About this property
Escape to Maine! Enjoy the beauty and solitude!
A true escape! Our property offers rare unobstructed water views and waters edge location. This custom home and adjoining quintessential Maine cottage offer high-end amenities and comforts, including private swimming beach, central air conditioning, gas fireplace, Sub Zero and Viking appliances in the kitchen, reliable Wifi, 60" Smart TV with satellite DirecTV, jacuzzi bathtub with a water view, and treadmill. Guests enjoy unobstructed views from all house and cottage rooms and beautiful waters edge outdoor space. Importantly, we offer a unique, private tidal swimming/boating beach on a placid inland bay - power boats are few and far between.
Spring, summer and fall visitors have access to two separate buildings separated by 50 yards of gently sloping lawn. The cottage (sleeping as many as 5) is especially popular with couples with small children - you will have total privacy, your own bathroom, kitchen, and deck, and you can join the group at the big house whenever you like!
Toast smores on the fire pit at sunset, or explore the walking trails through the preserve. Play and dig on the beach, enjoy the island view from the comfortable patio, fish the bay for the many fish, such as striped bass and Atlantic salmon. Paddle out to Brick Island, where bald eagles nest. The bay's private tidal beach & minimal surf make for ideal swimming and paddleboarding. There are no drop offs or rough waves to worry about and our westward facing tidal bay makes for some of the warmest swimming water in all of Maine. It is perfect for swimming and digging with buckets, collecting sea glass and using other water toys. L.L. Bean kayaks, stand-up paddle board, canoes and lounging rafts are located directly on the beach for easy use. The property is home to bald eagles and other important and protected birds and flora, as the property abuts conservation land. The house is in very good proximity (less than 15 minutes) to a variety of shopping, fine and other dining in Brunswick and Bath, as well as the gateway to all midcoast tourist attractions.
Bath is part of midcoast Maine & the Boothbay Harbor region. Tour nearby historic Bath, voted of the best small cities in America, shop, dine and hop on the trolley . Visit Boothbay Harbor, Five Islands, nearby Freeport Outlets and L.L. Bean, Cundy's Harbor, Wiscasset, Georgetown, Popham Beach, Camden, Portland & more! Great room TV/Master TV, Internet, gas fireplace. Dining recommendations and touring information provided.

About the host
Hosted by Chris Bull and Sara Archambault

We are a tight knit team who loves Maine as much as we love each other! So pleased to share our special spot with fellow travelers.
Why they chose this property
It's beauty is overwhelming and while only 15 minutes from either Brunswick or Bath, this special spot feels like a total escape. You can shut down the worries of the world, walk the woods, kayak on the Merrymeeting Bay, and have a glass of something special on the deck and let all your troubles melt away.
What makes this property unique
A private beach on Merrymeeting Bay. Kayaks and SUPs. Ping pong table. Located at the end of the road abutting a nature preserve, with hiking trails near the property. Hammock, deck and patio. Outdoor grills. 15 minutes from both Bath and Brunswick dining and shopping, and only a short trip up the road to Wiscasset and mid-coast tourist attractions.
