell me good luck was unnecessary, who says that to guests?! I feel there should be a plan in place when the host is unavailable to assist with those types of things.
Adam is an amazing host, and the property sits in a secluded and beautiful luscious green haven. The home is abundant with beds and places to rest your head, relax and refuel your soul. The photos do no justice as to how amazingly spacious and gorgeous this home is to fill with your family and friends. We loved the antique decor carefully placed through out the home. We made so many beautiful memories, lots of good healthy laughs, cooked an abundance of belly filling homemade meals because it’s a total plus that Walmart delivers groceries to the house, and the pool was just another great amenity to keep everyone together cool and entertained! Definitely a perfect family home is a MUST stay at on vacation! Mahalo mahalo mahalo Nui loa Adam and pool house in paradise Aloha The Sebay Ohana
